Though this golf course is in good playing condition, that is about all the positives I can report. I knew I was in trouble when completing the first hole took 35 minutes. The course actively buses in foreign golfers and piles them in until they are literally on top of one another. While on the fourth tee box there were literally THREE foursomes out in front on the same hole. I have NEVER seen this before and I am a avid golfer. I called the golf club to report the situation and they couldn’t have been less interested in helping. It got so bad, after completing 11HOLESIN4HOURS we had to call it a day. I thought the golf club may be interested in knowing the situation, yet once again they couldn’t have been less helpful and frankly just rude. They insisted I was on pace for a four and a half hour round of golf which was impossible. Combine this with the $ 185 dollar cost, you are better off any where but here. I advise you to save your money and golf at a course that not only is in good shape but has reasonable pace of play. DONOTGOLFHERE!

I have really nothing bad to say about this Golf Course. This place is 5 Star awesome. The course itself is well taken cared of, and the view you get from the Makakilo Mountains is also beautiful. Holidays and weekend prices are $ 60 for kamaina, and a bit price for tourist. I love this course because it is close to my home, and is very accessible for me. They also have a restaurant located in their club house that you can order from, and also dine in. The restaurant is beautiful, with high tall glass windows that gives you a panoramic view on the golf course. Food is upscale local favorites. Casual dining and an awesome place to have luncheons and even a celebrate a special occasion. I’m not to sure on how their banquet menus arw, but I’m pretty sure it just as good as their restaurant food. Tons of parking available here, as well as a roving security guard to make sure your vehicle and valuables arw secured. I love that their driving range closes at 9 pm, and how spacious their tee boxes are. When coming here to hit some balls on the driving range, or to play a round with your buddies, they require you to wear a collard shirt, and soft spike golf shoes as one of their policies. Overall, I’ve been coming here for about 15 years with my dad, and now I will continue to come here with my kids and create more lasting memories for our golf loving family. Mahalo KGC for having an awesome facility for all to enjoy.

This golf course is very well maintenanced. Very pretty but watch out for the guy at the golf club, he is a jerk and totally ruined my day. Our tee up time was 7:30 but snack bar wasn’t open until 8:00am. For such a beautiful facility, I was disappointed that all the service wasn’t available. I guess people works there are part timer with minimum wage and don’t have an aloha hospitality at all.

Love the driving range. I’m there all the time. Friendly staff, balls with dimples, and nice mats. Would be nice to hit off grass but I understand.

Very rude pro shop attendant. All we were doing is trying to pay for three people(one wasn’t there and in the restroom) and she demanded to see a third ID, which is fine, but the way she acted was ridiculous. We left immediately due to her attitude and played Ewa Beach down the road(much better).

New owners took over a month or so ago and things have definitely changed. I understand implementing a dress code for the driving range and increasing prices(for smaller buckets and overall round play) to attract and retain a certain kind of customer, but you better up the level of customer service as well. That is where this establishment falls short. My family and I would frequent the driving range almost daily over the last few months and now come by every so often. Yes the conditions on the course and range may have improved, but that’s not enough to keep me paying more money for less. They also are very inconsistent with rules. On multiple occasions I’ve seen patrons without a collared shirt or shoes hitting balls at the range. I’ve even experienced an Assistant threaten to kick us out for having a lunch bag with two bottles of water in it after being told on a previous visit that bottles of water were okay to bring in. This evening the range attendant started shutting off lights and closing up shop exactly at 8pm. I understand that it’s time, but for the country club like prices and amount of new regulations at least let the two people who have a few balls left finish without hurrying them out. Definitely not coming here as often anymore.

A small bucket of balls is $ 3. We were told if your not local its $ 6. We later found out that a small bucket of balls is $ 3 and a large is $ 6. The cashier is up charging non-local residents on the cost of balls. There is no difference in cost if your local or not. It is not okay to change your price based off how you look. It’s called discrimination!!! Dress Code!?! Our first visit, the staff told the men that there was a dress code and they were suppose to wear collar shirts for the driving range. The second/last visit we later found out from the manager that you do not need to wear a collared shirt at the driving range. Two separate occasions we were told different information. I feel discriminated against based off my husband’s skin color. The price and information/rules should not have changed based off a person’s skin color. The cashier working on 07÷21÷15 at 1pm needs to be retrained on customer service, rules and information regarding the golf course and the prices. I applaud the manager on duty for making the situation better but the reality is all staff needs to be retrained, treat customers better and give quality and accurate information.

Stop one of our Golf tour. Played the course two years ago and could not pass up a great twilight deal, $ 76 for a Sat. 1:55pm tee time, booked thru Golfnow. The course was in great shape and pace of play was good, 4 hr. Round. The rough wasn’t as treacherous as the last time I played the course, but you can easily drop a shot or two if your not careful. Warning very windy in the afternoon.

This is just a friendly suggestion. It would be nice to be able to find information about your driving range like hours and dress code policy. I wanted to get some practice in tonight and couldn’t find the operating hours anywhere so I called the golf course in the morning to inquire. I was told the range was open until 9pm and later found out that it is actually 9:30pm. Upon arrival I was informed that there is a strict dress code(ie: collared shirts, slacks, skirts, etc) It would have been nice to know that before hand. I think this would be helpful to many others who would like to practice at your facility. Thanks

Their banquet facilities people have no clue. They promised us a date, then gave it away to someone else, then had the nerve to ask US if we wanted a different date. The right thing to do would have been to cancel the other person’s event because we were there first. «We forgot. Sorry.» Also, I have never had a banquet place charge us per napkin and tablecloth. I have been organizing banquets for my organization for sixteen years. Their service is the absolute worst. I will take my thousands of dollars per year elsewhere, even if it means traveling farther away.

Thank you Kapolei Golf Club for accommodating us during the hurricane for my baby first birthday. In the beginning they were difficult to get a hold of, but when I finally got a hold of someone everything worked out. Leeann was very helpful in the planing process. She help finalize my party with the food, table cloth/napkin and table arrangements. They also were very accommodating with my guest. — Price is very reasonable for buffet and drinks. They have many menu and entrée to choose from and tasted good(will update later on the food selection we chose) — Venue is beautiful even though it was a rainy day. Thank god no hurricane. They were able to accommodate 100 guest. Plus it’s near my home so did not have to travel far

Don’t forget your collar shirt and Bermuda shorts if you think you’re gonna hit some balls on the driving range.

The course is beautiful but the management does not know how to marshal the course. Over 5 hours is ok with them as long as they«keep close to a 4.5 hour pace. Well I was in a group waiting 5 or more minutes on almost every hole and the marshal would do nothing cause they were«on pace» and pro shop mgr agreed. It took us over 5 hours to complete the round. Our club of 25 to 30 players refuse to play there anymore, and in fact just last month we had an outing scheduled there and it was canceled cause nobody would play, not to mention they have raised there fee to a ridiculous $ 85. Here is a statement from the USGA supported by HSGA: «WHOLEWE’REYOUNG» Translation: Hurry up! Don’t hold up groups playing behind you! Stay behind the group in front of you not more than a hole down. You don’t have to run but be ready when it’s your turn. The USGA has launched an initiative to improve pace of play for everyone and supports the following: Improve pace of play at golf facilities nationwide… Develop best practices for golf facilities to improve their pace of play… enhance/teach player awareness of causes and solutions of slow play… encourage ways to play faster… Apparently«Kapolei Golf Course» does not agree??? Hopefully those reading this will. Thanks

Beautiful course. The fairways and greens were well maintained. However, I was slightly disappointed in the views. Pretty much all around you are homes. For the price you’re paying, I was expecting a little more. Other than that, the pro shop staffs were very friendly. The staff giving you your golf cart were also very nice. The driving range is well kept. There’s a chipping area, putting area, and a small bunker to practice your sand game. I believe on Wednesdays you can also hit off the grass instead of the mat. Boyfriend and I prefer to come here to practice.

Kapolei golf course has everything you’d expect from a resort type links and provides a very nice dining area for large gatherings and events. The price you pay is comparable to what you’d pay at most of the local resort golf courses, but considering the well kept fairways(which is like a grass carpet), the excellent greens, the beautiful water features and GPS equipped golf carts you know you’re getting your money’s worth. The course plays sort of easy for the average golfer with water being the primary hazard that comes into play at a lot of the holes. This links is always fun to play especially from the blue tees. The golf course also has a very nice practice area with a driving range, putting green, chipping area and even a sand bunker to sharpen your«beach» shots. The practice area also has two covered lanais where you can kick back and enjoy a snack or beverage as you work hard improving your game or just chatting with your buddies. It’s also nice to know the restrooms are near by and you won’t need a key. The club house and dining area is a beautiful facility with lots of seating inside and out. The views you get from the dining area over looks some water features and the plush golf course and makes for a relaxing 19th hole regardless of what your score may be. The staff here always very friendly and helpful. The course staff really has a handle on managing large events and golf tournaments as I have observed participating in several charity golf tournaments here. I always enjoy playing here when ever I have the opportunity.

Been here a few times, most recently last Monday for the Hawaii Culinary Golf tournament. Despite the far drive it’s a beautiful course. Like most of the Ewa /West Oahu courses, can be quite challenging with the thicker roughs, tricky greens and strategically placed water hazards. The layout of the course plays well for big hitters and not so well for erratic or short ones. The foliage as well as the fairway and greens are well maintained. The course also has a driving range that you can take advantage of in the evening as well as a beautiful dining room that overlooks the entire course. I hear they also host private parties as well as taking the occasional customers who just go there to eat and not play golf(at all). The actual clubhouse looks more like a glass house or museum giving the course another touch of elegance. The staff is very helpful. There’s a bag drop with associates who will load your cart. From time-to-time there is also a golf cart going around the parking lot to give you a lift to the clubhouse or vice versa. Highly recommend taking a trip here. Bit on the pricier side for a greens fee but you’ll be satisfied parting ways with your money after you reach the«19th hole.»

One of the best courses on Oahu. With green fees at $ 75, you would expect an elite course, an elite course it is, indeed. The driving range is great. The stalls are wide which benefits left handers like myself. Most other ranges such as Ala Wai or Newtown, I would fear clashing drivers with an adjacent right-hander. I am still on alert when practicing with my driver, but the greater width of the stalls gives me an additional cushion. On the far right of the range, is a pitching green where I can work on my pitching game… The putting green is vast! It can field more golfers who want to practice and adjust to the speed of the greens – Waikele’s, by comparison, is small and can get a bit crowded… Overall the facilities are fantastic, you can shower here after your round – with towel, soap, and shampoo provided. The staff provides you with a cold towel after you round, wipes down your club heads, and gives you a lift to your car. The carts are good – but not as good as Waikele’s(with its club cleaner and cooler). The cart’s GPS measures to the pin which is more accurate than my iphone’s GPS Shot app which measures to the center of the green… The playing surface is near flawless. I marveled at the quality of the greens and the fairways. Olomana by contrast has many dirt/dead spots on its fairways – not so with Kapolei GC. The course overall is challenging. The fairways can be narrow off the tee with bunkers placed on both sides or with water. The roughs are abound with hills. If you aren’t on the fairway, you may have to deal with all sorts of inclinations on your 2nd shot. The greens are small! You won’t have to be as precise as at Barber’s Point, but you have a small target to aim for with greenside bunkers on both sides. Not as many trees as New Ewa though(which for me is a hard course). The only chink in the armor? The clubhouse food wasn’t satisfying. Summarizing… Great well-maintained course, practice facilities are top notch, good carts, and convenient shower facilities. I love Kapolei GC. I am having a hard time choosing between Kapolei and Ko Olina as my favorite Oahu course…

WoW… I have been to a few golf courses lately, but I really liked this one! They really take care of their course… and they even have GPS on their carts. If they added a cooler with ice, it would be 5 stars! The staff are friendly and helpful too! Oh and of course, they have yummy egg salad sandwich and tuna sandwich!
