Star Pavillion

Star Pavilion is the theater/​event space in Ameristar. I’m really glad that it’s right inside the entry to the casino, ‘cuz Ameristar is one of the smokiest places I have ever been. We ventured to Ameristar to catch a Quixotic production that was in the Star Pavilion and Quixotic’s performance was amazing as always. But this space leaves a lot to be desired. Our seats were good, and it’s small enough that there likely aren’t any bad seats in the house in terms of viewing angles, but the seats were cheap crappy chairs set up on temporary risers. They were packed in tightly and had been labeled with seat numbers hand-​written on tape. Classy! The seats were really uncomfortable which distracts you a bit from the performance because you find yourself rearranging yourself continuously to gain a decent level of comfort.
I would be willing to return here, but only if it was for something I desperately wanted to see.
