By far the worst experience ever!!! I had my vehicle serviced here today. I dropped off vehicle at 10:53 am as a walk in for a oil change and safety check. I understood from Jason that it would take 2 – 3 hours because I was a walk in. The wait sucked but I needed my car serviced and my safety check needed to get done. I handed him all my paperwork for my safety check and he said everything looked good (registration and insurance). I returned at 1:40pm to see if my vehicle was finished. To my disappointment they didn’t even start on my vehicle. They told me I still had 3 vehicles in front of me. I expressed my anger about not being notified by a phone call. I explained the inconvenience they caused me and they simple asked if I wanted to reschedule, after losing 3 hours already. I asked how much longer and he said it should be done by 5pm. So a few more hour, I thought at least it will all be done and over with. BUT NO! I returned at 4:35pm and come to find out my safety check was not done. He said my insurance card was a printout not the original, although Geico offers a print out so you have a proof until the original arrives, and it is active. He also confirmed my paperwork was good when I gave it to him in the morning. I am extremely upset about the wait time, the lack of communication and extremely poor customer service. I will have to return to this shop just to get my safety check finished which by this experience… should take all day! DO NOT SERVICE ANYTHING HERE!!! THIS SHOP SUCKS!!!

They arranged my inspection on the same date and there were wait time but decent. Thanks to Adam for helping me putting plates when I went back. It was very nice, beyond and above. I appreciate it!

Yes it is tough to find. Maybe a sign on the other side of the building would help. Overall pleased with service. Made an appointment with Adam the day before for 9 am. I arrived and Jason checked me in right away and it appeared they were pretty busy as expected for a Saturday morning. He advised that since I made an appointment it would only take a couple of hours so I walked around the corner had breakfast at McDonald’s, played candy crush on their free wifi and then headed back around 1100 to see if my truck was ready. Not quite ready so I sat under the trees outside in the shade and relaxed. By 1125 my truck was ready and I headed to the beach with new shoes for my truck. Btw I brought my own tires with me so not sure what they stock or how the buying side of it goes. My wife came here a few months ago to get a tire replaced that was damaged. It was under warranty and she had no issues getting the tire replaced for free as stated on the warranty. Will come here again if needed.

Oil change took more than 3 hours. Good thing I had an appointment to get it done at 8:30 AM so I could spend the rest of the morning on errands. Also: they could not do the state safety inspection because they said their license had expired. During my extremely long wait, 3 or 4 other people came in for the inspection that they could not get. Oh, their coffee pot was out of order, something I would not have noticed if they had not taken 3+ hours to change my oil.

Bottom line up front: be careful when taking your car in to this shop my experience makes me question their mechanical expertise
I dont normally write reviews but thought everyone should know about my experience. So I took my car to this shop thinking I would get better service as my wife has had issues with the fast lube across the street. Boy was I wrong. This place is just as bad. Lexus design for my car has it with different size tires on the front and back. I picked up my car yesterday and while driving around noticed an occasional jackhammer type of noise. I originally thought it was due to the road construction for the rail and then the noise happened again as I was turning into my house which is nowhere near a construction site. Upon inspection I noticed that they rotated my tires and put the front tires in the rear and my rear tires on the front… the noise was from the larger rear tire hitting my front wheel well whenever I made sharp turns. This type of shoddy service makes me question the expertise of their mechanics and if they are even doing their job right under the hood because they cant even get the simple things right. The only good thing about this experience was that I was able to bring my car in right away and have them put the tires in the correct configuration… no sorry, no apologies, no offer of discount on my next service was offered… next time ill be taking my car elsewhere

In response to my unfortunate situation regarding my tire. I am satisfied that Goodyear made things right. I’ll probably be more cautious with their services. But, I love how it was handled. For that I am giving them four stars!

They never answer the phone!!! And they take forever to finish your car. I dropped my car off at 1030 the attendant said it will be done by 4pm because i am a walk in. The attendant calls me back at 2pm to tell me they cant take my car because its too busy. If that was the case he should have called me sooner so i could take my car else where.

I just got new tires put on after carefully researching my options (since my vehicle is my office for work) and was extremely satisfied with the service and price. I live in Kalihi and I know that there are many shops conveniently closer to me but I chose to go where there is good service and where the price is fair. Unlike Discount Tires where I previously bought my tires in the past, Good Year Kapolei actually cared enough to provide options and ask for my preference.
I’m also enjoying the tires (Dunlop Direzza DZ102). I ran them hard and I am pleased with the performance.

How long does it take to do a retest vehicle safety inspection for a missing license plate?
2 hours?

The only pleasant experience I’ve ever had at this Goodyear. Thank you for the seamless leak repair. Thank you Sean for your aloha and honesty, you didn’t try to bull&$@% me into paying for nonexistent problems or anything!

I read the previous reviews and was kinda skeptic but I scheduled an appt for a Sunday 11:00 car inspection anyway cause it was expiring and had no time to drive around. From the time I walked in Sean and another guy (no name tag) greeted me and took care of me. While they do the car inspection I walked over to longs drugs to do a little shopping and came back car was done. They both were very courteous, even to the other customers, they said hello and will be right with them. So because of the bad reviews I wanted to say that I did not have a bad experience and give them a 5 star rating.

Horrible service. Don’t waste your time coming here. Made a 10AM appointment told me around 1.5hr wait. Came back after 90 min and waited for my car back. Asked if they had an estimate on when services would be done they said they’d check and didn’t hear back for 30min.
It’s now been 3 hours and I’m told I need a new tire on a puncture to the tire. I’m sorry couldn’t you have figured that out at 10AM when I had my appointment? Or did it take 3 hours to asses a nail in a tire?
Amateur hour is every hour here.

Went here just to ask if I could get a safety check. I was ignored for a while standing there. Guy at front desk had a shitty attitude. I know you are busy, but that’s how it is in the automotive field. Don’t take it out on me. Poor service. Don’t go here. Waipio location is better. I ended up going across the street to Flagship Fast Lube instead.

Absolutely awesome service… bought 2 new tires a couple weeks ago; had a slow leak in one of my old tires that they fixed, at no cost! Friendly, courteous, and efficient. So nice to deal with people who care about their jobs. Mahalo and aloha to Michelle, Dean, and the technicians who worked on my car.

The guy at the front desk is rude, they take 4hrs just to change 1 tire stay far away from this place a DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I made an appointment online for an oil change and 29 point inspection which includes brake inspection. When I showed up for my appointment 2 days later I was told the wait time would be at least 2 hours before they could take my car in. I told the rude unfriendly lady that I had an appointment, but that didn’t matter. Apparently they have disclaimers in their appointment confirmation emails that say if they’re busy the appointment time will not be honored. Whats the point of having appointments if they don’t follow them?!
When the mechanic brought my car around 4 hours later I asked him about the brakes which was part of the service inspection that I requested along with the oil change. Well he didn’t have time for the inspection and he told me that I would have to make another appointment for the following day. There is no way I am not wasting another afternoon on their slow and horrible service.

Walking in the front office is clean and open. There is one or two people usually at the counter performing check in.
I had an appointment for a safety check. Are safety checks the last items to be done! As it did take 44 minutes. I’ve has walk in safety checks that took way shorter.
The state requires safety check, we need to have responsible and efficient check locations. For us to have to wait this long is messed up.
The service workers were friendly enough, but doesn’t really make up for the slow service.

The people were super nice… but…they estimated it would take 1.5hours and it ended up taking just under 3 hours for them to replace the back 2 tires. It was kind of busy, but everytime they came to tell us they’d check on the car, we never heard back from them. Moderately priced for the tires and able to get us in on a walk in but wish they could have been faster or at least told us a more accurate estimate for the time it would take.
