My husband and I went into the AT& T Store on Chouteau Trafficway in Jun 2014. We initially were only going to buy two new phones. The representative we dealt with was Joey and was very personable and professional. We ended up buying two new Samsung Galaxy 5 phones with all the bells and whistles. Then the manager Gino mentioned to my husband about a special going on where you get a $ 100.00 gift card when you sign up for U-Verse service for your home. We did just that. The service was scheduled for 6÷20÷2014 then AT&T cancelled the call without calling me and I had waited 4 hours for them to come out only to call and find out they had cancelled due to a problem outside my home(not our fault).call was rescheduled for 6÷22÷14. The man that came out was awesome. That ended up being an all day thing since AT&T had not yet fixed the outside problem. I had a man outside fixing the outside problem then they did the install for the new service. Then I was told within 30 days of the new service being installed that AT&T would send a confirmation letter indicating they acknowledge our new service and the letter would have a confirmation number we could enter online to receive out $ 100 giftcard. I never received letter. I then called the 800 number for AT&T and after being on hold for 12 minutes get a representative that barely spoke English. Her name was Joanne and she asked if she could put me on hold and after 5 minutes I was disconnected. I was not happy at all having to call back and be put on eternal hold. I finally get a Ben who after looking at my account said he had no idea what I was talking about as far as a gift card. I asked if he could contact the dealer(I mean afterall he was suppose to be the Customer Service Rep for AT&T) and he said he was not allowed to make outgoing calls and was told he was not in our country… mad mad mad, I was… Then I called the store. I have had to do so much leg work on this it is pathetic. As of today I have called a total of 6 – 7 times within the past 10 days and the rep. at the store Joey told me I would be getting a credit due to my inconvenience but that was all he could do and would have the manager call me. I was very appreciative of Joey’s assistance in this matter but still want the $ 100.00 gift card for cash we were promised. The manager Gino had been told to contact me and again I have called and left numerous messages without a return call from Gino. This morning I call the store and spoke with a man name Mark(very nice) and explained to him the problem. He said Gino had just come in and would transfer me to him… A few minutes later Mark gets on the phone and says: per Gino«he will get back to you later today», I was upset Gino didn’t get on the phone to talk to me and he knows I have continually called. I think he is a poor representative of AT&T and he should not be a manager. Plain and simple, I want my $ 100.00 gift card that was promised to me.
