This pizza is mediocre at best, pick your flavor and scrape the toppings off and throw the soggy, doughy crust out — 1 star. Their saving graces are having a salad bar that is not too bad and some damn fine chicken. Any place that still offers a salad bar gets extra credit in my books. This should be the Chicken Ranch, but I believe a certain house of ill repute in Nevada has dibs on the name. The chicken is perfect, it is broasted and juicy and addictive. I had 4 pieces today and could of eaten 4 more, but thankfully my boss and 3 co-workers were there to keep me moderately gluttonous instead of insanely gluttonous. I normally avoid buffets and dislike giving $ to corporate chains but with chicken this good I cave in, pig out and then walk away hating myself.

I have been getting pizza from them for over a year. I like to order online early and have it come when I want it. the last 3 times it has shown up 45 min early. Cold as well and the wrong order. So contacted store. waited 15 minutes on hold. manger said she would credit back my credit card. Next day no credit. Called as was told that last nights manager put a 10 credit in my name so if I called in to order they would give my that. what wait I spent 34.21 for cold pizza that showed up 45 min early. 10 dollar credit and that is if I new to call into get it. I told her I order online. she explained that I really should not anymore that there online ordering system screws up a lot. Really read the order when you get it. It say deliver at 7:15. Okay she says she will give me another 10 buck credit if I just call in my orders. Nice, I think, what about the credit to me credit card, oh I will have my boss do that because the system already closed yesterdays business and he has to do something super secret to credit it back. 7 days later, still waiting for the credit. Now you are 3 blocks from my house. You cannot bring a pizza on time, you cannot bring the correct pizza nor can you bring a hot pizza and now you cannot run a order online system according to you that works. for some reason when I sign in to you webpage it is always fill with christian says, christian rock music and lots of warm and fuzzy God loving stuff. How about keeping your word and give me my money back. So much for the Christian right way of doing things. I have left a message with the corporate office and here on Unilocal.Lets see if these people care. So would I order again. Dam I like some of there pizzas but if you cannot do it right, I think not. So run people, at least papa johns can deliver a hot pizza.

If you love broasted chicken, pizza ranch chicken is really good! BUT– Just be careful if you order a 20 piece chicken through the drive thru! Mostly small drumsticks, tiny wings, and a extra small thighs! The menu doesn’t specify what you will get in your two cardboard boxes, or how your order will be portioned. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Definitely not worth the almost $ 33 I was charged. You could combine both boxes into one, and still not fill up the container with your order. You would be better off with breaded bone-in wings from pizza hut. Tim Estabrook

the fried chicken was so salty and greasy almost inedible desert pizza with ice on top was incredible.

Pizza, fried chicken, and Christian contemporary music playing nonstop. I wasn’t expecting this place to be so religious. There were crosses on the walls and the non stop Christian music was a bit much. Now I’m not saying it was too much… Well I guess yes. Yes I am saying this lol. The décor on the inside kinda reminded me of Texas Roadhouse but without the free peanuts. Probably wouldn’t come back again.

I stumbled across this place by accident. I enjoy pizza AND buffets, so I gave it a shot. Pkeasantly surprised. Better than average pizza, salad bar, chicken, mashed potatoes, desert, etc !! The food was good, the staff nice. I’d strongly suggest it to anyone.

This was my second time to Pizza Ranch. Great option for large groups or kids. Plenty of fresh items hit the buffet frequently. They have a great salad bar, pizza bar, country food bar and dessert bar. The staff are frenzy and told us several times that they would bring out any pizza by request directly to the table. All of the food was hot and fresh. Pretty good flavor for the price.

Don’t go there for pizza unless you are really hungry and will accept quantity over quality. You can get better pizza frozen from the grocery store. If you have kids, they might like this place.

Eh, well it’s just ok. I have had much better pizza out of my own kitchen. A quick lunch is about all it has going for it.

Don’t go for the pizza, go for the fried chicken! Yes, I said fried chicken. Their pizza suffered from the one issue all pizza buffets suffer. Doughy crust. The pizza would have been good were it not for that fact. The fried chicken and sides were awesome! Well worth going back for. The people were friendly, courteous, and attentive. My kids will love it so I’ll take the wee pizza experts and update with their thoughts.

Had a terrific experience here. I really enjoyed their variety of food in their buffet. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, pizza, and desserts! Plus, we had a server that was extremely polite and had a great attitude. I loved the buffalo chicken pizza, it was my favorite, but I love pizza in general. The pumpkin dessert pizza was so good. I wish they had a location on the KS side, but thankfully they are close to my work so I will definitely be back!

I’m not giving Pizza Ranch 5 stars because of the pizza(although it was good) but the 5 stars is based of the customer service alone that we received. It was outstanding. All of the staff was super friendly. My family came in right as the buffet was closing. We were all weary, tired and hungry after a full day at Worlds of Fun. The cashier offered to let us eat what was on the buffet(which was a lot and fresh) at HALFPRICE. Super nice of him to do! He then even offered to make us a HOTFRESH pizza of our choice! Besides pizza on the buffet, there were also choices like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, wonderful salad bar. Also, as we were checking out the dessert pizza, the cashier offered us glasses to get root beer out of the soda machine to add with the vanilla ice cream for root beer floats(even though we had all ordered water). The staff went well above and beyond to make us enjoy our visit to Pizza Ranch! Another bonus is if you have kids they will love the INDOOR basketball court! I highly recommend Pizza Ranch for families!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Decent selection of salad bar items and there was also 2 soups. The pizza was really good. Thought it would be bland, lack of toppings and cardboard crusts like other pizza buffets. I was wrong! It was delicious. They also had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits, veggies. I didn’t try any of it, but it looked good. The biggest surprise was the ice cream. It was the smoothest and creamiest vanilla soft serve I have ever had; it rivaled DQ. The dessert pizzas were really good too. Soft chewy crusts and lots of fruit topping. My biggest complaint is the price. $ 6.99 for adults and $ 4.99 for kids is ok but if it were just $ 1.00 cheaper I would give another star*.

I order from them quite a bit. And to be honest there name is wrong. There pizza pretty much sucked BUT there chicken is amaaaazing. And there cheese breadsticks are pretty great as well. But there chicken is better the KFC. Churches and popeyes. Delivery is always 45 minutes and staff is always super friendly! Plus they deliver! Great for when in chicken mood. It’s not really fried it’s brazed I think they call it. MUSTTRY

Came here for lunch, I’ve been here a couple time prior to my Unilocaling adventures. They offer a wide variety of food, you can have many different styles of pizza and delicious fried chicken and to many side to list. A couple of my favorite pizza’s that are offered here are the taco pizza, buffalo chicken pizza and meat lovers. The décor is western style and seating is comfortable. The staff is friendly and always coming around collecting your dirty dishware. I would like to try some of their other items that they offer but I come here during my lunch time and I don’t try and eat to much so I don’t get the food coma kicking in, so with that being said their buffet prices may be just a tad high if your not filling up your plate a couple times. Yes I will still come here from time to time during my lunch break, I would like to try this place on my day off or on a weekend so I can really chow down and get the food coma started.

Great place! Kids liked it and parents did too. The prices were ok but the food was great! Very tasty chicken and great pizza selection. Their dessert selection is fruit pizza and ice cream. They have a salad bar too but… duh! It’s a pizza and fried chicken place! I would go again when we are in the area.

This is my second review. It appears that all the previous reviews were removed. So I’m keeping this review short. — Religious music playing on overhead. — Good food and a variety at the bar. — Ask them for a special pizza when you pay and they will bring it to your table so you get first dibs before it goes onto the bar.

People love to knock Pizza Ranch. But guess what? I’m not a hater. I’m a fan. We discovered pizza ranch several months ago when we were house-hunting in the Northland. We went on a Saturday and had quite the experience. We’ve been several times since. We’ve even brought my Dad here and he liked it, too! I love that this is a pizza buffet but so much more! I love that you can request different pizza toppings and styles when you want. That is definitely catering to the customer. I love going to the salad bar, sampling different pizza and indulging in dessert. The taco pizza is probably my favorite style pizza at Pizza Ranch. It’s loaded with veggies and tortilla chips. It’s very tasty and different. My second favorite is probably the alfredo pizza. My better half Douglas loves to try all the funky toppings such as Chicken Bacon Ranch and Sweet Chili. He loves it! I love the dessert pizza with the creamy ice cream. I saw a review on here saying how the ice cream was disgusting. Seriously? It’s fresh and velvety smooth. I’d try it again if I were you. I love that you can sign up for a rewards card. We’ve saved $ 5 off a purchase one night! Those points add up. Also, I purchased a LivingSocial deal where I paid $ 15 or $ 25 bucks for basically 5 $ 10 buffets. That’s an awesome deal. We have two left! The staff is always friendly and wanting to serve. They always offer refills(even though they don’t have to!) and clear plates off tables. We always tip because they do such a great job. We always leave in a food coma. While that sounds like a bad thing, it is because I know I have a belly full of delicious pizza. Never a bad visit. We’ll be back! Thanks!

The other day I was«up North» and saw Pizza Ranch. I don’t know why, but I felt called to try this new place. My friend lives in the area and I asked her about it. She told me she thought it was a buffet of gourmet pizza, but hadn’t heard anything about it. After reading other reviews and viewing their website, I was pretty sure it wasn’t gourmet, but I still really wanted to give it a try. I’m not a big fan of buffets because I typically don’t eat huge portions in one setting, but we like to try different places so I decided we’d go for Friday supper. Of course it was pretty busy, but there were still plenty of open tables. When you come in and pay you walk right through the busy buffet area. There are several employees bustling around and you find yourself feeling like you are trying to cross a busy highway to get to the dining areas. The selection was much smaller than I’d expected and the price was pretty hefty. I eat at Pizza Street regularly and like it, along with the prices. This was about twice as much as Pizza Street(although drinks were included) and I feel like the pizza selection was about half. Of course, this place has fried chicken and a better salad bar. I got a couple of waffle fries and a potato wedge. The wedge was cremated. The waffle fries were okay, but unnecessary. I tried the baked beans(bleh) and mexi-corn(bleh too). The coleslaw on the salad bar was pretty good. We also tried the Wisconsin cheese soup(yeah, Wisconsin probably wouldn’t agree with them on that) and minestrone. The minestrone was pretty good, but I’m never a fan of the herbs used in minestrone, so I only ate a few bites. I’m not sure if Pizza Ranch has something against mushrooms — I love them, but there were not any on the salad bar or ANY pizzas. I made a small salad, which was great: spinach, cranberries, cheese crumbles. The ranch dressing was really good. Then i went to grab some chicken and pizza. Honestly, most of the pizza options didn’t thrill me at all. I got a Green Chili slice, and a couple others and a chicken thigh. I did really like the green chili pizza. It was spicy, but not overly so. If it’d had meat on it, I would have loved it. The other pieces of pizza were so-so. The chicken was delicious. After that, I decided to try dessert. I ended up with a slice of cherry and a slice of what was labeled apple, but I’m pretty sure was peach. Mom ended up with apple that had been labeled peach. The ice cream is that gross icy milk substance that is just barely edible. We both really loved the cherry dessert, but the others were nothing special. I still can’t figure out what made the cherry so good, but it was awesome. So, my advice: If you go, get chicken. Maybe a green chili pizza(add some sausage or something) and the cherry dessert. Since they have a drive thru, you might want to do that because this place is a little hectic. When you leave, you have to fight your way back through the entrance(there was a huge line of people), they could really use a second door as an exit!

I’ve been here 3 times since opening and I absolutely love it. I was ecstatic when I heard Pizza Ranch was coming to KC because I remembered it from my college days in Iowa. I encouraged all my co-workers for a lunch out and I was so happy that Pizza Ranch did not disappoint. It is more expensive, but you get a much wider range of options and a higher level of service. The pizza and chicken are great. If you want something that is not out there, just ask! My favorite, however, hands down is the dessert pizza/Cactus Bread. Fresh from the oven it is gooey melty and just freaking amazing. I will be back. I love Pizza Ranch’s food, DESSERTPIZZA, and the workers here are always friendly. I have never been to a more attentive buffet. Everything is always stocked and the dishes are always removed from the table quickly.
