Great that they have all the beers you can think of! BUT, worst customer service ever, ! they are super rude and dont even bother to check if there are clients waiting to be seated!

Came here today for the first time around 1pm. Place was dead. All the waiters were in the corner eating chic fil a. Sat down and one of them finally gets up to help us. Didn’t offer water asked us what we wanted. Told the individual it’s my first time here and they said ok I’ll be back. wtf? Finally comes back and the drink I wanted wasn’t on tap, and the next one and the next one. I just gave up and ordered a root beer! So much for going to «world» of beer! Order some food all that shit was frozen. pretty bland. Could not wait to dip out but then my waiters family showed up and they were to pre occupied to help us out. It’s safe to say I won’t come back.

Every single time we have attempted to come here we are met with «The I’m too Busy, Rude Bartender!»
Seriously, your in Katy, Tx. Not A Vegas Club, South Beach Bar, or a high volume honky tonk.
Your mainly popping tops, pouring drafts,
And ordering food to a kitchen. Not hard by any decent bar employee standards.
I’ve worked at the best of high volume bars and learned from experienced owners of those bars one very important thing:
Customers are your Bread and Butter
Your «I’m being filmed in The Movie Cocktail Attitude»
Ain’t working
You want customers
Pay attention to them and not your ego!

This place sucks! Dirty tables, filthy menus, and the glasses are nasty/​possibly reused. The bathroom was covered in urine, no paper towels and smelt like sewer. After the bartender was rude, we stayed for a short time and it only got worse. Great location & fun atmosphere but not worth the time in the long run. Better places close by to try before this crack shack!

Seems like every time I visit, they are out of a menu item, whether it be food or beer. One time we visited and were flat out told no draft beer was available. My husband refuses to go back after our last visit in which the waitress obviously forgot about us as anyone and everyone around us who came in after us received their food as we sat and stirred. But the good news is if they have what you order and it’s actually served to you, the food is pretty decent for bar fare, and it’s nice you can pick what beers you want in a flight (as long as they are all available).

We always come here to enjoy the variety and usually order flights. Service is speedy and appreciated. HUGE VARIETY OF BEERS!!! Have tried several dishes from their kitchen and really enjoy the fried pickles as an appetizer.

I’ve been to WOB several times since its opening. The only reason I’ve continued to go back is due to its location. However, it’s truly getting harder to return due to service. WOB always seems to be under staffed and it’s waitstaff is always poor to maybe fair.
Every bartender I’ve encountered only has time for regulars and acts like they are too cool to serve drinks.
I’ve experienced multiple times (not busy) trying to get a channel changed as if I’ve requested «rocket science».
Was a plus that they added a food menu. The food is solid not great, however is overpriced. One word to describe WOB is «underachieving».

Prices are way too high. Even the daily specials and happy hour prices are up there. They do have a good selection. But it’s mostly stuff that has been distributed for years. The new up and coming stuff that everyone wants is nonexistent. They do have Tap-​Takeovers every so often do you get to try some of the new unique crafts from different breweries. All in all, unless you wanna spend more to drink then I’d stay away there are plenty of places in around town with 10⁄15 they have similar selection of beer. May not be as vast. But you can for sure get your craft beer drink on

Went to see the UFC fight with friends. They didn’t charge a cover and the beer and food was cheap! I had a few foreign beers I used to drink in England and had the Chipotle chicken sandwich. It was the greatest sandwich I have ever eaten. True story. The server was LT, and she was awesome, personable and attentive. Good stuff

We stopped in for a midday drink and snack. I asked the bartender if they had anything from Cigar City Brewery. (I tried Cigar City’s life-​altering apple pie cider at a hole-​in-​the-​wall in Florida, and I haven’t been able to find anything from them in Texas.) I expected the bartender to say no, but to my great delight, she said yes. They didn’t have the cider, but they did have a key lime mead from Cigar City. I was a little unsure about that combination, but it was awesome. Highly recommend if you’re a cider drinker. We also ordered the pretzel, which was huge and yummy.
Disclaimer: It wasn’t busy, and we didn’t order entrees, so my experience may be much different from someone who goes for a full meal during a peak time.

Every time I go to this place I tell tell myself never again. There is no doubt in my mind that in order to be a bartender here you must have a complete misunderstanding of service and manners in general. Every time I am in this place the bartenders are exceptionally rude and after telling the guy on shift Saturday afternoon to keep the change and he does not even make eye contact or respond is reason enough to say goodbye forever. Theoretically this place should be jamming all the time given location. Pretty easy to figure out the reason it isn’t after the treatment you receive.

Definitely my go to Bar in Katy. It’s tough to venture into downtown living so far away from the city, so on those night I don’t feel like driving I end up here 99.9% of the time. I’m not a big beer fan as I usually drink liquor but WOB has a ton of different choices. I usually go when it’s pretty slow, which helps because the bartenders are actually very helpful especially to someone who knows nothing about beer. Recommend this place when you just want to relax and talk with friends. The games on the outside patio are fun as well!

Don’t go hungry… understaffed during busy hours… and the service is basic at most.
A couple of teenager girls who act like they don’t see you when you need something and than are hanging out by kitchen door dancing like they are at twin peaks…
If you a drinker know what you want cause non of the staff I interacted with knew anything about drinks…
Overall if you want a chance at not being irritated by the staff sit at the bar and you will be able to avoid…
Not my first time there btw…
On the positive a lot of beer selection but know what you want…

I went here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon with my wife (She’s been a few times with co-​workers). I absolutely hated it. All the bartenders and waiters were rude except for one guy. The service was SLOW and the beer is so overpriced! $ 6.25 for a St. Arnold’s??? 2 stars simply because the design of the place is cool. Save some $ and enjoy a better experience and head to Baker Street if you’re having a drink in the area.

I’ve been to World of Beer in Dallas, and had a great experience. I was very excited to check out the Katy location. Unfortunately, it was way too packed. We tried to get a drink, or a table, and after a few minutes of trying both unsuccessfully, we gave up. (This was a Friday night, about 9pm). My recommendation is to try to go at more of an off hour. I may try to return but it would not be at a busy time.

I am not a beer drinker and came here because my husband wanted to see what kind of IPA’s they had. 1st off it has indoor and outdoor seating with a few games outside. Our waiter was very friendly and pretty knowledgeable with the beer selection according to my husband. Their German pretzel is pretty awesome and is something to definitely try with the beer cheese. As someone who will have a glass of wine they did not have much selection but hence the name World of Beers it is to be expected.

I would probably not come back! If you going to come just be aware that there is no service!

We visited on a Tuesday night and the place was pretty busy. It was hard to get someone to serve us. Once we did, the waitress was not very pleasant. We ordered the tavern tater tot appetizer and it was delicious! The beer cheese sauce on the top were awesome! The burger my brother ordered was mediocre at best. It was salted heavily. They have a great selection of beers– but the service was poor.

We went on ufc fight now and our service was alright. I ordered a few craft beers and they weren’t cold enough. I’ve had colder better tasting beer at Buffalo Wild wings. The food is bland and they are stingy with the fries! Some friends ordered burgers and they had about a dozen fries each which isn’t a lot. We ordered the fried pickles appetizer and they hardly gave us any. It’s a $ 7 appetizer to eat flaky pickles that were soggy. Too expense and not enough food overall. It’s a cool looking place but could use some work.

Beer selection was awesome. Food is hit or miss. Service was slow but I think most of that had to do with the kitchen causing problems. We enjoyed sitting outside with the kids and drinking a couple new beers. Good: the sausage & cheese tray, steak salad, chicken tacos. Wings were over-​sauced but tender. Steak frites came out WAY overcooked and with no aioli– I sent my back, so did the table next to us. Meatballs were just okay. Im sure we’ll be back but not for a meal.

Kind of disappointed here.
Food and beer were good but the service was slow.
I ordered from the Tavern Shares and a draft. My wife pointed out a happy hour sign in the window telling me about $ 4 drafts and $ 5 Tavern Shares.
When the bill comes it’s not that price. I ask the server and I’m told «we’re changing or happy hour menu so no discount on the beer.» Then after telling me she would fix the food price the manager overruled.
Happy Hour prices advertised in the window do not apply to you.

Despite my previous reviews and 2 star service, I have continued to frequent this place because I love their beer selection so much as well as their food!
I must say that over the past year the service has improved tremendously which is why I am now giving it 4 stars!!! I hope management was paying attention to customer reviews on Unilocal and helped improve their service…
If you are a true beer lover this is the best place in Katy! The food is great and has been in stock the last few times I have been there. In the past I had trouble ordering what I wanted because they were frequently out of certain items. But they have been good lately and hope they continue to do so!!!
Great job World of Beer for improving the customer service! Keep it up and you will continue to be my first choice of places to go in La Centerra!!!

I got my review removed because apparently they don’t like bad things written about them. Well I’ll say it again, They have really bad service, and a «fairly large employee» (not fat because it offends you people of large weight) was very rude to me and my family and it ruined our experience will likely never go into to this place or any chain with this name again. Go ahead and remove this review too, I’ll make another when the time comes.

We went to World of Beer in La Centerra last weekend and we were the first to walk in and the bartender was quite rude and called us alcoholic’s, no lie. It was 11 on a Saturday and I had my son with me. I couldn’t even believe it. He was exceptionally rude to us so we chose to sit outside. Our waitress on the patio was quite the opposite and from then on we had an enjoyable experience. The buffalo wings were really good and we got to sample a few different beers. I would have rated this 5 stars if we didn’t meet the jerk at the front.

First time I actually wrote a Unilocal review, but service was so bad, I feel I need to do it.
I was there on a Friday night. Place was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. 4 bartenders behind the bar, and it took 10 minutes before someone asked me what I wanted. Try to flag one guy down, he say something about being busy, walks away. Think he may have been racist. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Went to world of beer after celebrating at a friend’s house nearby.
It was my first time there and I was pleased with the service and food! (They could have chosen a better live band, though!)
We got the Chipotle Flatbread, Margherita Flatbread, Mac and Cheese, Wings, & Fries and it was all ohhhhh sooooo delicious!!! (Or we were drunk, in that case it was the best food I’d ever eaten!)
The band was kinda crappy and would only take Spanish song request! (What’s up with that!!!)
Also I guess it’s just a hangout place because the people next to us were playing cards?! That’s like something I’d do at home… why pay to do that in public at 2 am?!
Good food… good service… crappy band!

Went on a Thursday night with a good amount of people, but not crowded.
I was expecting so much worse from the reviews!
Great selection of beer, more upscale than a neighborhood pub.
The staff was very attentive to our needs, she let me taste the beer before I picked one. We had wonderful service and a nice time.
Had the pretzel, it’s HUGE! So delicious and buttery and probably terrible for you (but soooo yummy).

I would give one star but they’ll get two because it does seem like a nice bar, and maybe it was just an off night.
Ordered a beer on tap and it wasn’t very cold at all. Bordering warm in fact. Yuck! My second beer I get a modelo especial in a bottle to stay clear from warm tap beers. The bartender opened my bottle and pours it in glass without dressing the glass. No lime and salt for my Mexican beer?!? So I ask for lime and salt on the side so I can add it. No biggie. The bartender dresses an empty glass and rudely slams it down in front of me! I mean really I would have been fine with a salt shaker and a slice of lime on the side. No need to go out of your way to dress an empty beer glass to spite me. Maybe with a better bartender and cold draught beer it would be a better place.

Place is over crowded and understaffed. 9:30pm Saturday night, no seats or tables available except outside in no man’s land. Saw one bartender behind the packed bar who looked overwhelmed. They had a live band hidden on the second floor in the back corner above the restrooms where no one can see them. Very bizarre, and extremely loud. Never got a drink or saw a menu. Wandered around about 5 – 10 minutes, then left. Made a special trip here and it was a waste of time and effort.
I visited this location about a year prior and experienced the same «lack» of service even though we had a table. Beer draft selection is great but unfortunately it doesn’t help to make getting one difficult. Obviously this is a ongoing issue the owners don’t seem to care about or don’t know how to solve. Will try again but not anytime soon.
