Being from NYC, I was hesitant to check out a pizza place while on vacation on Kauai. But, after several people recommended Casa Bianca(and after many crappy, overpriced meals in Kapa’a/Wailua), we decided to give it a try. Not only did we absolutely love it(get pineapple on your pizza!!), but I told the owner it was better than anything I’d had in NY. Obviously pizza is a very subjective, but I’m a fan of good sauce and a firm, crispy crust. Service was great, too. We loved it so much, we went twice in one week! Dear Casa Bianca: open a location in NYC, please!!!

Not good for pizza. The good reviews from others persuaded us to give this place a shot one night that we didn’t want to go out — unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. We placed a take out order, were told it would be 45 minutes, showed up at the 45 minute mark, and it ended up taking nearly an hour and 15 minutes to get our pizza. When we showed up, it almost seemed that they forgot to put the order in the queue. The service was pleasant enough, but… c’mon… over an hour for a pizza is a bit ridiculous for a place that was *not* busy — only around 3 tables with people inside. Efficient pizza spots typically can produce a pie in 30 minutes, and given the crowd I saw, I don’t see why it couldn’t have taken 15 – 20. As for the quality of the food, I must admit I’m a bit of a pizza snob and typically prefer brick oven style pizza(Sally’s on Wooster street in New Haven, CT is *the best*), but I can appreciate pizzas of all different types — it’s a favorite food. In any event, this pizza had an excessive quantity of sauce which made it a bit soupy, and not too tasty. Crust was OK, but nothing special — really, the overabundance of sauce ruined it for me. Also of note, we had two pies that night, one of which was a Hawaiian. The Hawaiian did not have fresh pineapple — are you kidding me? I’m not a fan of Hawaiian pizza myself, but the rest of my party was pretty upset that on Hawaii, a Hawaiian pizza had canned pineapple!

I so wanted to give this place a good review after reading the others, which btw, is why we chose this place. I so wish we had the experience that the rest of you had. That pizza you had sounds delicious. I debated writing a lengthy review detailing our entire experience here but I don’t read those reviews, so why would you? So, real long story short; we came in hungry, it was busy, we ordered and waited. And waited, and waited for a Hawaiian pizza. After 45 minutes and people who came in after us were finished eating, we said something. Then we were told that it was our fault because we were the last ones in(did you read the last sentence??). They comped our pizza but not our salad. We waited another 40 minutes and took it to go. When we got home it was something that looked like a kindergartner cut, not one normal geometric shape on the whole thing, and I don’t think my dog would’ve even eaten it. Just a little tip from one restaurant person to another: The customer is always right and if a table has waited an excessive amount of time for their food, and you«want their business,» you comp everything and maybe throw in dessert. You certainly don’t argue with them and make excuses or drop the F bomb under your breath as you are walking away. In my mind, mistakes happen such as tickets getting lost on a busy night. Been there, done that. It’s how the situation is handled afterward that makes or breaks the experience. In my case, I would never go back and certainly would never recommend it to anyone because I like you all to much to have to feel the way that I did. I hate giving one star reviews but it is a necessary evil.

Great place, and all the food is made authentic. Nothing we had was out of a jar, can or premade. This was a family owned place, and the atmosphere was something else. I absolutley loved it. They had french doors that open up and let the cool breeze come on in. Me and my wife came back a few nights. It was that good. Now if you say a lazy blonde lab, dont be alarmed that is «Roy» the owners pet. No, he wont let Roy in the place. Enjoy.

Casa Bianca is a neighborhood type Italian restaurant with moderate prices and good food. Friendly staff, good service, It is not fancy rather it is a simple place serving familiar Italian dishes, including pizza. We enjoy going there. Currently, the management allows guests to bring in their own wine or whatever without a corking fee. That could change especially if they get a liquor license.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best things. What do I mean? Casa Bianca offers the basic italian food items like pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. Will this do for me as I am jaded? After multiple failed attempts at locating a moderately good quality restaurant in Kauai, I stumbled upon a local in town that referred me here. After sun baking and sight seeing, my wife and I were famished and needed to get good grub, and quick! Went straight to Old Town Kapaa and got parking with ease. Dropped into the joint and what do you know, the local who referred me was there! What a coincidence! Promptly scanned the menu and ordered up a spaghetti and meat sauce bolognese dinner, and a Hawaiian pizza. You will notice that the pasta will have two columns: one for a la carte and one for dinner. The dinner version adds about $ 5.00 and includes your bread/butter, salad, drink(non alcoholic), the entrée and dessert. Seems like a no brainer. The salad came out first, filled with fresh lettuce, banana peppers, olives, onions etc. Hot French bread with butter also arrived at the same time. The small Hawaiian pizza followed shortly and gave me a pleasant surprise; the crust was thin and crispy with the perfect blend of cheese, smoky ham, and pineapple. Wow! The spaghetti followed and was topped with a rich, meaty bolognese sauce. The sauce was cooked with meat for 4 hours prior to serving to substantially incorporate the meatiness. I would say they were quite successful. Dessert: great ice cream made up of pistachios and cherries. You get a ton of fine food for your money here and I would definitely come back here for pasta and pizza. Well done.

I tried this place based on Kevan’s review. I got 2 large pies and a couple salads for take out. Sat at the bar while waiting. The owners, cooks and servers were super friendly and the food was fantastic.

I’m rooting for this place to succeed! It’s family-run, they use homemade fresh ingredients, it’s reasonably priced, and the service is great. I went with 3 other hungry guys. We ordered a large deluxe pizza(green bell peppers, sausage and mushrooms), meat ravioli, & the house salad. The marinara sauce on the ravioli was divine. The pizza was very tasty — they cook the peppers in oil before baking on a pizza so they are extremely sweet. The salad was full of fresh cheese, meats, fresh lettuce, and homemade italian dressing. We were stuffed and it broke down to about $ 14 a person. They don’t have a liquor license yet so BYOB(we brought our own red wines).
