The food at seafood on the Geaux is consistently good we’ve always been impressed with the fried shrimp po-boys and the gumbo and of course the crawfish. The food is very fast.

I am always excited to see the truck! The staff is friendly and the food is always piping hot! If you have a minute or two, try the crawfish poboy! The shrimp poboy is also super tasty! You will have a small wait for anything fried but it’s worth the time. The jambalaya, ètoufèe and other rice dishes are usually speedy, so if you want something quick, stick with those. The seasoning is spot on! I only wish there was some fresh iced tea to complete the perfect dish!

Used to be really awesome. Food is good but staff is below average. A bunch of teens who really don’t care. Everything else is good though.

If you’re looking for seafood that taste as close to New Orleans without being in New Orleans… look no further… Seafood on the Geaux has that heavy seasoned flavor that makes the foods in New Orleans so famous… plus unlike the restaurants around the Houston area… Seafood on the Geaux is not stingy with the shrimps on their po-boys…plus the French bread is just like the bread at home… crispy on the outside… but moist on the inside… I love the fact that their start up location is mainly a drive thru… but I really wish they would open a Deanies style restaurant one day… this place is legit… and I would recommend Seafood on the Geaux to anybody

The crawfish étouffée was the best I’ve had, granted I’ve only tried it a few times, it’s well worth the $ 14.

No need for a long drawn out review. I’ve been a fan of this place since I discovered them last year. I just wish they were a little closer to my home. The crawfish and the seafood combo(fish, shrimp, and fried oysters — OMG!!!) DeeeeLicious!

$ 40 in crawfish and completely unable to eat them. Completely over cooked! What a waste of money. The meat crumbles when we try to peel. Fortunately, we got shrimp and catfish, so we didn’t starve or have to go get more damn food. Ugh! Yes, I am angry. What cajun seafood place doesn’t know how long to boil crawfish? I mean really, how hard is it!!!

I came here on my lunch break. I was craving Raines and Canes bread. I looked this place up and found that they had bread similar to Raines and Canes and plus I wanted shrimp. So I went and ordered the fried shrimp meal. I waited for about 15 minutes to receive my meal but they did offer me a drink. I was really excited to try the shrimp, I couldn’t wait to get back to the office. I open the box up and popped a shrimp in my mouth. To my surprise the shrimp tasted fishy. It caught me off guard because I never had fishy shrimp before. I was like DAMN I just paid $ 9.55 for this meal; when I was suppose to be saving money!!! So the meal came with tauter sauce and I tried the shrimp with it. The shrimp was much better! Customer service was great! The rating is for the food.

I’m late with my review, I went there a few weeks ago, but I had to give kudos to this establishment. I ordered from here one Friday night and I called in my order early because they usually have a crowd. Well I got busy at work and ran late getting my food. When I came to pick it up the wonderful manager Alda said my food had sat too long and made me a fresh order! Sooo sweet of her! The fish and shrimp was seasoned perfectly and their signature tarter sauce is a perfect compliment. They also sell boiled crawfish, which I intend to try! I will definitely return!

I have been going here for over a year, they used to be the best crawfish you could buy. I just purchased 12 lbs, the first 6 lbs were over salted and way too much Cayenne. The second 6lbs were over cooked. Meat would not come out of the shell. There was little to any juice, appears they did not soak at all. The shells of the Crawfish were covered in seasoning. They used to put the seasoning in the water, it appears now they have adopted the technique of dusting the crawfish. Extremely disappointed, after over 20 visits we do not plan on going back

Been a couple times, food has been ok. Nothing special. Just ordered boiled shrimp over phone. Supposed to come with corn and potatoes. None included. Nor were any other sauces included with order that I paid for. Not even tater sauce for shrimp. Seafood dinner very skimpy. Be sure to check your food before you leave if ordering to «geaux».

Went today and received subpar service and the crawfish was the worst I’ve had in a long time. Ordered 4 pounds and got about 2.5 pounds of edible crawfish that were all over cooked and mushy while the rest of the bag were all dead straight tails or just too mangled to salvage any meat out of. Don’t come here for crawfish.

I’ve been craving for Gumbo and saw that this place had excellent reviews. I have been passing by this place for quite sometime now. But I must say for $ 7 Gumbo to not have seafood is pretty lame. The only option was chicken and sausage. I must say tho the roux was quite tasty with the Louisiana hot sauce. Overall this tasted good but the lack of material or ingredients bumps this down.

Service is horrible. Walked up to window and asked for boiled shrimp. They said it would be two hours!!! Two hours??? How does it take 2 hours to boil shrimp. Very limited seating … 3 tables, 9’total chairs for two 4-tops and one 2-top. We waited 35 min to get our order. A shrimp dinner, chicken strip dinner, shrimp po-boy, and an oyster dinner. Since there was no place to sit we took it to go. The oyster dinner had only 10 small oysters and the flavor was average. The chicken strips, according to my 11yo were slightly better than whataburger, the shrimp dinner was skimpy and the shrimp poboy was the only thing worth going back for. I don’t think we will return

Winner! Winner! Poboy Dinner! Tried this place based on the reviews and it did NOT disappoint. It is a hole in the wall type of place and difficult to spot if you don’t know what you’re looking for. The Poboys were large and packed with shrimp. I’m writing this review and I’m still full so that speaks volumes in my book. To round off the meal I had Banana Foster Bites, which took me back to a deep fried sweet item at the Rodeo or State Fair. Not bad. Great on value and flavor.

Every single time my husband and I drive by this place we say we want to try them out but just haven’t ever made it happen until Sunday afternoon. This is one of those places that you try and then realize that you’ve been missing out all along. It’s really, really good, y’all. We got there around early dinner time. There were a few people there waiting for food and a table of kids(I say kids but they were teenagers. Hello, 34 year old =/) eating at a table. This isn’t a restaurant that you go into. That sounds goofy. You walk up and order from a window. There are tables under an awning attached to the building and then there are covered tables in the parking lot. I ordered the fried shrimp dinner. Came with 6 or 8DELICIOUS fried jumbo shrimp. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Also came with fries and a piece of toast. My husband also ordered the fried shrimp dinner. He also tried to get a side of red beans and rice but they don’t sell that anymore. He also tried to order crawfish but they were out. So he went next door and got a steak finger basket from DQ to go with his shrimp, lol. So as I said the shrimp was GOOD. It took a really long time for our order to be made and brought out to us but that’s okay. I’ll chalk that up to them actually making the food when it is ordered. We took our food to go and ate when we got back to my parents’ house… which is about ten minutes away. Even though the meals came in Styrofoam containers the shrimp and fries weren’t soggy at all. The bread on the other hand didn’t fair to well. Oh we also got an order of banana foster bites. Y’all. So good. So all in all we were very happy with our experience. I think next time we pick up food to go from there we’ll call ahead to cut down on the wait time. It’s nice to have such good food as an option next to Long John Silver’s for fast food or having to dine in somewhere. The only negative thing I can say is that it sucks that there are dumpsters so close to this place. Since you are sitting outside waiting and/or eating you have to sit in stinky dumpster smell. It’s pretty strong. That would be the only reason we wouldn’t stay there and eat. Also, one of the young ladies who was running food out to customers needs to invest in some shorts that cover her ass. Seriously. It’s gross to see someone who handles food having to pull her shorts down to cover herself. Not really appropriate.
