Babies R Us

Nothing in BRU is straight forward, you have to ask about every tiny detail or you get surprised. My wife and I wanted to furnish a room for our baby, we budgeted good amount and wanted to get good furniture, so we planned to buy when there is a discount.
We agreed on convertable crib and what comes with it.
We bought the furniture then decided to get the accessories like the conversion kit, guard, etc. they told us no discount on those items.
Online they have free shipping for any item for $ 299 or more, but that doesn’t include furniture.
When I told the guy at the desk about the online deal, his answer was «Do you want to cancel the order» no I either pay shipping or cancel and go to buybuybaby, the problem is I have to wait again to get the baby room furniture.
I should’ve went to buybuybaby to start with, I regret buying large items from BRU.

Registry employees were helpful, however, cash register employees are non-​existant and rarely at a register when you are looking to check out. You have to find someone to check out. There were two employees sitting in the registry desk, but none on register. Odd! This location doesn’t appear smaller, however, has way less product in stock, and fewer choices than the other locations. Serves it’s purpose, but just not worth it.

This place sucks. Shelves are almost always disorganized. 2 – 3 registers working max. Employees are probably underpaid so they have an attitude or don’t help willingly. The only reason I come here is because I have a baby and some things wal mart and target just don’t have a large enough of a selection for. If you can avoid this place.

I bought a personalized gift card at Toys R US for my son as part of Santa… since he wanted to go buy some Skylanders himself, well today when we are about to pay at the register… they tell my son the balance is $ 0…long story short is that: Someone stole the info probably of their systems and used my sons card in LA on ¹²⁄₂₄ @ 8 pm!!! Way to go Toys R US… your ruined Xmas for my son!!! And I had to spend 1 hr on the phone to have someone fill out an investigation form and I still have to wait 3 days for someone to call me! My son couldn’t use his gc and I had to purchase the toys with my credit card… because I could not bare the dissapointment face my son had. I will never purchase from you since this is not the first time I have issues with Babies R US or Toys R US. As they have send wrong and duplicated items in other orders and then used the excuse that because I paid with paypal they can’t refund… or delivered baby shower presents at my doorstep without a box or a packing slip and the box got damaged due to rain. And don’t even start me on the poor customer service they have at 1800 or even at the Katy Fwy location. I pledge to NEVER ever purchase at toys R US online or at any store!!! The worst retail experiences have been with them.

I love this store! I think we got just about everything we needed here for our daughter before she was born and still shop here for her. It’s always fully stocked with new merchandise as well as lots of clearance items! I can be here for 2 hours easily and maybe still not see everything! This is just babies r us and not toys r us so you won’t find toys at this location. The bunker hill location is great for toys but not clothes! They’re never fully stocked just FYI. I also love that the plaza has a Party City and Ross. I highly recommend this store for all of your baby needs!

Explain to me again how a guy is the Duke of this place. Well I’ll tell you exactly how… we have been to this place so many times during my wife and I’s pregnancy that we should own stock in babies R us.
This place has it all in as many people know is an offshoot of Toys «R» Us. They have a really great return plan which I’ve utilized more times than I can remember and have long hours. They have all of the staples any soon-​to-​be parent would need and also have a gift registry so you can let that special someone know the right thing to get for your kiddos when they arrive while you’re focused on getting those diapers change mom. The staff is usually very helpful and consist of mostly 18 – 24 year olds. The store is usually always clean and you don’t see too many screaming babies here but you definitely see a lot of swollen bellies here getting ready for the arrival of their bundle of joy.

Wonderful store! The size of the store seems to be relatively larger than most Babies R Us we have been to.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. During one visit, a nice gentleman spent about 20 minutes showing us the different strollers and explaining how they differ. He was very patient and knowledgeable. On another visit, another gentleman helped me load a new crib we bought. However, it was just slightly too wide for my car, so he helped me opened the box and slowly load each part. I offered him a tip but he said they can’t take it. On a more recent visit, we made a purchase and the checkout clerk was very friendly, smiled the whole time and was efficient as well.
I highly recommend this location.

Typical babies r us location in the store part, but the nursing/​changing area is disgusting. It smelled heavily of cleaning chemicals yet everything seemed really dirty. There was an old, gross couch in there to nurse on. This is such a disservice for moms with young babies.

This was the third time I’ve been here and although the selection is pretty good, sometimes the service can be pretty bad. They were low on staff this trip and it seems the few they are here some are either new or a little clueless. Not a great experience especially since all we had to do was just pick up something that arrived. It was also pretty apparent that one of the employees here was being a little rude to her superiors, which really looked unprofessional. Giving it 3 stars cause although the experience was pretty bad, the store’s selection is great. Hopefully in time the staff situation can get worked out and we could add another star to this review or the next.

Great little store, can be nice that there is not an adjoining Toys R Us to it. This can be great when it comes to Black Friday especially… although I shouldn’t be sharing my secrets!
One thing to keep in mind… take a look at how much things are online and compare them to in the store… we just bought a play gym that was being sold in the store for $ 59.00 and was sold online for $ 53.00– the very same item at the very same store. When I showed the manager, she adjusted the price to match the one online, and we were able to use a coupon to the additional discounted price.
Always ask for the coupon booklet when you leave, sometimes they are stingy with them, but they always have good deals.

Really nice Babies R Us store. You’ll find clothing, toys, car seats, bathing supplies, safety products, strollers, diaper bags, diapers, formula, bottles, furniture, bedding, décor and more. I buy some clothing here, usually from the sale racks. Their prices on Carter’s clothing are typically the same as the prices at the Carter’s at Katy Mills. It’s the baby shoes and clothing sales that keep me coming back. The Koala brand is pretty good, better than what you’ll find at Target or Wal Mart. It’s not as good as Gymboree, but about the caliber of The Children’s Place.
Most of their baby equipment is priced higher than what you would find at Target, Wal Mart, or on
. Diapers and formula are also priced higher too, so I’d look elsewhere for those.
The one difficultly that I’ve had shopping here is that is that the sales associates are completely confused by percentage markdowns. You MUST tell them that something is on sale and by what percentage. They will usually call a manager for an explanation. If you don’t bring the sale price to their attention, you won’t get the discount, or you’ll have to stand in line to get a refund. Watch for the same issue at Toys R Us near Katy Mills.
