What a great place! I had the «South of Platte» brew and it was really good, the owner garnished with a fresh lime and that really set it off. Order this if you are unsure what to order. Dinner was equally great, I strongly recommend the Jalapeño Pretzel! Pizza’s are really good, we ordered three separate 6 inch– everybody received exactly what they wanted (piece or peace in the family). We are a Pittsburgh family, road tripping and were treated like royalty. New owner is awesome, and previous owner still brews for the place!

I am writing this review for non-​Kearney residents. As a business traveler who finds himself in small and big towns alike, the hope for a rare few hours of free time is to find a place with good food, beer, and a welcoming environment. Platte Valley is exactly the type of place I look for. It welcomes regulars and newcomers alike, has several quality contracted brews, and has TVs aplenty for folks just looking to relax after a conference/​long drive. John is an engaged, excellent owner who goes out of his way to greet everyone who comes in, and Jordan provided outstanding service. I highly recommend folks «just stopping through» stop by here.

I have to update my review… The brewer at Platte Valley has decided to run a tap house rather than brew… No more SOP??? My heart is broken. Still a good place for pizza and beer but not as good as it was.
