Sonic

Well, I’ve been going to this sonic for as loooong as I can remember (I’m talking 10+ years) and as the saying goes, some things never change. Frequenting this fast food joint is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re gonna’ get. Sure, you’ll get your day goin’ with early happy hour slush prices, but be wary that the undertrained employee might get the flavor on that prematurely-​discounted slush wrong (as mine was today). What inspired this review was the fact that the mentioned employee X took five minutes to ring up my slush, repeated my order SIX times to ensure that I in fact ordered a blue coconut-​pineapple slush, and somehow, someway still managed to deliver the wrong flavor. My point is, it’s not her fault that this Sonic is notorious for poorly training their super sweet employees… but it’s one of the many anticipated yet random characteristics this location has. Slush on, slushers.

I have been eating on and off here for about 10 years now and there is one thing you can count on from this store, your order will NEVER be right. I gave a difficult order, two junior cheeseburgers KETCHUP ONLY!!! Well that proved to be to tough a task and I got mayo. This is the 3^rd time in 4 trips here my order was screwed up. I like the burgers at Sonic, their fries suck but they are one of the few fast food places that actually know how to cook bacon, but the staff here does not understand English and simply can’t take a special order. The dining room here is also ALWAYS warm and not particularly clean.

The absolute worse sonic to ever go to in the state of Texas!
They are extremely slow, unprofessional and half of the workers can’t even barely speak or comprehend English well. Also they always get orders wrong and they should hire more professional workers that provide quality food!!!

This location used to be better than the one on Fry but management must have changed because I did not order grease but it was the only thing I could taste. Then all this grease gave me heartburn. This Sonic has gone from great to trash. I will never be back and wouldn’t recommend anyone to be here.

This is a good location. Came by about 8:20pm and the place was fairly empty. Service was quick. Popcorn chicken… good stuff.

God this place is awful, even for fast food. The staff is rude, slow, and incompetent. The food is always nasty and tastes like its been sitting out all day. On average, it has taken about 10 minutes each time to get 1 drink (and this is when it’s slow!). And when I do order food, it is GROSS! Avoid this location!

Since I frequent this place, I have had the full gambit of service. From the really bad to the really impressive service, there truly isn’t much to say about this place that would differentiate them from another chain.
They are conveniently connected to a Shell gas station that gas is about 5 cent more than the surrounding pumps. They had to be chastised about fulfilling the Texans slush obligations last year because they got tired of the Texans winning, and having to provide slushes. They started to make up rules on the spot. Can only get them during happy hour. You have to purchase something. Enough complaints made them get their act together.
As aforementioned… nothing really awesome about this place. It is your run of the mill fast food chain.

Well it’s a sonic like all the rest. They have decent fast food and it’s not where I like to go on a regular basis, but every now and then you just make a decision to get some greasy meat and a shake. The lines are usually long and the service is kind of slow, but hey (but seriously if your going to clog your arteries you can wait an extra ten minutes). Not a bad place by any means.

Maybe management has changed and with it the attitude towards quality. It’s just been pretty hit or miss lately. If you thought cold fries were bad, try some tots that have been sitting under a heat lamp — you could use probably use them as ammo!
The special item listed on their sign? Don’t count on it being there. I don’t do a ton of fast food, so when I’m told this item is no longer offered and they were just too lazy to change the sign, I get a little «harumphed»!
So why still go here? Honestly it is the closest thing to the house when there’s nothing left in the fridge and we don’t feel like getting dressed. So yes, if you see me in the drive-​thru at this place, I’m most likely wearing some type of «pajama»!

Nice to have indoor seating & indoor service was quick and polite.
Prior to that, however, I tried the standard sonic drive up & park service. Waited a full 5 min without response to my flashing button… either it was broken or they are really slow, I don’t know… it sure lit up like it worked.
Then I went in to use the restroom — really gross & I’m from the oilfield so I’m not picky person on that stuff. We’re talking gross by backwoods men’s room gas station standards… pretty bad.
But…it was «Happy Hour» & they served me once I came inside… so I’ll give them a couple stars. Maybe I hit a bad day…

Well, there are a lot of burgers here — the basic Fat… um I mean Fast food ;) don’t get offended all ya’ll who like to eat this — I’m not hatin’
Basically, I don’t eat meat, so there isn’t much I can have here but there are some wonderful drinks.
The shakes are nothing to shake a stick at. They have this UH-​Mazing ice-​cream/​slush shake that is so refreshing that it should be against the law.
The drive thru is busy, because it is so hot here in Texas and with the price of gas, people don’t wanna keep their car running to have those poor, sweaty, rollerskating bellhops come to their window, JS.(just sayin’)
