Recommended: –REDDRAGONROLL. Spicy chili, shrimp tempura –KINGKONGROLL. Shrimp Tempura, crab –CHIRASHI. Tako, hamachi, tamago, ahi, salmon, ocean salad, ikura, white tuna, etc on bed of rice. Pretty $$$ here but worth it because the fish is fresh, food is damn beautiful, and delicious! Booths fit 4 people and then there’s counter space as well. Parking is crappy. Really tight but there’s lots of stalls around.

My other half & I came to visit this place on Monday at 3pm for our first time. We had an awesome experience. It wasn’t busy at the time we came in so we got seated in a booth quickly. They didn’t have belt running at that time because at certain they don’t do belt selections. We ordered the volcano roll(my favorite) which was a California roll with baked scallop I believe in top. So good! We also ordered the philly & King Kong! They were both good as well. We ate a baked mussel and chawan mushi. You can definitely taste the quality of fish in their sushi. Such an awesome first experience! Will be back for more.

Absolutely love this place. Clean and have several options most other sushi places I’ve been to don’t have. If you don’t see what you want just order it!

Kazoku Sushi.(4 stars) First off, I’m really not a fan of fast food sushi(aka Kuru Kuru or Genki or Ninja Sushi)… If I am absolutely starving I may eat there but I never enjoy it! Kazoku is probably the only fast food sushi I would say is GOOD! People complain about the price and portions but QUALITYCOSTSMORE! The quality of fish and seafood that Kazoku serves isn’t «Top Notch» but it is definitely sushi grade. The ahi here isn’t stringy and mealy and mushy like Kuru Kuru or Genki! My all time favorite is the Red Dragon Roll. It does pack a spicy punch but the ahi melts in your mouth! The shrimp tempura(although a little soggy) does give the dish a nice difference in textures! I usually order the Regular AYCE($ 34.99) because the price is so worth it! Otherwise a Red Dragon Roll will cost you $ 12 and all you get is one roll! AYCE rolls can be ordered as «3 piece rolls» or «8 piece rolls»… I usually order the«3 piece» size for the rolls I just want to try but I definitely order the 2 of the«8 piece» size Red Dragon Roll! Good thing the BF really likes the Red Dragon Roll too! To be fair I have been here a few times(after the AYCE price was raised to $ 34.99 and $ 47.99) and the quality of their seafood, at times, was mediocre at best! But the sushi chef gave us a little extra to at least attempt to compensate for that day’s mediocre fish quality. Fried items are the same at any fast food sushi establishment but I still order it because I love fried foods! The biggest difference in price between the Regular AYCE and the Premium is the fried items and better fish selection that come with the Premium AYCE. If you really enjoy tonkatsu and chicken katsu or you can eat your weight in Hamachi than you may want to order the premium but I want sushi! So I just order the Regular AYCE! AYCE is only available Sundays thru Thursdays! Read the fine print on the AYCE menu! DONOTSHAREAYCEITEMSWITHPEOPLEWHOHAVEN’T ORDEREDAYCE! The menu clearly states ALLPEOPLEINYOURPARTYMUSTORDERTHESAMEAYCE(i.e. ALLREGULARORALLPREMIUM)… Yes it’s best to go with people who can eat a lot! Parking is always hit or miss! Kazoku is located right next to Navy FCU in Kapolei. Mondays are Military discount day!(20% off!!) All in all, Kazoku is the only place I enjoy eating sushi on the Westside. Is it as good as the sushi bars in town!!! Of course not! But for the Westside it is the best they got!

BYOB first off. I didn’t know this because sushi n beer go great together. Fish was very fresh. You have to wait a bit for your choices because it seems like the chef puts up 3(tree) plates at a time. Kind of a small place so it gets busy. I’d definitely return.

I wish this place wasn’t so far away or we would visit once a week! Sushi-Go-Rounds seem extremely popular around here based on the quantity of Genki Sushi’s all over the island. Genki has worn out it’s welcome and nearly ruined the«Sushi-Go-Round» conveyor belt fun, until… We discovered Kazoku. We loved this place. It was a step-above the rest of the conveyor sushi chains here in island. Do yourself a favor and order the«Baconator». They do have an All-You-Can-Eat menu which I’ve tried once out of the three times I’ve visited this location. For the first option, if it’s on the conveyor, you can eat it. You can also order as much as you want but you have to eat what you order or you’ll be charged an additional fee for too much wasted food. That’s not a problem considering how delicious each bite is! Also, there are 2 different price options with the more expensive providing the opportunity to have various nigiri and special rolls that aren’t on the conveyor. Note– as with many place on island, they only serve single-serve soft drinks and are charged individually.

I don’t like Genki Sushi. I can’t do fast food sushi. This place always uses fresh fish, they’re prompt and professional. They have the option of eating from the sushi belt during certain times, and no matter how many times I order my maguro nigiri from here it is always bright red and firm. They also offer higher end items such as Chutoro, and I have never been disappointed by anything I have ordered from Kazoku. If you’re willing to spend a little extra for better quality sushi, this is the place for you.

A nice cozy & comfy restaurant with friendly staff. Very wide selection of menu items to choose from, plus a carousel of premade items. Quality & freshness was of good precision to its customers flow. From entering, eating, to leaving this establishment you will say it was a good choice.

It’s either here or sushi bay or thai Lao when we’re in the area. parking is always easy and you always get greeting when you enter the dragon. we always get the all you can eat but prices has gone up and they limit you on the premium fish(Hamachi etc.).make sure you go with and empty stomach like you just came from Africa bambata so you get your money’s worth. desert is good too but also they have an hour limit and boss man owner gives you the eye when your hour is over but just wink at him and it’ll be all g.

I was craving sushi and decided to check this place out since it’s near my work. I think it’s best to go with few ppl so you can try out variety of sushi and appetizers. They have udon and teishoku meals here as well as sushi on conveyor belt or you can put in an order and they make it fresh for you. I tried the Karaage chicken, Volcano roll, Spicy Tiger roll, Agedashi tofu and miso soup. Their rolls come in small or large sizes. The small is 3 pieces of sushi. Service is great here and this place I gotta say is not bad!

We came here on the suggestion of Unilocal… and because it seemed to have so many good reviews. But we definitely walked in at an off time and that was probably not smart. The thing is, I understand when there are lulls, and if so, you should remove food until folks show up again. We entered the restaurant around 3pm on a Sunday. The conveyor was going and you could see food on it. Suspect. How long has the food been there? How long was it allowed to sit at room temperature? When did the lunch rush end?!? These were the first questions that popped into my head. Still, I really wanted sushi and I was dying for something different so we forged ahead. First thing my husband does is grab the chicken wings… which I KNEW was going to be cold. «It’s cold!» he gasps. «Yeah I figured, «I reply surly.(We’re definitely not starting off this meal well.) Ask them to warm it up, I suggest. He does and they do… in the microwave, which we can hear«ding» as the timer goes off. I hang my head in disappointment, but pretend to not notice. After all, it was«MY» suggestion that got us here, again. Figuring other stuff might not be fresh I start ordering a few things off the menu. Soft shell crab please, and spicy tuna roll. The spicy tuna roll… well… I dunno, the fish, where was it kept cuz it didn’t seem even chilled… The soft shell crab… OH! It’s literally just soft shell crab. DUHHH My fault, I thought i was ordering a roll… but whatever… still looked a tad greasy… I figure go for broke and start grabbing a few things off the conveyor belt. Hrmm, I dunno how fresh this is, but I guess we’ll find out. I pull off the covered plastic dome… what do they think this is going to do? Its not refrigeration… ugh… Lets just make this a short story, shall we? The service was nice enough, there was another table that finally came in and they made a few other things, but all in all I would not go back for sushi here. The lack of chill factor in the sushi made it so that I didn’t feel confident eating here. Lo and behold… both of us got mildly sick that evening… thank goodness no hospital run. I guess I should have just turned around and gone somewhere else. My suggestion is to go when its busy, you’ll wait but at least you’ll be guaranteed its freshness…

Killer eats — get the butterfish, sweet shrimp, hamachi sashimi, and I was lucky to come on night they had ankimo special. Tuna Sakura roll is fantastic– looks like two separate item but when eat together tastes like spicy tuna! On top of it all is bring your own. Came back a few days later and was just fantastic. High end sushi restaurant quality fish for great price. Don’t be fraud to order pieces or ask chef for suggestions — everything we tried was great. Had hamachi and Maguro sashimi on 2nd night and was off the charts. If you are visiting ko Olina you need to go here!

I am so in love with this place and it is officially my go to place in Hawaii! Kapolei to be exact! i mean how awesome that the sushi comes off the conveyor belt! It’s super fresh !! If there is something you want they have a full service sushi menu:) The staff is very friendly and attentive I had a fanatic visit the two times I went and it’s pretty cool lets say you have a budget of 15bucks each plate is marked with a color and that’s all you pay plus tip of course so you can stop yourself at any minute :)

I made a huge mistake thinking that I could trust any sushi restaurant would be good here. I mean, you’ve got fresh fish right next to your restaurant. How could you possibly mess up a meal? The first roll ordered was the«King Kong» roll, and I don’t typically venture outside of simple sushi with just one beautiful slice of fish on a neatly rolled bed of rice. Luckily, this roll was decent. So I didn’t think the rest of the meal would be that bad. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The yellow tail was not fresh and did not melt in your mouth like it usually does. A clean, simple fish like this just tasted awful. Finally, we ordered a bento box with butterfish, which costs a bit more. Thinking one surely couldn’t mess this up was a big mistake on my part. It happened to be the saltiest piece of anything I’ve ever had. Normally in a miso glaze? It’s pretty difficult to over season no matter how hard you try. Why anyone would think about putting EXTRA salt into the marinade is just baffling to me. It was completely inedible after just two bites. Be warned. Standards of quality are lower here and it’s probably my own fault for trusting a sushi restaurant outside of the millions of great ones in LA. Kazoku is a huge disappointment.
