Planning a destination wedding is never an easy task. But it is helpful when you can trust the person you talk to over the phone… even though you haven’t met yet.
I didn’t get to meet Sandi until the day I arrived in Kauai, a few days before my wedding. We had few correspondences via phone or email prior to our visit but I had to trust Sandi on making my cake and wedding desserts beautiful and delicious.
I was completely blown away when I saw my wedding cake and desserts on the cake table! The cake decorations was exactly how I wanted it… Sandi even added two orchid flowers on the top for me. I was working a very, very tight budget so I didn’t want to be charged for adding flowers. I was going to just add a few of my flowers from my bouquets to it.
The mini bundt cakes and cupcakes were decorated beautifully. All my guests couldn’t stop saying how delicious everything was. I wished my husband and I had the chance to eat the other desserts… we were too busy talking to our guests and taking pictures.
My MIL loved the lilikoi flavored cake… I wish I can get some now!

Sandi made our amazingly beautiful and delicious wedding cake. She helped plan the design of the cake exactly to what my wife wanted and it came out perfectly. Every one of our guests loved the cake and had their choice between two great flavors. Thank you again for helping to make our day special.

Cakes by Sandi made our wedding cake for our wedding at Plantation Gardens on April 5^th, 2014. The cake was delicious and moist. Everyone raved that it was the most delicious cake that they ever had at a wedding. We opted for the Kona Mocha and the Hawaiian Carrot Cake flavors. If you love carrot cake like we do, I cannot recommend that flavor enough! My only regret is that we didn’t do the whole cake in that flavor.

My tiered wedding cake was perfect thanks to Sandi! Lots of live flowers and some decorative ribbon — Sandi was able to recreate a look I adored and still managed to make it my own (while saving me quite a few dollars in the process). I was a little nervous that my exotic cake, lilikoi (passionfruit) chiffon with a buttercream frosting, was too exotic for my family, but EVERYONE loved it, even the kids! I highly recommend Sandi for her professionalism, quality, and price. If you’re looking for a baker on Kaua’i, Hawai’i…call Sandi! –Elizabeth
