A small store, but the employees are great and very helpful. Not a big selection, but it’s very reasonable prices and there is always a selection at a big discount. Great little store.

Not much surf shops on this end of the island so convenience is great! They might not have all the gadgets that the bigger HIC store has but there is enough. It is an outlet shop! And since it is an outlet shop that does mean $ savings. Lol.

There’s really nothing special about this HIC… It’s just like every other surf shop in my opinion except for some of their items are discounted! They do have some clothing that the regular stores have at the same price. It’s located in the same shopping center as En Fuego & Tesoro gas stations. If you don’t feel like driving to pearlridge or town… this is the place to go! THEYHAVEWAXFORYOURBOARDIFYOUNEEDIT!!!

A smaller HIC store in the Kapolei Shopping Center. It’s an outlet store, but still worth a visit. SELECTION: NOTE: Comments here will focus mainly on the selection of clothing available for men, although they also have clothing for women. Lots of the usual surf/beachwear brands represented here, although I came specifically looking for HIC gear. The latest HIC-brand tee designs were on display on the wall behind the main counter as is the usual setup in HIC stores. There was also a rack of discounted, older-design tees, great for people like me looking for tees I missed when they were originally released. There were also plenty of boardshorts, separated out by sizes, although the selection of walkshorts didn’t seem to be as good. There were a number of walkshorts from other brands, but I couldn’t find any HIC walkshorts in the size I was looking for. Other HIC-brand merchandise I noticed included keychains, stickers, and other accessories like tumblers, etc… In the end, I ended up walking out a happy customer with 5HIC tees and an HIC keychain. STAFF: As others have mentioned in their tips/reviews, the staff here is very friendly and helpful. I happened to visit on a Thursday around noon, and was the only customer in the store at the time. Both ladies working in the store greeted me when I entered. One had to step out of the store for a few minutes, but Lehua, who remained in the store was very attentive(asking me if I was finding everything alright after I had spent a few minutes browsing on my own), and very patient(I asked to see several shirts which she had to climb up the ladder to see if they had each in my desired size/color, and she also had to look up the price of a keychain I wanted to buy). Lehua even gave some recommendations on some of the tee designs which I appreciated. EDIT: Actually, I don’t think it was Lehua that helped me; her name just appears on the receipt since she is the manager. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the one that actually helped me. I’m adding an additional star to my rating based on my experience with the staff here. LOCATION: This store is located in the southwest portion of the Kapolei Shopping Center area(anchored by Safeway), between H1 and Farrington Highway. It is in one of the stand-alone buildings within the parking lot(not the long chain of buildings running along the outer edge of the shopping center) near the Koa Pancake House. For more information, you can look at the info for the store on the HIC website: PRICE: I spent about $ 81 for 5HIC tees and an HIC keychain, a good deal due to a store promotion as well as discounts. One of the current promotions is «Buy one HIC tee and get another at 50% off», so I paid $ 20 each for 2 tees, and $ 10 each for 2 other tees. The 5th tee from the discount rack was $ 11.99, and the keychain was $ 5.50(same price if you order it online). So with the promotions and discounts, I saved about $ 28.

EXTREME like on this location. We don’t get out to Kapolei much(being that the second city is not quite yet a city), but we like to browse around when we do make the drive. We saw this store when we were waiting for our food, and decided to pop in. The bf was looking for a skateboard and doesn’t have a clue on what to look for. The guy that was working there was super knowledgeable and helpful. So much so, that the bf ended up walking(or skating) out of there with a brand new $ 180 board. The sales guy listened to what the bf was looking for, explained board shapes and trucks and everything, and make excellent recommendations. The store was easy to shop through, neat and tidy. Amazing how great customer service can turn a quick browse into a $ 180 sale. Thank you HIC Kapolei! We’ll be back when we’re around your side!
