Ulta

I love going to Ulta. I could walk around looking at all the products all day long. It smells good inside, the music is always at a good volume, the store is clean and looks inviting and the staff is friendly.
Why, then, would I give it 3 stars? They are routinely out of my favorite products, and this is over at least a year of going regularly. It’s not that I can’t ever find them, it’s just that with several products, they are out more often than not. I can understand a popular product in a common shade occasionally selling out, but it’s frustrating when you know it’s (at least) just as likely they won’t have what you need, as it is that they will.

I just walked into this Ulta and, as my first ever experience, I am not impressed at all! No one greeted me, or asked if I needed assistance, though there were several employees milling around doing virtually nothing. The store was a mess, and most everything I considered purchasing, was out of stock in the needed colors. I put back the things I had in hand to buy, and walked out. I won’t be back.

The store has wide variety of product, and is organized. But the lack of professionalism is annoying. From the beauty bar person who did my lip waxing to the check out cashier, they repeatedly called me «hon». That term is too familiar, and a bit condescending. I think, ordering online might work for me because of the flippant attitude of these ladies.
I hope, Ulta’s upper management take heed, and advise there employees to stop using this very outdated term.

Me and my friend went to this Ulta last night to get 3 things. We asked the girl to help us and asked if she would check if there was any more stock of the product in the back. She barely checked and just came out and said «we don’t have it sorry.» It was frustrating cause she didn’t really want to help and didn’t offer to like order it or nothing. She acted annoyed with us. We left with no items, because they were out of all 3 things we went for.

This is a great store. There’s a great variety of products by your favorite brands. The service is great and the employees always want to help. It’s always clean inside. Prices are usually pretty reasonable and they usually have some good deals, especially if you’re a rewards member.

I love this store, so much fun and has a HUGE selection of drugstore products all the way to high end brands. No luxury brands from what I know but they are overpriced anyways and who needs them when yoo can find WAY cheaper products that can do the same here! Love love this store, don’t get to go there as often as I would love when I am picking up my skincare. Also, all the lady’s I spoke to or that helped me were super sweet and very helpful as well!

I’m a mom of four, on a budget (always), I was worried because I assumed one had to be baller status to get a facial. Come to find out they offer a variety of services at affordable friendly prices, yay!
So, without an appointment I went in looking into my first ever facial and was able to be seen 15 minutes later, yay!
We started with a consultation; Tammy wasn’t pushy but very helpful, worked with my lack of esthetician lingo. I have combination skin, dry during winter and oily in the summer. I had a 30% off coupon for first timers, which allowed me to go all out. Probably won’t do the whole shebang… unless it’s my birthday. The process was relaxing and soothing; everything my life with four kids isn’t. You even forget you’re in a department store and zone into the experience. Other than the fact that I kept asking what she was doing during every step… Just now realizing I turned into my children; what’s that? What are you doing? Why? But Tammy didn’t seem bothered and answered all my questions, yay!
After I was done, Tammy helped me plan out future services based off what I liked from the full service and what my skin would benefit from. I will be keeping my December appointment with Tammy.
This was a much needed service but I only realized that more so after. I do, DO (I said do do) recommend getting this service here with Tammy. My skin feels great and looks amazing.

I love the fact that I can purchase all my beauty needs in one store, but ive been in too many times when ive needed assistance and had nobody to help me. They need to work on customer service. but I still shop there.

Love the store but the manager «julie» is rude and has no customer service skills at all complete airhead. went In for a 6 day return on a Stila smudge product and said I couldn’t return it bc it was my fault that it was dry… well guess what lady … I have my receipt… and it’s only been 6 days! She was rude .put words in my mouth and has ZERO clue on what she’s doing.. also she wouldn’t give my receipt back. Luckily it’s on my rewards card. ULTA needs to step their game up and need to train their employees. Also it would help if they hired managers who actually know about today’s makeup and all the cool new products instead of someone who looks like they would work at Walgreens makeup counter in the 90’s.

Wouldn’t exchange a wrong color make up of PUR that was unopened. I think they have a good range of products but I was disappointed with their customer service. I may just order online from Sephora from here on forward. Too bad really.

I was so happy when I saw that an Ulta was coming to the Salem/​Keizer area. I lived really close to one when I was living in LA, so coming back to Oregon and having to drive an hour for one was definitely not ideal. I love this store for the mid level range cosmetics (ie. urban decay) and the lower end ones as well. The prices are pretty good, and they always send coupons which is great.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the selection in some of the lower range cosmetics (ie covergirl) was a little lacking. Otherwise I strongly recommend this place!
