I hired Mia Moriguchi for my wedding for hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids and I’m so happy I did! she met every expectation any bride could ask for!
Mia and her Assistant Meghan were very professional, came on site on time and finished us on point and on schedule. They were very easy to work with and very patient on what we wanted. They used quality products and makes sure you are happy with what you want.

My daughter got married in Kauai this past week. Since we live in California, she relied on her Kauai wedding planner for referrals for all the vendors for the wedding. This is how we came to know Mia. She came very highly recommended so we hired her to ensure our hair and makeup would be perfect for the wedding. There were 3 of us so Mia got started at 8:45 AM. We asked her to airbrush our foundation and, let me tell you, it lasted all day in really hot weather and high humidity! It felt really light and looked amazing! Her eye makeup techniques are fantastic and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Ditto on her hairstyling skills! The 3 of us looked lovely by the time she was done and we were extremely pleased! If you are planning your wedding in Kauai, don’t forget to hire Mia! You won’t be sorry!

Mia made my wedding day very special! She was very professional from the beginning all the way to the very end. It was very easy getting along with her and now I feel like I have a friend next time I visit Kauai. I wanted a very natural look for my wedding and she made it happen for me. She printed out the pictures I sent her and we consulted before she did my hair and makeup. I really enjoyed meeting her and I will recommend her to any bride planning a destination wedding.

Mia is amazing! I got married in Kauai on May 24, 2014. Her and her two assistants did the hair and makeup for my two bridesmaids, my mom, my sister, my aunt, my grandma, and my little cousin. And no, we didn’t start at some ridiculous early hour, to get all the ladies done. Mia is so organized and on top of things that hair/​makeup didn’t have to start until 10AM. That meant a nice leisurely morning for me, where I could eat breakfast and lunch, work on my vows, and relax.
She was professional and her calming demeanor is perfect for any bride on the morning of her wedding. She totally nailed my desire for a natural, polished look. My husband loved that I looked like the same woman, not some painted up bride.

I’m so lucky that I found Mia to do my hair and makeup for my wedding on Kauai! Mia was sweet, professional, and expertly created the exact look I asked for!
She was a delight to talk to during my trial and the wedding day, which I especially appreciated since the wedding was immediate family only and I didn’t have any of my girlfriends around.
The only thing I was disappointed by was that Mia does not offer hairstyling services by itself; she will do your hair for free (great perk!) if you receive a makeup application, but no a la carte hairstyling. This was a bummer and added some slight inconvenience to my wedding because my mom wanted her hairstyled but was not interested in getting her makeup done professionally. We had to track down a separate stylist on the island and this turned out to be a harder task than one might imagine.

Mia did my hair and makeup for my wedding. She did a beautiful job! She is very professional and punctual. She listens to what you want and can replicate any hairstyle! Highly recommended!!!

Mia Moriguchi did hair and makeup for myself and my mother and Maid of Honor for my wedding in April. Mia was professional and worked hard to make sure everyone was happy. She did an excellent job with our airbrushed makeup and was experienced with working with clip-​in hair extensions that I used. Overall, our hair and makeup held up well all evening! I’ve never seen my mother look so beautiful. I had opted to do a trial hair and makeup run through 2 days before my wedding. I was surprised how detailed she was even with that! I thought it was going to be more casual… I felt so bad washing it all off just a few hours later :(I would definitely recommend a run through just to ease your mind, but really it wasn’t necessary because she nailed it the first time. I had sent Mia several images of hair and makeup that I liked so maybe that helped too, but if you are a little more of a hands-​on, high maintenance bride then definitely do the trial! Overall Mia was a pleasure to work with with reasonable prices (hair included with makeup… not a separate charge). Everyone looked gorgeous. Especially recommend for destination brides as well!

Mia did my make-​up (air brush!) and hair for my wedding in December and I could not have been more pleased. She was very prompt (showed up at 6:30am on a Sunday!) and professional. She even did a great job trying to calm me down because it was raining :-(She worked quickly and cleaned up fast. I took a chance, hiring an artist without any test runs, but she was able to create exactly what I had hoped for just by pictures. I hope her work will be able to be recreated for my reception in May. So glad I didn’t go with the over-​priced spa at the grand hyatt and went with Mia! Highly recommend!

Mia is a wonderful artist. She was prompt with her emails, and shared a Pinterest board with me months before the wedding. I must have
Changed my hair and makeup style 5 – 6 times right up to the wedding, because it was a destination and I didn’t know how the weather would hold up for my hair and makeup. Turns out, no rain thank goodness, but the day was warm and windy. Mia’s hair for me did not mess up at all, even with the wind blowing like crazy and my long cathedral veils all over the place! Even Brian the photographer was impressed that my hair stayed. She really took her time with my makeup. She was clean, meticulous, calm, and really fun to be with in general. We had about 2 – 3 hours alone and we ended up becoming friends. She has all best makeup from high end brands, and she is really detail oriented, and her makeup is great for weddings. She made me a touch up kit, and she even expertly covered the bug bites and scratches on my shoulder so no one could tell, and the dress stayed clean too. And she even showed me how to cry so i wouldnt ruin my makeup! She helped me get into my dress and she fastened my veils tightly. She was wonderful. She did my flower girls hair beautifully too, and fast!!! Highly recommend for any occasion. Make sure you give her a big tip!

Mia is the best! At first I was a little nervous hiring someone to do my makeup for my wedding day, but I am so glad I did! Mia did an amazing job! She used individual lashes to enhance my eyes, and made my skin look flawless.
At the end of the day both my hair and makeup looked just as good as when she finished it in the morning. I highly recommend using her if you are planning a wedding in Kauai!

Mia is AMAZING! I hired her in May do my hair and make-​up for my wedding. She seems like a natural, and is very talented. I can definately say that she is an artist, more than just a hair stylist. I gave her a few pictures to work with and before I knew it, she had transformed me into the beautiful bride that I felt inside. I gave her very little direction – just told her that I was looking for a vintage, 1920s feeling – and she exceeded my expectations. I didn’t even know that I could look that beautiful! Bravo, Mia! Many mahalos from the bottom of my heart!
