First off, their beer and whiskey selection is always amazing. They have a lot to choose from! The view of the lake is beautiful. Inside is a charming and trendy setting, good décor. Relaxed and informal ambiance. Their food is second to none, you MUST try their wild mushroom raviolis and burgers!

I came here before a concert at the Bethel Woods Arts Center in September and it was the perfect choice. Really nice, relaxing, lakeside atmosphere. Food was great. Nice wine list and beer flight option. Wish I could have included a request for outdoor seating with my reservation!

The service leaves much to be desired and the menue is very hit and miss. I’ve been here a few times and its always the same. Half the table leaves happy and the other half are upset. Also, depending on who the waitresses know in our group depends on the quality of out service. I haven’t been back in a while because of it. The only reason to come back here is for the view of the lake and the mushroom ravioli. The only thing worth getting yo eat here in my opinion.

I live locally and have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. Everything from their pasta dishes to salads are amazing, flavorful and I always get excited when we head here for the evening. They can get pretty busy in the summer but the food has always been worth the wait. Love this place I hope you guys stay open in the winter

Delicious food. Great service and ambiance. The view of the lake is gorgeous. Highly recommend if you are in the area. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, the seafood ariabatta was very flavorful, and key lime marquis was perfection. Will be coming here often.

Was so loud ended up sitting outside just so I could have a normal conversation with my wife. Even sitting outside you could still hear the people at the bar screaming. Not talking loud, screaming. The sitting outside would have been ok if it had been warmer and you didn’t need to wear a jacket the whole time. You could also tell everyone else that was there to eat was doing the same thing because they were outside complaining. Ordered drinks from the cocktail menu and should have just ordered straight gin because that’s what I got. Then I ordered my food, was thinking you can’t screw up a burger, but wrong again. It tasted like they just dumped way to much salt in it. My wife enjoyed her chicken dish, but also complained the drink was bland and the noise made the night not enjoyable. If you are visiting the area I would recommend finding somewhere else to eat.

The Local Table and Tap is a very nice combination of great food, drinks, and a beautiful view. If you’re fortunate enough to go when the weather is beautiful then sitting outside is a must! The beautiful and breathtaking view of the Kauneonga Lake provides a nice vibe and atmosphere. My girlfriend had the Fish and Chips and I had the Pierogies and Sausage. Both dishes, as well as my cocktail, were great! The total package that The Local Table and Tap provides deserves praise.

This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I have ever had in the United States. First off, it overlooks the gorgeous Kauneonga Lake /White Lake(I saw it and I was blown away by the breathtaking view). Second, the atmosphere is amazing, with nice low lighting and a temperate environment. Third, the bathrooms(at least the men’s one) is one of the fanciest bathrooms I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. Fourth, there are a set of bongo drums that anyone can play. Fifth, and perhaps most importantly, the food is out of this world good. We shared the hummus(incredible), the mussels(the sauce was outstanding), and the calamari(just amazing). We all ordered different entres, but I had a taste of all of them and they were all delicious. I personally ordered the mushroom ravioli with chicken and it was creamy and exquisite and awesome. I also tried the perogis, the salmon, the beet salad, and the yellowfish tuna, and they were all excellent as well. Oh, also they have great beers and ciders. If you’re ever up in Sullivan County, you have to come to this place. Highly recommended!

Never left unhappy. Try to get a high top on the deck since its on the small side and you get the best view up a little. The Mediterranean appetizer is very good as is the calamari. Husband loves the Asian pork sandwich(which I can’t spell the name of).

Have been to the Local Table and Tap several times and LOVED every single thing I have gotten there!!! Beautiful views, friendly staff, great drinks(get a Miami vice!) and of course GREAT food! Tip… They don’t give you bread unless you ask for it. But they are happy to bring it! Go you won’t be disappointed !

A cousin of ours is working at the Forestburgh Theater for the summer so and my wife, my daughter and her two sons(11 and 14) and I visited her and saw a performance of The Music Man. It was a 3:00 p.m. performance ending at about 5:15 p.m., and after she finished up in the theater we headed to The Local Table and Tap, that had been recommended to her. The setting is lovely: right on the lake. There are outdoor tables, but we weren’t lucky enough to get one of them so we ate inside. My grandsons and I spotted Seafood Arrabbiata, a dish of shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, in a spicy marinara sauce, served over fresh organic pasta. Two orders spicy and one less spicy for the 11-year old. Delicious. Three happy campers. My daughter had a salmon daily special. Another happy camper. Our cousin had the NY Strip Steak and she loved it. My wife, who had eaten too much at Yanni’s in Monticello for lunch ate a small salad. Service was attentive. Our waitress was friendly, personable, and smiling, was great. Water was replenished. Checks were made to see if we were happy and needed anything. We were and didn’t. It was a altogether pleasant dinner. (Only one thing I’d like to report on is the on lie menu. The prices on line are — or at east, some are — different from those the printed menu. On line the Seafood Arrabbiata is $ 22. The restaurant menu prices it at $ 25.) Visited August 2015

the food, the service, and the atmosphere are all severely lacking. my choice of mussels and french fries w/chipotle aioli made for a pretty good dinner aside from the fact that a lot of the mussels were empty shells. the white wine sauce was tasty and the french fries were perfect. the steak was mediocre and lacked flavor. the green beans were obviously frozen then defrosted and thrown on a plate. but the worst part was the 3,456 flies swarming around the dining room. they were EVERYWHERE. we kept swatting them away as they landed in our food. it was disgusting. when i asked our waitress(who didn’t even make an effort to pretend she cares about our experience and thus her tip and/or job) if this is normal she responded, «no» and walked away. no explanation, no apology, no let-me-offer-you-a-drink-on-the-house since you are dining amidst a swarm of flies. the lady eating at the next table said the flies are a recurring problem in the dining room. i have had some wonderful meals there in the past, and one that was so so… but tonight? i had the fish and chips and chips and it was THEBEST fried fish i ever had… light, flaky and deliciously cruncy without any greasiness at all. it was spectacular! and i don’t know what the did to the coleslaw, but it was tangy and refreshing and perfect with the fish. i am a happy woman, to have this restaurant in my neighborhood.

We really wanted them to be good. Gave it 4 tries. The chicken/pasta dish was good the first time we went. But lots of problems. Cold soup. Raw meat. Slow service. You can still get lucky and get a good meal here, the potential is there. But they are inconsistent, so there is risk. Still an improvement over the overrated Loser Station that proceeded it.

Seems if you want to get your food in a timely manner, don’t order any alcoholic drinks. It took nearly an hour to get our food while a couple who sat down next to us were served within 15 minutes. The only difference was that they had not ordered any alcohol! However I must admit that even though the service was pathetic, the food however was good!

We stopped here on a trip from PA to Mass and loved it! Great atmosphere, great food! My friend had a big beefy burger that was so juicy it ran down her hands, and she had ginger fries that were impossible to stop eating! I got a bolognese that was exactly what I wanted on a snowy night in front of their wood stove. You could tell the pasta was made fresh. The service was quick, the server was very friendly! Looking forward to another trip out just to eat there!

We had lunch here… I had calamari… with lemon garlic aioli. It was yummy. I’d ordered iced tea but it was«off» to me and they were out of coke! so I drank Sprite while my campadres drank local beers. I also had their potato cheese soup with ale… it was ok. Laze had a chicken with tomato, bacon and mozzarella cheese and fries. The fries are homemade and yummy. She said her sandwich was good. Tommy had a banh mi… excellent. There must be only one cook cause it wasn’t so speedy… but pleasent.
