This place is awesome! I had the Cubano Sandwich here, it was so good! I had similar in Miami before and it tastes just as good here, very delicious and authentic. Employees are very friendly as well even though they speak little English.

Ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. The fries were the shoestring fries from a cylindrical can like the Pik-Nik brand. The sandwich was just some slices of cold lunchmeat, a slice of cold cheese, a couple of pickle slices, and yellow mustard on stale bread. If it had at least been warm, I might have given two stars. To get any more than that they are going to have to step up their ingredient game and maybe put some pork tenderloin on there with some sliced ham.

Food was OK I wasn’t impressed. For the type of food you end up getting its kina pricey. I will say service is great! The waitress was very helpful and sweet.

My husband and I moved to Houston from Miami recently and I had a craving for beans and rice. I am on bed rest so my husband went to get the food. He left Café Cuba empty handed because when he went in and tried to ask for food, the one server working there first ignored him, and then when he finally got her attention and asked for beans and rice, she gave him a very demeaning look and said«no ingles». In our time in Miami, which is notorious for having snooty spanish speakers, we were never treated this poorly for not speaking spanish. The server made no attempts to communicate with my husband. Very disappointed in the way this place treats potential customers. I can’t believe a restaurant located here would be able to survive on exclusively spanish-speaking customers.

Didn’t come here for the service, I came here for the food. So I ordered a Cuban sandwich to take home. It took about 30 minutes to get my sandwich. When I got home I was very disappointed to find a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich. I will never go back again.

We decided to try it out. I wanted the roast pork, they didn’t have it. I ordered the Ropa vieja. It was by far the best I’ve had. Hubby wants more veggie options but like I said, it is Cuban food, not many veggies. Take your appetite, huge plateful of food. We would like to see prices on the menu.

Very disappointed! Lady answering phone was not nice. Received flyer at home & decided to call. Flyer said delivery but after calling I was rudely told they are not delivering. So I asked what days & hours do they deliver. I was told only for parties and replied it doesn’t say catering on flyer. That’s false advertising & she said they don’t lie(OK). Then I asked what is the minimum for a party order? Silence on her end and I decided this person is not helpful at all. I explained to her very nicely I would be leaving a review about this conversation. I can not say anything about the food since I never tried it, but won’t be going due to bad service & false advertising. Sad because we love Cuban food & would enjoyed to have one closer. I’ve never written a review here & will do another to our favorite Cuban restaurant because they deserve to be known for great service & food. Thanks for your time.

I had read the good reviews and was excited to try it so we stopped by at 6 pm. Was told they had nothing from the menu except ropa vieja and one other dish. Sorely disappointed but went ahead and ordered some plátanos maduros while I went somewhere else to eat. More than $ 2.00 for 5 slices of platano. Such a disappointment.

Authentic Cuban food. Craving Cuban? Come here & it will not disappoint. The service leaves much to be desired, but the food makes up for it.

Seriously you call that a authentic cuban sandwich. you need to get out of Houston. I’ve had a real authentic cuban sandwich and that wasn’t even close. You should save your money and just go to your nearest deli and save a few bucks is about the same. I left very disappointed. Send Gordon Ramsey to save this place

Just had lunch here and it’s refreshing to see authentic cuisine in Cypress! Cuba love! It’s a small mom and pop shop and I really hope it thrives. I had half a Cuban sandwich and it was great, absolutely no complaints! I had half of the Media Noche sandwich and it was really good especially the flaky sweet bread they used. The Tostones left some to be desired, it was really dry and could’ve used a kick ass dipping sauce. To finish it off I had a Pastel puff pastry and it was really well made. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a legit slice of Cuba!

As an exception with the disappointing scenario of «Cuban Food» in Houston area, this little diamond of really good«Comida Cubana»! …(Do not miss the«Cuban-Italian» plates: specially the«Pizza de Chorizo» and«Spaghetti Napolitano» !)

The food here was excellent. I had a Cuban sandwich and my friend had the pork sandwich both were great. We also tried some of their deserts the pineapple desert is what I had.

Exactly what I craved, how lucky! Tostones are a must, and please tell me you’ve had them b4: plantains cut, fried and mashed together with a sprinkle of salt. Crunchy on the outside and mushy a bit in the middle, a savory snack that is killer here! Then a Cuban sandwich man. I wasn’t terribly impressed with it though, maybe bc the ones I had b4 were more gourmet but this was a real working class wich and maybe that’s more authentic anyway. It left me satisfied but not craving another, but I will try again, maybe just an off day. However the tostones are more than worth the trip for me. Loved the workers too, friendly and treated me like family! Will be back to try other stuff!
