The KC Improv Company

I had such a great time at this comedy club! I give them three stars because the wit staff was not very attentive and their purchase prices were a bit steep! But, I laughed until I cried. I will definitely frequent the club for the laughter.

I found out about this show thru Unilocal Events. I bought tickets thru Event Bright and came in to the show with no trouble. A fun time was had by all. Green Room had drinks and games before the show. Great time, keep up the good work guys.

Simply stated, if you’re a fan of improv do not miss the opportunity to check this place out. Don’t expect a Second City environment or the associated high cost. DO expect a lot of laughing. Since it is very affordable, I take my family every couple of months and we are never disappointed.

Started out hilarious. Was worth it for the money and something different to do. Kinda fizzled. Couple of very talented actors that will likely be famous soon. Some should stock up on their wine to go with the cheese they were bringing.

Went to the Underground Throwdown Comedy show last night while in town visiting family and had a great time. It was our first glimpse of the Improv shows that KC has to offer. We will definitely be scoping out shows every time we come back to visit.

I’ve been improvising since about 2007, when I started taking classes at The Second City Los Angeles, and I wasn’t sure what to expect from the KC improv community.
My first week here I went to a drop in class and honestly, I am impressed. KCIC, also known as Kick, has some really quality classes and long form shows. I am currently enrolled in the level four class and have really enjoyed the ability to stretch my improv muscles and play. The players are smart and funny, the instructors have a multitude of specialties, and the shows are very good quality. I particularly enjoy the third Saturday of the month with the Underground Throw down, Dog and Friend Dog, and Keith plus one.
Also, they have drop in classes every Saturday afternoon so you can non-​commitally dip your toe in the metaphoric improv pool.

This theater is an absolute diamond in Westport. They offer a couple shows a week with some of the funniest people in Kansas City. Can’t say enough good things about this theater
