Is there some requirement for bicycle rentals to suck? First off, you need to upgrade the bike to get gears and two brakes. Now you’re paying more for a beat up $ 199 Schwinn Riverside than you are for your rental car, and your beater rental car is in much better shape. The bikes are absolutely not allowed on hills. If you’re a rebel and you push this rattling, squeaking, heavy pile of metal up a tiny hill, you’ll be banging and shaking all the way down. +1 star because the bike made it 10 miles without falling apart.

This was a wonder place and run by some of the nicest people. We check another shop only to find that there rental was for the entire day which would not be practical given we were only wanting to ride for a few hours. And so we discovered Hele bike shop tucked right behind Ono family restaurant in Kapa’a. The rates were very fair and good running his and hers bikes. The beach bike trail was only a block away and we rode north for at least 4 miles. What a beautiful ride it was along the coast.

Rental equipment was in great shape. The rental process was quick and easy. Owners are super friendly and helpful. The price was just right. We rented for a week without a problem.

Frannie welcomed us the moment we came into her shop offering us free use of sun screen and the bathroom. She offered free use of bike basket and helmets. The prices are fantastic. We rented two beach cruiser bikes for 2 ½ hours and spent under $ 20 Her shop is very close to the amazing bike path where we captured many beautiful photos. Upon our return she welcomed us back and gave us great suggestions for lunch nearby. Would highly recommend as a great location, reasonable pricing and excellent customer service.

You have a few options in Kappa’a for bike rentals, but this company offers great pricing, including week long rentals. Bikes are the best way to get around town and you must enjoy the bike path. They are super nice and friendly.

Thank you to aunty Frannie for wonderful customer service. Renting from this place is cheap & reasonable. I like that she caters to both locals and tourists. 2 bikes for $ 10.00 the first hour then $ 2.50 each hour after. $ 15.00 for 3 hours or more. I think you should try this this place out. You won’t regret it!

Much aloha to Frannie, Sadie, and Napela for the awesome time we had today. The ride was so much fun and we got some unbelievable shots along the bike path. The best customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. Hele On is located next to Ono Ono shave ice and Pono Market. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

My mom and I were able to rent two cruisers for two hours and it was only $ 15. The customer service from the young local dude was awesome too. Can’t beat the value and/or the service! Rent from this place when cruising the Kapaa bike path.

Great value rentals. Super friendly staff. Just know, you get what you pay for. Their rental cruisers are extremely old and they feel a bit beat up. That said, they did the trick for what we were looking for. In response to owner: I respectfully disagree. I own multiple bikes and cruisers and live in one of the cruiser capitals of the USA. The bikes were nowhere near a year old. Maybe you replace the fleet with used bikes, but they are absolutely not bikes that were new a year or less ago. Still great value and did the trick. Just false advertising if you’re pitching these as new.

The best bike rental! 2/$ 10 for an hour?! We loved it. We rented two bikes. And since I’m a local, I think we got a little bit of discount and we rode for two hours. The views were amazing and so refreshing. I’ve never been past kealia beach on the bike path, and it was beautiful. I am definitely doing it again. This is the best deal at this place. And when you bring the bikes back you can stop at ono shave ice!

Great value! Our family rented for only an hour but that was enough to pedal down the trail to some fantastic vistas. Really a lot of fun to ride a cruiser for a change from road or mountain bikes. The owner is a sweetheart and doesn’t price gauge. Our bikes were in excellent condition, not to mention the Barbie pink color just makes one smile.
