I have a havanese that is a year old. Groomer did not introduce herself or ask my pets name. I told her how I wanted him groomed and she shaved him and cut off part of his tail hair! Customer beware.

tl;dr: Save yourself some money and trust the reviewers who say the owner is a complete jerk and the service is terrible.
First off, I normally don’t put much stock in one star reviews. They usually smack of people thinking they’re entitled to the world. However, I can say this with confidence: if their experience was like mine, then every single one of these one-​star reviews for these groomers is well deserved.
They showed up an hour late. That’s ok, I say. The booking confirmation warns this might happen. The truck was malfunctioning. No worries, I say. Problems happen.
My dog wasn’t cleaned whatsoever. She also wasn’t dried. She is a bulldog with a tail pocket that I-​twice– specifically requested them to clean and dry. It wasn’t touched. The appointment was to last 45 minutes. My dog was in and out of their truck in about 20 minutes. Not nearly enough to get her clean. These are the reasons these frauds will never have the chance to steal another penny from me.
I was at work when all of this happened. I inspected my dog when I got home and found her every bit as dirty as when I left for work in the morning. I contacted the owner with my issues and requested a refund. He very smugly stated that he’s not going to be giving me a refund and that it’s my wife’s fault for not inspecting the dog closer before they left. Nevermind the fact that you can’t properly inspect a wet dog for cleanliness. He also welcomed me to give him a bad review. Can do, sunshine.
I was polite at the time, but I asked this piece of work how he can honestly sleep at night knowing he takes money from customers and refuses to give it back even when the service was:
1. Done so poorly as to not even be noticeable (the bath)
2. Not performed at all and lied about (the tail pocket)
3. Done in a very lazy, halfway measure (the drying)
His response was to hang up on me. I will absolutely never use this awful service again. Next time I want a wet, dirty dog in my house I’ll spray her with a garden hose. Same sort of results.

Didn’t even get to have my dog groomed and I never will. I wish I could give 0 stars.
I went to their website and booked an appointment. There were 3 time slots available with Brittni Godair. I chose a 3:15 then called because I wanted to double check which forms of payment they accepted. No answer, left a message. Got a call back from the owner who was calling to tell me they were busy and asked me to come at 5 instead. Then why were those time slots available? I let that go even though it gave me a bad impression and agreed to bring my dog at 5. I planned my day around my pet’s appointment being at 5pm.
At 3:30 I received a call from Brittni wondering why I wasn’t there. Automatic irritation on my end. She made it seem like it was my fault and asked if I could hurry up and get there. Seriously?!
I was on another side of town so I said no.
She hung up in irritation saying she would call «him» and «see where the confusion came in…»
4:00, no call back. So I called and she didn’t answer. I called the owner, no answer. I left a message asking about my appointment and have yet to hear back. I decided to take my business elsewhere and have already found a great, PROFESSIONAL groomer.
As a business owner myself, I find this lack of communication and professionalism inexcusable. They are Disorganized, bad business. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of reputable groomers in Katy.

I almost didn’t book with this company because of the reviews, but they had many available next-​day appointments, so I decided to give it a shot. I have a german shepherd, and with the bath and deshedding treatment the cost was $ 85. This seems high, but it is comparable to other mobile groomers. My groomer arrived within the time frame and called when he was close. I was a little concerned when he called because he was kind of harsh when explaining their hour time window (which surprised me because I wasn’t complaining, just wondering when he would get there), but once he arrived everything went really well. The groomer did a great job of being stern but not too harsh with my dog, who is a big idiot that barks at people when first meeting them and refuses to cooperate on the leash. He came to the door with a leash and whisked the dog away pretty quickly, which was great because it saved me a lot of awkward fretting about how ill behaved my animal is… The dog was returned about 45 minutes later, happy and smelling great. He was very clean and perfumed, and the deshed obviously got a LOT of hair off of him. His coat seemed very shiny and fresh, which was nice because the last mobile groomer I had used a «dry shampoo» that left powdery residue on my black pants whenever the dog would brush against me. The dog’s anal glands were expressed, and for that the groomer probably deserves a medal. Payment was easy and the price was as advertised online. I paid cash but can’t remember if they take credit card. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Didn’t even have a chance to get started. Was on my way to the store when I noticed a really nice mobile pet spa. I’ve never used a mobile pet spa and thought I would give the number on the side to find out more information. The owner answered the phone and went over pricing. I thought he had really good pricing at $ 39.00 monthly for fur, nails and ears upkeep. I was going to call back and make an appointment for at least a consult to see if my fur baby approved (25lb fox terrier). One hour later he sends me a text saying here’s a cheap option for you and took a pictures of a beaten up pet trailer. Shocked. Do not use these guys.

I used this service after seeing them at a nearby neighborhood. I will never use them again! They dumped hair clippings in my yard and drained their vehicles water tank in my driveway. They were 2 hours late and the cuts were the worst cut my dogs have ever received. They were just shaved and very unevenly shaved. I paid for grooming, I wanted grooming they do not know how to groom a dog. They only know how to shave a dog. My dogs hair will grow back and I will be going back to my regular groomer. Save your money and go to a real groomer. These people do not know what they are doing and they will treat your yard like it is a trash can

We’ve been taking advantage of pet box’s mobile services for about a few years now since we moved near the Katy-​Richmond area. I just saw one of their mobile grooming vehicles one day and I figured…“Why not”? We’ve been looking for a groomer for awhile and our dog was way overdue for one anyways so I called. I was expecting it to cost me more $$$ than what we were paying at the previous groomers, for the convenience factor, but it was actually less. They’ve always showed up w/​in 15 mins of the scheduled appt., never really took longer than an hour (unless our dog was extra dirty), and more than once I have called the owner for an emergency grooming and he had accommodated us the same day each time to which I was very grateful. I will definitely continue to take advantage of pet box’s mobile services.

I’ve used pet box a couple of times now and all times I was happy with our service. Particularly, this last time. I had to make an emergency appt the same day, and they were very accomidating. They showed up 30 min early and my maltipoo looked great. I would totally recommend Pet box. The owner Edward was very professional and replies back in a timely manner. Pet box is very convenient for a good price.

First time I used this service it was good. The last two times were just horrible. They quoted me one price but then when at my house the price went up $ 10 and they were 2hrs late. The last time they texted me to confirm our appointment but had us down for a time that was 1 hour later than what we had originally scheduled. I decided to continue anyway. Well they were 4hrs late from that time and cancelled on me!

Alex groomed my beautiful baby today… Fantastic!!!

I have used Pet Box Mobile Spa for years. The owner is very unprofessional, but we like their groomer, Alex. We had an appointment booked 2 weeks in advance for 9:30 AM with the thought that there could only be one appointment ahead. From previous appointments we knew that they sometimes arrive late, so we were looking to avoid that. They texted us the morning of the appointment and changed our appointment to be an hour and 15 minutes later without explaination. When I asked for one they cancelled my appointment abruptly and said they were removing us as a client for the future. I was not aggressive or unprofessional with them in my communication, so this was surprising to say the least, and left us in a bind.
If you are looking for a reliable even-​tempered company to work with, I would go elsewhere.

Used them today for the first time, I had Alex, he was great. My dog truly enjoyed her bath. They were a little late, but they did call to let me know. I am extremely happy with the service we received. I will be using them from now on, no more Petsmart. Thanks Alex for a wonderful experience, we’ll see you again soon.

I have used this company many, many times. The cuts aren’t up to par, they are consistently 1.5+ hours late and their customer service is awful. I continued to use them though because of the convenience. When I cancelled my appointment today because they were going to be 1.5 hours late again the owner called me. I told him I was tired of them being late every appointment and he had multiple excuses, including blaming me. He kept saying «good luck finding another groomer»…I eventually hung up on him and will never use them again!

The groomer showed up on time. Was very gentle with our tiny schnauzer puppy. All of my initial calls were answered by a person, I haven’t caught voicemail yet. Happy to recommend, and have had several friends say that they’ve also had a good experience when I mentioned using Petbox this weekend! We’ve set up a weekly recurring appointment — on SUNDAYS! Awesome.

Not good about answering the phone and very rude when they do!

Absolutely WONDERFUL experience! Leah and Ed were a great team. They came on Sunday. They called and or/​texted with updates on arrival.
I have a very long haired German Shepherd and they explained what they were going to do, also notified me immediately when they found a cut on her that was under her long coat that I as the owner didn’t even realize! They had medicine on their vehicle and treated it at no charge.
Van was very clean, organized and overall great experience!

Had a great experience! My dogs loved keith and we’re in and out quick. Now I’m not picky about my dogs hair I just want them to be able to breath during the summer. So if your looking for some expert cutter I wouldn’t think a pet mobile spa. The van was nice and clean so they must have heard their customers in the past. He was on time and professional. Will be a regular customer.

We have used them twice and both times were very pleased with the service. The groomer was polite on both occasions and was done with our dogs very quickly. Each appointment included a bath and cut.
The groomer was about 30 minutes late for the 2^nd appointment but it does say on the website that they could be up to an hour late. That’s better than the 4 hour window other companies tend to give.
We will be using them again.

They can NOT keep any appointments. The first time I used them they were 4 hours late. They did an average job with the grooming. I then called them a second time a few months later and scheduled again, because it is so convenient to have our dog bathed at home; they were an hour late. When I called them to find out when they would be arriving the person had never heard from the groomer and they could not keep their appointment. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
My mom had also scheduled an appointment with them for in the morning. They rescheduled her for the late afternoon, by 5pm they had not called and never showed. I understand it is a small business, but this is not how to keep customers.

Had a great first 2 appointments for my two dogs. They loved their groomer. Dogs had bath and cut. The owner stopped by and was very kind and concerned that the groomer did good job. Going for a third appointment tomorrow.
