I have not had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant itself, but I’ve had their pizza several times. It’s pretty good. A bit excessively saucey, but I love the original ideas for toppings and the thick crust.

Let me tell you about how flippin awesome The Flippin Sweet is. It’s awesome. Faith(the Flippin Manager), and Sam(the Flippin Bartender/Server Extraordinaire), were so nice to me and my road weary family, and the amazing pizza and fresh salad were so scrumptious, that we actually contemplated staying an extra night in Kearney so we could go there again!!! Lucky for us, being on a deadline to get back on the road, we ordered EXTRA pizza so we could eat it for lunch the next day, and avoid the awful highway options to which we’d grown so incredibly bored. Honestly it was the best food we’d eaten since the Montana Ale House in Bozeman!!! Highly recommend, if you didn’t gather that from the above ramblings.

In today for lunch, last minute decision. Had the Bananas Foster cinnamon roll dessert first, and this was our first try of the BanFoster since they began it. I still prefer the regular cinamon roll dessert. And we had a Calzone which we split. Good thing. Is a huge portion. For big eaters definitely. Great service always. Nothing to not like here.

Delicious, interesting flavor profiles of pizza. We had the pineapple express pizza with pineapple, mango, ham, BBQ pulled pork and vodka infused pear. The spinach salad with the pistachios was also excellent. Service was quick for how full the restaurant was and our server was very personable. I would definitely return to try anything off the menu. Apparently they also have a food truck that visits UNK football games and is available for booking for weddings etc.

The sandwich called Porky’s Revenge was absolutely delicious. The place is cozy and very warm. They’ve got a great beer selection and the service was friendly. I’ll go back tomorrow for more

Long wait, but worth it! We had three different pizzas and all were awesome. It is a really small space, but great atmosphere

First off, please stock some normal aka not craft beer! Even if it’s one or two… I would Have paid the same as a craft if I had the option. Ordered buffalo wings as it is national wing day… delicious! They were plated perfectly as well. Pizza… the American. Amazing! The Caramelized onions made it perfect. So good! Small place but very unique! Would highly recommend!

I was told this was«great pizza, not regular pizza, but homemade pizza». Well, after having the Americana(white sauce, bacon, carmelized onions, etc.) and a side of their garlic dipping sauce, I must say this should be what regular pizza is! And, I must disagree with being told by my dining companion(my mom) that it was like homemade pizza. Nobody makes pizza this good at home, sorry Mom! If they did, they would take their recipes, open a restaurant and call it The Flippin’ Sweet! I know what she meant now– this is not your cheap national chain pizza, but rather one that uses high quality ingredients. This is the pizza you try to make at home but never can. Tip: Don’t sit by the kitchen. It gets hot! If you have asthma or breathing disorders, the smoke may bother you! Even with the eclectic, clever ambiance, better to get it as carryout, if that is the case.

Wife got a to go pizza on the way out of town. It was an everything pizza and was pretty damn good. She did mention that the people working there were a little fussy if you didn’t know exactly what you wanted. Might of read a few times about fussy servers. Hey Flippin Sweet, fix it, not to hard.

Originally from Lincoln, but came back to visit some old college friends for the weekend. To start off: Make reservations! You have to call 15 minutes beforehand & make sure you do it because the space is quite small. Definitely need to recommend the dry rub wings with lime, they were delicious! The five of us shared a 20″ pizza with some left over and overall I was impressed. The service was pretty nice and the restaurant was clean as well. Will need to come back again next time I visit Kearney!

Check out the«Flippin Sweet» Facebook page! Went tonight to eat for the first time. Everything was yummy! I had the«Doris Day» chicken sandwich with pasta salad. All the flavors come together very well. The fresh made bread to the fresh vegetables are exceptional! The staff/owner was very nice & she gave us food suggestions. I will be going again. Look out for the«Flippin Sweet» Food Truck coming soon to Kearney, NE!

So, we are from NY and we were told this is the best pizza around and everyone loves it. We decided to start with Calamari with their special sauce. They were out of that so we had the Marinria. The coating was good the sauce was OK and the calamari was like chewing on a tennis ball. We had the gluten free pizza and it was very good. the drinks were good the atmosphere was cool. Service was just ok and at the end of the meal the waiter asked if we wanted to bring the calamari home and I said as nicely as possiable, the calamari was VERY chewy. his response. Oh, I dont eat that stuff so I wouldnt know if its always like that. Really not what I expected. even if you wont take it off ast least apolofgize for the bad food.

First off, this is not fast pizza. I was by myself, took a half hour to get pizza from when I ordered. I am okay with that, understanding that with great food comes an experience. The pizza, was outstanding. Ordered the Mookie. Loved it. Crust had a nice crunch to it, loads of toppings. The space is interesting. Looks like they can open the place up via garage doors in good weather. I sat near the kitchen and could see that the oven is small, might have something to do with the speed. Overall I loved it. Slow down, enjoy the pizza!

Great food. Very long wait time to get food. We Got there at 5:00 on a Wednesday night and didn’t get out until 7:10. Appetizers came quickly but the main pizza did not. Granted we did have a group of 14 people. But there was no wait to be seated. If you have little kids they will hate the wait. Our waitress explained the menu very well and was very nice and friendly. However, ordering is a little strange and was not explained ATALL. Which accounts for about 30min of our wait time as we kept waiting for the waitress to appear to take our order. We finally discovered that you must write your order, including drinks, on an order form provided in a basket on the table. You then take your order up to the counter yourself. The waitress will bring you empty glasses which you fill yourself from a soda fountain you can only see from about ½ of the dining area. The other ½ of the dining room has to ask where to find the drinks. As for plates and eating utensils… they are back by the soda fountain and must also get your own. I just wish ordering /self service would have been explained upfront. Would have saved a little time. All in all it is s wonderful place to eat. Just don’t there if you want to be waited on or are in a hurry.

I hate this place. Hate because they have Aaaaaammmaaazzzziiinnnnngggg pizza and AWFULAWFULAWFUL service. Honestly not worth going to unless you want to be treated like crap, have your order messed up, an insanely long wait and no other service. Like bad enough I have two gift certificates for large pizzas that never got used because it wasn’t worth the stress(and seriously, isn’t free pizza ALWAYS worth it?) But oh is the pizza good. If someone buys this place, fires everyone they’ve employed for the last two years, and starts over with their awesome food, I’ll be back. But until then if I want to wait forever with rude and nasty people, and have things all messed up, I’ll go have lunch at Walmart.

Seriously the best pizza I’ve ever had, and I eat A LOT of pizza! You can tell the people making the pizza take pride in their craft. The flavor combinations are on par with any distinguished pizza parlor you will find. It is a little slow, but they still get 5 stars because they are taking time to put the extra care I to your pie. Just plan on a long meal if you go there!

Here’s a nice little pizza place in Kearney, NE that will really stand out to you. They have moved, so a lot of people might not know about it anymore as a lot of people will simply drive directly pass the actual building. They’re missing a great treat though. If you wanted pizza and want the best, I can almost guarantee that no one will top Flippin Sweet. Their pizzas are huge and they have cooks that definitely care about how everything turns out. Don’t be fooled by the menus either, as the pizzas you’re going to get are going to be deliciously huge monsters. I don’t think I’ve ever finished a pie there by myself that was over a medium. The food items are named great names too to reference certain things in our world today. My favorite of course will always be «The Dude» which consists of a plethora of meat. There are it’s downfalls though as every place, and I will never leave a downfall out of my reviews. The first would have to be the seating as well. This building is super cramped at times, and it may even be impossible to find a seat. Make sure you always remember this, and order ahead of time and take the pie back to your house during dinner hours if they’re too busy. The other fact is that the building can be very hot at times. Cramped space with a lot of people and an active oven going in the back will really get to you. They do have a giant garage door which they will open from time to time to make sure the building and the people inside of the building can breathe properly. Also, one thing that can be a pain is getting to the back area to dispense your drink. A lot of people in the place? You’re not going to have a fun time trying to get a drink. With that all said though, the place is awesome. The staff are kind. The biggest tip I can give you though is to make sure you bring an empty stomach.

All the pizzas have movie theme names. I had the ‘Hitchcock’ which had chicken, spicy sausage, peppers, egg and siracha. It was delightful. Spicy, flavorful and filling. My husband had ‘the Goodfella’ which was all meat. It was good and the herby nature of the sauce even shone through the meatiness. The house salad was a wondrous combo of greens, fresh figs, pistachios, shaved Parm and truffle basalmic vinegar. It is pricey, small and the food takes a long time, but I’ve rarely had tastier pizza.
