First visit to Lupe’s…loved the classy atmosphere and the décor outside was welcoming. Loved the bean dip! I got camarones mojo de ajo, and it was cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. The server never re-filled the salsa, and barely the drinks though… thats my only complaint! I think he was inexperienced, its all good.

I live near this location but have never been here before. I decided to try it the other day. Service was alright but it’s your everyday Tex Mex food. I could not really find a «Wow» factor and in my opinion, was not authentic Mexican food. I’m being generous by giving them 3 stars. Especially with the price we had to pay, the food was kind of lacking. I may come back but there’s better Mexican food elsewhere. Plus the pricing here is crazy.

Small portions for the price, at least $ 10 or more a plate. The queso was watery. Food was not bad, just not great, which is expected for the price.

We tried this place because of Unilocal. We weren’t disappointed. It had become one of our go to places for Mexican food. We usually have the chicken fajitas and frozen margaritas The service has been outstanding.

Amazing food! Best Mexican restaurant in Keller. Service is good and food is great. The fajitas are my favorite. The margs are strong. Love it!

Go here for the food NOT for the service, our server forgot to put in our order then said what we ordered took longer then the other tables around us, which pretty much had the same thing we had .I asked to talk to the manager after 45 min who said he would take care of it, he left our food showed 10 min later then our server put in 2 orders wrong. Never said sorry or anything then over charged us. The manager offered us desert that never showed up.

When we arrived we arrived we were seated immediately however the server was very slow and inattentive. The complimentary chips and salsa was the best part of the experience as the chips were fresh and salsa was really good. Several parties that had been seated after us were served before us. I had their beef enchiladas and my friend had their beef fajitas. Overall I was say if it wasn’t for our server(we didn’t get her name) you can expect about an average experience at this place.

Great Service and Food. First visit to Lupe’s and we were all very pleased. Along with chips and salsa, they also serve refried black beans for dipping which is very flavorful. There’s a wide variety on the menu and everything we selected was fresh and flavorful, but the service really stood out! Our server was attentive, friendly and always there for us without being bothersome. We’ll definitely go back to try more.

**1 star disclaimer** I used to serve at a Mexican Restaurant. I personally would’ve given their food a 3 star rating if it wasn’t for the facilities lack of customer service, the outrageous pricing(4 of us ate their and we rang up a 75 dollar tab, and one of us ordered a kids meal.), and the fact that Tortillas aren’t free(WHAT!?). Their Chips and Salsa: The chips at this restaurant seem store bought to me because of the thickness of the corn chip(i may be wrong), they bring out 1 kind of salsa, which was alright definitely wasn’t spicy, but they do have a bean dip for your chips that was really good! Their enchiladas plate: Enchiladas weren’t awful, but I really liked their beans! (this is where it went down hill) The server seemed a little standoffish(but hey however you like to serve man!) which is no big deal, but when we asked for our check he didn’t bring it to us for roughly 20 minutes, and it wasn’t busy. The people i came with saw the manager and told him that this was taking awhile, where instead of the manager responding, our server pops out and says,“What did i do now?”(we had never said he did anything wrong in the first place) he said this in front of the manager, who didn’t try to stop his server from talking to us for him. The manager tried to talk to us after, but when we told him our problems with the restaurant he definitely caught an attitude, was arguing with us, and he didn’t bother to apologize at all. Basically went out to eat to get served by people, who weren’t there to build a returning customer base, and i wont be a returning customer. If you’re experience was like mine, check out Fresco’s it’s down the street and in comparison, it’s much cheaper and is an upgrade with it’s customer service.

We’ve been meaning to try Lupe’s since we moved in the area. It has been recommended by one of our friends and the parking lot is certainly always full. Now, I think that many of those cars are for the gym next door. I’d like to say it was good, but unfortunately what my fellow Unilocalers described is true. Service was abysmal. We were seated right away, but our server took forever to come ask what we wanted to drink. For some reason, they didn’t give us the drink menu when we were seated, so she had to go find one of those. A new Star Wars movie came out before our margaritas did. Our daughter spilled her water and we used our napkins to mop it up. Those napkins at on the corner of our table until we were ready to leave. The chips tasted like bad grease. The red salsa was good, but they also serve a bean based chip dip. Not for me! I went with my typical texmex meal — brisket tacos on flour with rice and beans. One bite into them and I knew I would not be finishing the three of them. I tried putting some of the red salsa on them, but they just were, well, wrong flavored. I will say that the baracho beans were quite good.

We’ve been to Lupe’s on several occasions, depending on the time of day or night, the restaurant is either packed, has a waiting list or not. The wait staff is always very pleasant and attentive, even when the restaurant is busy, they always make sure that our drinks are full and that we have plenty of chips/sauce at the table. Lupe’s isn’t your typical«Tex-Mex» restaurant, their menu choices consist of more authentic Mexican dishes. The chips, hot sauce and black bean dip is awesome! My favorites are the fajitas or carne asada, their mole is one of the best I’ve had and if you can handle really spicy sauce, make sure to ask for the atomic sauce! Lupe’s is one of the few Latin restaurants in the area, so if you live in Keller, I highly recommend making a stop to try them! They also have a great Sunday brunch, making it a perfect spot after Sunday service! Buen Provecho! :-)

My boyfriend and I come here often. It’s right down the street from us! We like to sit outside and share an appetizer. The nachos are brilliant! There are so many varieties and different ways to make the nachos. Nomnomm. Their chicken enchiladas are awesome as well. Of course, the chips and salsa are top notch. I’m big on wait staff and their level of friendliness and efficiency. Every time we go, they serve us like we are the primary table! Always quick to refill the salsa(except we inhale that sh**. it’s so goood) and chips. The recommendations are always nice to hear for something new or to remember next time. They are very friendly! We always enjoy ourselves when we go into eat there. They expanded recently as well. They bought the bakery out, I believe, to perform live mariachi, if I remember someone(a waiter) saying that to me once. Long story, short — GO! Get the nachoooooos.

I still question the honesty of the staff after o had something stolen off my table here and the management. Put out no effort to find it and the make it really burn i over tipped them because we had a large party. Its sad because the food use to be very good here it was our favorite. We came in 3. Times a week. I miss the big pork tamale but it is a small one now. Not what it use to be.

We’ve visited 3 – 4 times now and haven’t been disappointed at all! I just recently tried the bean dip and now we fight over it! It is absolutely delicious. I am a huge fan of chips and salsa and they don’t disappoint. My children are a fan of the Adrian’s platter, and the waiters have given them this platter with one burrito and charged me for a kid’s plate. This makes a big difference to a single parent like me! Shrimp enchiladas are well worth the cost! Overall, great place with a family feel. It comes highly recommended by our family!

I must amend my prior rating here. We have been a few times in the past few months and I think our visit recently solidified a «never going back». And trust me, this is sad as this WAS really good the first 6 — 12 months. I don’t know what happened but both the service and food went down hill. It is as if they stopped caring. Waitresses that would rather talk about what they were doing later, people who seemed like managers feigning blindness when you attempt to get their attention, food that is now mediocre at best. Even the drinks are more alcohol heavy than they used to be. I guess come here if you are a lover of heavy well tequila in your margarita. I really wish they were doing better. I would come back if I saw reviews saying they are doing well.

We had heard good things about this restaurant so we thought we would give them a try. We arrived and were told they just had to clear the table. I could see there weren’t very many customers seated. I saw a table they were most likely clearing for us. This took them at least 15 minutes to just clear the few things and wipe the table down. We get seated and we receive our chips and salsa plus a tasty refried black bean dip. After that 15 more minutes pass and still no waiter comes to take our drink order. Finally, after 20 minutes a manager sees we are looking around and asks if we have had our order taken. No, we have not we say. He apologizes and says he will help us to make it right. He brings us our drinks and takes our food order. I think next door is a club because all you could hear was bass thumping loud the entire night. We get our food and the kids nacho plate came with 6 chips on it. Yes 6 chips. I ordered the Carnitas tacos and i could tell just by looking at the meat it was really dry. Either it was over cooked or had sat under a heat lamp too long and dried out. I don’t remember anybody coming to ask if we needed refills on our drinks. After everyone was just about finished, we all of a sudden got a waitress who we hadn’t seen all night. She cleared our table and asked if we wanted dessert. We got our check. Paid our bill and were on our way. All in all, not a good first experience here. The food was not worth the money. I don’t see us going back again.

I’ve been here so many times. I can’t believe I’ve not reviewed it. I’ve become friends w/Marcos & Chuy, proprietors & managers. They’re like mi familia now. They’re constantly trying to make the customers’ experience a great one. Whether it’s different menu items, mariachi bands, or whatever. They try to win the hearts of their patrons and they succeed! This is our ‘home’ restaurant and we’re always treated like familia! Go enjoy their hospitality, you’ll not be disappointed.

Decided to try out Lupe’s as it’s right around the corner from home. I ordered CARNE A LATAMPIQUEÑA with a slice of Tres Leches cake and whoa… It was a lot of food! The menu lists grilled beef strips and grilled onions topped with chipotle sauce, cheese enchilada, guacamole and pico de gallo but… There was also bean soup, tortilla chips and three warm tortillas.(corn or flour) WOW am I full! I’m 6’2″ and a 33 waist but my abs could barely contain their composure! It was all pretty good but some lime/cilantro would have set off the rice and/or beef. Especially as the beef strips were decently sized. The cheese enchilada was pretty good but a bit lean on the main ingredient. Tortillas and tortilla chips were standard. I made sure and asked if theTres Leches cake was commercially supplied or baked in-house and was told it was made so that motivated its addition. It was meh… It was a lot of food but for $ 23, it had better be and its dependable, just no SNAP if you know what I mean. It’s local and handy but only if I’m wanting fresh Mexican with a minimum of travel. Note: I sat at the bar near the margarita machine during Happy Hour and watched a few being made ‘on the rocks’ and I must say. I’d feel ripped off if I had ordered one. The ice was packed above the rim of the glass and all told, there was no more than 1⁄3 glass of actual margarita. At $ 4.50, what a rip! As I said, the food was good but at $ 23, I’ll hit up some other local eateries and keep expanding my edible experiences.

A friend and I were here a few days ago. The food is decent, nothing to write home about. Here’s why I only gave it two stars instead of three, possibly four if our waitress had been more attentive and forthcoming: kids meals. For a plate of frozen chicken nuggets and fries it was around $ 5 – 6. I don’t recall the exact amount, but it was comparable to other places. I had ordered milk with my kid’s meal, but didn’t find out until the check came that not only was a drink not included in the meal, but it was an extra $ 2.50! I felt duped and I was not impressed that my kid’s meal cost just as much as mine. I won’t be back, at least not with my kid in tow.
