Charcoal Charlie’s truly brings fresh, rustic, unassuming, and unbelievably savory barbecue with a «Northern Meets Southern» twist in New Hampshire. A couple of facts: 1) Charcoal Charlie’s runs out of a shared-use kitchen space in downtown Keene, Neighbor Made, and thus; 2) It is only open on Thursdays. Nevertheless, the incredible tenderness of their pulled pork, the juiciness of their angus beef burgers mixed with hickory-smoked bacon slices, and their other barbecue offerings makes you actually want to plan out what you order 5 – 7 days in advance(!) If you’re wanting their beef brisket or pastrami specials, especially, take a few days out to order to account for 1 – 2 days of smoking and 12 hours of actual cook time. Still, you cannot go wrong with their chicken, pulled pork, 6 choices of Americana and Southern side dishes, and layered meal combinations! Oh, and did I mention they feature St. Louis style ribs, too?!
