I love Popeyes more than any other fast food chain there is but this location on Troost Ave. is the absolute worst. From incompetent employees/management to cold food. This is the closet location to my home 1 ½ miles away but I drive to the one on in Raytown or near Kansas just because this one is so bad. I had to call corporate on them.

I rate two stars because the drive thru takes forever & the employees are rude and incompetent. My meal came with a drink and the guy looked at me crazy when I asked where my drink was.

There a new Popeye’s in town. I don’t often east fried chicken, really much deep fried food at all, but I am glad I stopped! After consuming unhealthy amounts of gizzards and livers at a competitor over a short period of time, I decided to address my addiction by giving up the competitor for lent. Imagine how happy I was to see that this Popeye’s offers livers and gizzards on their local favorites menu! They are not as good as their competitors, but still pretty decent. The gizzards are more grissley so I would probably go for livers here. They also only offer a combo of the two in a meal. I don’t want a side and drink, just the meat. If you order just livers or just gizzards you can get them alone. Weird. Also, you get a biscuit instead of a roll. I prefer the roll with my ‘lizzards’. Service was great. Super friendly. It may be grand opening good vibes, but everywhere go in this area always has great customer service. I will be back. Hopefully I can manage some self control unlike my total lack of self control for the competitor.
