This is because the staff equaled the patron before me in terms of stupidity. Let me state, we were checking out of the hotel. I was hungry and wanted a latte – preferably a good chai, but since I had one from here the day before I knew if I got one it would taste watery. I was willing to deal with that. The man in the elevator with us, literally raced past me as I was lugging a bag in the obvious direction of Starbucks so he could be before me. Way to go Mr. Manners. Apparently he ordered the breakfast turkey whatever I wanted because I overheard it. Do note that I did not ensure that the order registered in my brain because it was not that important to me and not something I planned to order on a regular basis. Now it is my turn. I ask if they have the turkey thing. Why yes they do. Oh joy. So I order that watered down thing they call a chai latte and the turkey whatever. I go sit down to FaceBook it up while I wait. And then a worker comes over to inform me that NO they are out of them. Really? HENCE that is why I asked? This is a prime example of service incompetence. Now before you go thinking I am some uppity biznitch… I come from the service industry. I was raised in a restaurant that my father built from the ground up and my husband is a professional server at the restaurant in Houston known for the finest service in the city… plus I put myself through college as a server… not to mention the other jobs I had where customer service was what I did most of the time. Even now, I have internal clients and guess what… I SERVETHEM. So the point is, know what you have. Make sure when you tell someone you have it that you actually do. Do not do so willy nilly. People are counting on you for correct information. Getting the correct order may be the only thing that goes right for someone that day. For all you know they could be going through a very tough time… mother in hospital, child ran away, lost their job, etc… You just never know. So Starbucks make someone’s day GETTHEDAMNORDERRIGHTANDDELIVERTHECORRECTINFORMATION. 20 Halley puppies sit with their heads down and the Charlie Brown music plays. Halley puppy is very sad.

It might’ve been the fact that it was a crowded weekend due to a conference but the service was slow and the staff was somewhat rude. By 9 am the had ran out of most their breakfast items and I mean if they don’t have coffee it would have been disaster. Starbucks prices are already on the high end, but not worth it with this kind of service, I really hope it was because they were overwhelmed.

This Starbucks is one of the most poorly run I have ever encountered. It is located in the lobby area of the Crowne Plaza, where I stay often for business. Today there were hardly any people in there when I went in, and I ordered a couple of very simple items. There were no stir sticks out, and when I asked for them I was told«oh we don’t put those out anymore.» When I asked for a cup holder for my multiple drinks, one girl stood at the register and asked another girl to get them, but then the girl standing at the register stood and watched while the other one looked, refusing to work with additional customers in the line at all during this process even though she was not contributing anything to the effort. The tables are not well cleaned, and during the week when it is slammed with a line out the door all of these flaws are just magnified many times over. Definitely worth hitting the coffee shop a block down the street instead.

This is a fake Starbucks, go to the real one two blocks away. This one will not take your gold card benefits or promotional codes, and their prices are higher. Posers.

Excellent service, very friendly. This is my neighborhood Starbucks, and my experience has been different from most other reviewers. I don’t know if there has been a staff turnaround in response to poor reviews, but the staff here is always extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve been here dozens of times and I’ve never had a bad experience.

Ok, after my excitement over their extended hours, I’ve come to realize that there are two glaring CONS about this Starbucks that I can’t ignore. 1. Their prices are ridiculously higher than any other Starbucks in town(even throughout most of the U.S.). My usual Venti Chai Latte is anywhere from $ 4.25 to $ 4.40 depending on tax differences. Here? $ 4.95! They raised the prices LAST winter and the explanation I got was that they raise their prices at xmas time. Um… no. No, you don’t. No other Starbucks that I’ve ever been to does this. Plus, they didn’t lower them back to normal range after xmas, so obviously that was a bunch of hooey. We’re not in Manhattan for cripes sake. Way to gouge weary travelers at the hotel. 2. The staff here are atrociously rude. Maybe because it’s in a hotel and they deal with cranky travelers all the time? It’s jarring, considering the friendliness you get at most other Starbucks locations. So now I only go here if I’m desperate. Which is sad, because I really do love the fact that they’re open all weekend and relatively late into the evening. But because of those two things, I’d almost rather get in my car and drive down to 41st& Main just to avoid it.

I hate this Starbucks, every single person who works here is unbelievably rude. Sure the coffee is the same but it’s priced higher. I would rather drive to a completely different part of town than have to endure the rude staff at this location. If you’re downtown between 6am-6pm, I would definitely suggest walking 2 more blocks and visiting the friendly staff at 1100 Main St.

This is a convenient location for me when on my way to work downtown. It’s easy to get in an out except when there’s a convention downtown then they are too short-staffed to make anything happen at a decent pace. Also, there is one person who works here who is one of those people who likes to get through an entire transaction without ever speaking a word. This one person is not representative of the other employees that work there. For the most part the other staff are efficient and friendly. If you’re downtown this location is a perfectly good for your coffee stop.
