This place is ridiculous. First of all, you order an overpriced dinner and they say it comes with soup, salad and vegetables. Well the soup bowl isn’t filled up all the way, the salad is some lettuce with nasty dressing on it and the vegetables are tiny and not tasty one bit. It is an overpriced ripoff. If it was better quality food, it would be worth it. Wouldn’t recommend even if they cook a meal in front of you. Also did I mention the staff has attitude?

This place is a hidden gem. Food was great as well as the service. We had a large party and they still took very good care of us. Will return again when in need of a good meal.

Don’t bother with this place. Closed on Mondays. I called Thursday tonight and they said 9:30pm is the last call for hibachi. I got there at 9:15pm and they refused me. Next.

Was skeptical about going after all the reviews I had read. I also like others, purchased a groupon. Upon arrival I was waiting and expecting everything that I had read on the reviews from being treated poorly because we were on a groupon, to not getting served enough portions. To my surprise it was the total opposite. The service was prompt and the waiters and waitresses were very pleasant and attentive, they never let our drinks go below half. They made sure we understood our groupon and which items we were able to order from. The hibachi chef was amazing, very entertaining and funny. Food portions were enough to be satisfied and not leaving hungry. Overall it was a great evening, i was celebrating my birthday with my husband and two teen boys who throughly enjoyed it as well. We were not treated any different from the others who were sitting with us who were paying full price… the only downer was the people who we sat with were a bit rude and seemed to be bored. Ignored the hibachi chef when he tried to talk to them.

Good service. The food was good as well but not wow. I’m surprised the fried rice was not salty like the other hibachi places. We had a groupon so wanted to try it out with friends. Probably won’t go back if there was not a discount.

Affordable, hibachi style. Resembles Benihana but on a budget :) reasonable wait times. Usually pretty fast, you could have other people at your table unless you ask for private seating. I love all the food especially their sushi! Staff is very nice too.

I went here last weekend for date night. It was my first time going. The hibachi chef we had was amazing and had a great personality. He was extremely hardworking and hilarious. The group of people we sat with were great as well. The atmosphere was nice also. It’s just like Benihana but the food here tastes better to me than there. I loved their soup. I would highly recommend coming here on a date night or just with my friends. I really enjoyed myself here and had a blast. Also the manager even walked around checking on every table. The other employees as well we’re always on their game and making sure each customer was satisfied.

This was a great outing for the kids. I did Groupon as well with$ 70 off the ticket and the bill was still$ 100. The chef was awesome! Service was very prompt and they were very courteous. I’m not sure how much other restaurants of this caliber costs, but a total of $ 160 is rather steep. Steak had a rather liverish taste but the chicken, veggies, shrimp and fried rice were awesome. They may consider remodeling some time soon. Place was kind of old. But other than that it gets 3 stars.

Average at best. Went on a Saturday night close to closing time. My wife had a Groupon so we checked it out. First, the cooking surface was not cleaned well. It was old rice from previous meals on it. The fried rice was trash. The steak & shrimp were decent. They added their 15% tip into the bill, which was fine by me because I normally do 20% anyway. They didn’t want to accept the Groupon because we didn’t order adults meals for our children. My wife loves hibachi but hopefully not this place so I won’t have to go back. Every hibachi place I’ve been to back home in NC was better hands down.

Let me start off by saying if I have ever been EXTREMELYINSULTED at a restaurant before, to the extent this place did. First, of all let me start by saying that this, this place had been referred by a friend to go eat, so because I had 2 birthdays and a huge family of 7, I said why not. She told me they had a groupon deal, as well. Normally, we have gone to Hibachi down the street and Benihana where we have received great service and food every time we go. Knowing that I have a big family, I know I will pay a hefty penny, which doesn’t phase me. Second, the atmosphere there was gloomy and the people working there, looked as though they rather be some where else. We are sitting at our table for about a couple minutes and instead of being greeted by the waiter, «good evening, My name is Vuong,», the first thing to come out of his mouth is «what do you want to drink, are you ready to order?» When I asked him for his name,(HIS words exactly) «I didn’t tell you my name because you wouldn’t be able to pronounce it». I could not believe it!!! I told him I still wanted to know, so that’s when he told me, his name was Vuong. THIRD, what really did it for me was that at the beginning I had told the waiter, that we were there celebrating 2 birthdays, typically after eating at other restaurants they give a free dessert or the staff will come over and sing, «Happy birthday». OHNOT here, I received the bill, and I looked at the waiter and said what about the birthdays, I have? He goes to the back and brings A SLICEOFPINEAPPLE, mind you had I had 2 birthdays with 2 candles on it. I looked at it in dismay, and asked what about for the other person, the lady looked at me and said it’s for both. Each person was shooting on opposite ends. How I wish at this moment I would of taken a picture of it to show you all. TALK about icing on the CAKE, which a table behind us received for their birthday celebration with a bowl of some kind of dessert. Makes me wonder, if the reason we were treated this way was because we are off colored skin and they weren’t. My first impressions of this restaurant have gone DOWN the drain, I will NEVER be returning to an unwelcoming place, now I see why there were only 6 cars in their parking lot at the dinner hour. If you are looking for a good place to eat, AVOIDTHISONE.

Very Average: Had been looking for a good hibachi place in Houston and ended up here. We went there by 8:30 on a Saturday and got the table without issues. From here, it looked like they were in a hurry to close the restaurant. The hibachi chef cooked for 4 of us in less than 10 mins and you could make out from the taste, it was among the below average hibachi I have ever had. Too add to this, the cleaning guy comes and pours soap water on the grill when we still eating… ridiculous! Definitely not going back.

Do not go for the ambiance. This is a neighborhood hole in the wall. Go bc its the best damn hibachi food you’ll ever have! There is something different about their garlic butter. Its the best!

We were looking for somewhere not crammed on New Year’s Eve. Low quality, high price, dirty, outdated and not cozy. The presentation was lacking and the food was terrible. I asked for a lemon and they were so confused. They brought out a bowl of limes though. Definitely won’t ever go back.

So, this place is def not Benihana, but the food is pretty much the same and then staff are great! We went there on a groupon and really enjoyed ourselves… the kiddos loved it! Our chef was awesome. It does get pretty hot in there and the décor/building does need some work, but all in all, it was a good experience.

Delicious, affordable hibachi-style food. If you have ever been to Benihana, you know you can drop a bunch of money on a meal. KSH is a smaller, cheaper version of Benihana. First of all, let’s get the tips out of the way. Get the Groupon and arrive early. KSH gets really busy and the dining area is not very big. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and were ok getting a table. I would not recommend arriving much later than this or you may have to wait in line. The Groupon deals are really good. On our last visit, we were allowed to combine Groupons in our group of 6 and received $ 105 off the bill for a $ 63 Groupon purchase. I ordered the shrimp and scallops. It was excellent. Others in my party had chicken, steak and shrimp and were happy with their meals. Tasty salad and miso soup. Veggies were plentiful and delicious. A good, healthy meal. For drinks, I had a nice Sapporo beer and my daughter had one of the Japanese sodas that is sealed with a marble. The hibachi chefs were all good. I did notice that not all chefs were the same. Some were popping shrimp up in the air into diners’ mouths, but our chef didn’t do that. We did see the standard«egg tossing» tricks and the onion volcano. One thing I noticed on our last visit was that the restaurant was very hot inside. At one point, I went to the restroom to wash my face with a wet rag to cool off. I don’t recall KSH being like this on prior visits, so maybe the restaurant had an problem with their A/C. We did not order dessert, but instead went to nearby Ritters for frozen custard. There are at least three hibachi restaurants in the Katy area. We have been to Atami multiple times, but lately prefer going to KSH instead because of the great Groupon deals. Keep the deals coming and we will return!

I love Koby. Honestly, they really are not that expensive in comparison to other sushi/hibachi places in town. I find it a little unfair to compare them to Benihana’s when they are 2 completely separate styles. For the sushi bar, you can honestly go here with $ 30 and have that feed 2 people with drinks and an appetizer plus tip, easily. The hibachi is obviously more expensive, as is anywhere, because in a hibachi you are paying for the entertainment factor, not the value of the actual food. Not saying their hibachi is bad, because I love that also, but only sit in that section if I want to spend $ 45+ on 2 people. The service is great, everyone is very nice and attentive, the food is awesome, the service is great. NOTE** The tip is automatically added on for hibachi, I believe it is 7%. This is due to the fact that most people, unfortunately, don’t understand how to tip, ex. $ 3 on a ticket of $ 40 or more. Keep this in mind while ordering, as you should anywhere: D

I really wanted this place to move me but unfortunately it didn’t. We purchased a groupon for dinner and used it last night for a budget date night. Well, somehow it still ended up being expensive(might as well just went to Benihana’s) and the food was really lacking. Service was great and that’s what the two stars are for. We ordered the eggrolls and they tasted like they were frozen straight from Sam’s club(not even Costco’s yo) and so entrees. I won’t be back, not even with a $ 1 groupon. There’s a reason that these places are on these sites! Ugh, yet another westside dinner fail. To the east my brother, to the east…

Small place, maybe 7 hibachi tables = long wait. Owner kept walking around, picking up plates but never greeted, smiled or said a single word. Prices were reasonable, not jacked up like Benihana’s. Our chef, Mr Trung, was very friendly and funny. Overall, it was a casual, good dinner. 3.5 Stars!!!
