The coffee is great, but the cupcake I ordered was disappointing. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stop by and have a bite.

This place has crepes that are amazing. The mocha ice cream one is possibly the best meal on earth. I’m not kidding. The hot crêpe contrasted with the cold ice cream lathered in mocha is, yes, an explosion of all that is good in this world. Bravo bravo

Just stopped over here because of all the good reviews. Food is absolutely great. But the waitress was so unbelievable unfriendly… Wished we left and had a coffee at a nicer place.

The coffee at Kaya’s is AMAZEBALLS! there’s nothing like it anywhere else in kona. i used to go to Kaya’s just for the coffee but then they have all these baked goods in the display… so now i’m hooked on the scones! they also have really cute locally made stuff for sale too — like kealakopiko lole and these super cute mosaic glass ornaments. OH and the Kombucha! how could i forget?! they have booch on tap and i love it bc they always have new flavors to try.

Kaya’s has the best, strongest organic coffee! This all organic café has delicious sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Along with some of the best vegan/gluten free desserts! You’ll even find some raw food items. Fresh Hawaii Kombucha on tap, and the best chai tea on the Island! You’ll want to stop here! Great gifts, and friendly staff too! Thanks Kayas!

Great place for food, specially if you have intolerance to some food. We were there cca 15x(lazy to check in). Service — good When is busy you have to listen for your order! It would be better if they organise orders by customers name. Servers are friendly and very good looking girls. Food — very good and as I mentioned they are very flexible with specials. My favorite is their quiche or cinnamon gluten free raisins bread Drinks — coffee is good, kombucha is great! We are regulars with refilling big bottles. Really good kombucha. You should try it! Ambience — funky. Not my style. Not really creative. I think they should throw some things away and purchase something more interesting and not so used. Will I come back? I’m on the way …

My husband and I are in love with this gem, Kaya’s. The food is so fresh! We love the berry bars and oatmeal. The flavors are incredible and the coffee is delicious! We have gone here two mornings in a row, and we will be there for a 3rd time tomorrow. Awesome chill environment; great way to start your next adventure!

I’ve never had such amazing gluten and nut free treats ever! Period. I tried the lazy cocoa cookie and the broccoli pesto quince. They were both great. It’s very difficult to find a place with gluten and nut free products and this little café was such an amazing discovery! Thank you Kaya!

Hidden gem, best GF items I’ve found THUSFAR on Hawai’i Island. Kombuch on tap is da bom’. I don’t know where to begin, everything is amazingly delicious. I had the GF quiche that was to die for, best GF crust I’ve ever had. Worth the trip regardless of your dietary requirements, not to mention delicious coffee.

Kaya’s is a wonderful place tucked away in Kawanui. The baked goods are incredible. From blueberry granola bars and scones to Lazy Somoa cookies, I’m obsessed with everything I’ve had here so far. The coffee is organic Kona coffee and the iced tea selection is great too. A must-go to support local business and have great, organic food items!

Loved this little shop. I ordered the veggie sandwich multiple times. The ingredients are fresh, the staff is very sweet and the Hawaiian gingerade is so good… what more can you ask for?

The most amazing gluten free treats! The savory scones are unbelievable, you must try they cheddar jalapeño. Kombucha on tap, and you can take a pitcher home. The coffee was great, they sure know how to whip up a latte! They also have a cool assortment of rings, art, lotions, and clothing for sale. We only encountered one VERY unfriendly individual that works there, and seemed to know nothing/not be willing to answer any questions about their meals and products.

So much fun to come here. Coffee is good, gluten free scones are great, and the bagels are AMAZING! They do bagel breakfast sandwiches and a variety of cream cheese spreads. The bagel dough is so fresh and soft inside with a good exterior. No store bought bagel can compare. What’s so great about Kaya’s is it’s all in one stop, you can get good coffee and breakfast at the same place! That can be challenging in Kona. I would totally be a regular if I lived up mauka. One tip for them would be to get covers for all the pastry and quiche plates. Last I was there they didn’t have for all of them. Easy fix way to avoid a bad review from someone who may mind. Mahalo Kaya’s! Can’t wait for my next excuse to stop by!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing carrot cake cream cheese frosting cup cake, my fiancé got a hot latte he really enjoyed. I got the white chocolate iced Mocha, they use real white chocolate chunks not syrup. Absolutely delicious.

Portlandia comes to Hawaii! Come get all the organic, non-gmo(labeled), gluten free treat your heart desires. I might be in a better mood if I didn’t almost crash trying to stop at this place for a coffee. Any business along this dangerous two lane main corridor is brave to say the least. The coffee was okay — and we’re in KONA! Even the 100% KONA coffee was just okay. My husband had a bakery item and he said it was good.

Authentic, organic teas and coffees. My brother is an addict to this place and always orders their iced Kona coffee. I myself am not a coffee person, so I ordered their green tea, which doesn’t come sweetened but they have a condiments table where you can use honey or their own simple syrup, among other condiments, if you please. The staff was super nice and very welcoming.
