I visited Joe’s shop back in May of ’07 and still feel grateful for his help. I was on vacation, and with many days still remaining had run out space on my digital camera; I wanted to transfer the pictures to my USB drive. I was a guest of some friends and didn’t have time or transportation to solve my dilemma. I first found another photo shop nearby. The lady there had a public computer but refused to let me plug my USB drive into it(worried I might infect her über-important public computer with a virus…) and was downright rude about it. When we found Joe’s shop, not only did he help transfer my pictures and solve my problem with total warmth, but what really made my vacation was when he realized one of my family members had served in WWII. He proceeded to express his deep gratitude and gave me a «final inspection» keepsake which I still have and cherish. I have such a fantastic memory of him and his shop. He truly embodied the aloha spirit. I look forward to my next visit — hopefully soon.
