Husband and I came here on Valentine’s day as we headed home after a trip. The service was good. Better than we’ve had in a lot of Washington. We sat at the bar and we both really enjoyed it. The sushi was fresh, the fish was thick and not too thin, and there was a great selection of what we wanted coming around on the conveyor belt. And after eating quite a lot the bill was still the smallest sushi bill we’ve had! I also heard another couple make the same comment when they got their bill. We’re down in the area a few times a year and plan to be back!

First time here, and it did not disappoint. I tried a few rolls, but I would be sinning if I failed to take a moment and honor one roll in particular… Here’s a terrible idea: put chicken in a sushi roll… 46 minutes ago, I would have agreed with you. Not so fast, my friend! The Kelso roll blew my mind wide open and stuffed it with delicious chicken katsu! You have to try it. I’ll admit I was skeptical, but it was absolutely delicious. I will be back for more of you, Kelso roll.

We are confused about the positive reviews! We drove for 40 minutes based on the praise of this Sushi Bar to have a less than pleasant experience. Upon our arrival the two sushi chefs were outside smoking, when they came back in neither one washed their hands! We ordered Kirin Light and were served Kirin, when questioned he responded«this is it what we have no Kirin Light». On to the sushi, the conveyor belt of sushi was not updated for the entire hour we were there. We ordered sashimi and the waiter acted very put out, he went into the kitchen and ten minutes later returned with our order. The lids were off of the plates of sushi, floor was dirty, bus trays were overflowing right next to our seats at the sushi bar and tables had empty water glasses on them. During our visit the chefs continued to retreat outside smoking, never washing their hands upon their return. Never asked if we wanted to order anything.

I never do reviews but I HAVE to tell everyone about this place. I just moved back to the mainland from Hawaii, and haven’t found high quality sushi until I came here. Pulling into the parking lot I was a little skeptical with the relatively small amount of cars. But from the moment I sat down it was nothing but spectacular and exceeded all expectations. My husbands Sapporo was ice cold and we were instantly served miso soup. We ordered four rolls, none of them disappointing in quality or quantity, along with phenomenally low prices. To top it all off, when expecting the check, they came out with fried bananas and ice cream. We will definitely make this a ritual every time we come home to visit family. AMAZING!

Just ate at Sora Sushi because husband and I were hungry and passing through town after visiting Mt. St. Helen. Wasn’t impressed at all. The char siu ramen and beef udon lacked flavor and the broth was bland. Both ramen and udon taste like the cook quickly threw Chinese char siu and beef takeout together and pass it off as authentic Japanese. My taste buds were confused: Is this Chinese Cantonese fast food pretending to be Japanese?

We stopped in Kelso, WA for the night and Sora Sushi was right nearby. We’ve been spoiled on our trip to the Northwest with terrific sushi at every stop, and Sora Sushi continued our streak. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh. In particular, the salmon was really special. The combo sushi plate exceeded my expectations with the amount of sushi that was served. It was a lot of sushi for the amount of money charged, and it was worth every penny of its modest price. My wife ordered the bento box and said that it was«…perfect.» The service was friendly and efficient and we felt like guests in the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean. I have only one criticism about the sushi. Fritz H. in his review of this restaurant mentioned the flavor of the rice, which I agree was very well prepared. The problem was there was too much of it with each pice of sushi. I would have preferred about half of the rice. It made the sushi too«filling» and overpowered the delicacy of the fish. As I said before, the fish itself was beautifully prepared and fresh as could be. As a side-note, I tried connecting to the free WiFi, but was never able to get it to work. If you find yourself in the Kelso area, this is an excellent choice for a delicious meal of sushi!

Great service, amazing spread of fish. So close to the freeway. It’s on my list of places to stop when you need good sushi to rescue you from traffic.

My favorite place in our area. Fast and friendly and the food is very good. I have tried many things on their menu. I love the combos so I can try a variety. I have never been left hungry or dissatisfied.

In a word… WOW! This place lives up to its reputation. Gigantic proportions, massive rolls, thick slices of tuna… be careful how much you order! Very good sushi! Highly recommended!!!

Pretty damn good. Whenever im in town my husband and i always have to stop to eat. Perk is they treat you like gold. We had a family/friend gathering of 6 people. Our check was almost 100 dollars but they served us free desert and miso soup. The environment is clean and staff friendly as hell. My mother hadnt ever eaten sushi and she loved it. Eat here. Dont go lookin anywhere else. .heaven.on.earth.

I stopped here for lunch and had a surprisingly good experience. I’m giving it 5 stars because it delivers good food for the price, and I was surprised to find good sushi right off I-5. Rice: Well balanced cook with little or no rice wine flavor. Nigiri: Thick slices of fresh-tasting hamachi, salmon and tuna. Tamago: A little cold, but good flavor and texture.

What a great sushi find in Washington! I’m from Cali, so I know great sushi, and this was legit and service was prompt. Ordered the spicy California, volcano, seaside, sake bomb and Kelso rolls, all superb. Needed a special request for the veggie tempura, broccoli only and they accommodated. Would recommend to anyone traveling through the area.

Hey there folks! For me and my wife Sora Sushi is THE place for sushi in Longview Washington, that being said it isn’t in our top ten choices for Sushi in the Vancouver/Longview area of the state. One thing that is for sure is you get a lot of bang for your buck. Sora easily has the best value of Sushi I’ve ever seen. My family could often put down 8 – 10 rolls(4 or 5 of us) and I believe we topped out at 5. Quantity can be a double edged sword though. One problem we found is that Sora cut their sushi rolls way too thick. This is only a problem because sushi is meant to be eaten in one bite, and you almost can’t fit the whole piece in your mouth. Once you get it in there is a just a whole lot of cream cheese to take in. The rolls may have been pretty awesome, but it was hard to tell just because of the quantity overload. Because we still liked this place we went back probably 3 or 4 times more and always asked them to cut their rolls into smaller pieces. The one time that they actually did that it was actually pretty great! Still not the best but I would have gone back more often. But their inability to grant our request ultimately stopped our craving to go there for me and my wife. Service has been pretty average which I’m happy with. Fill my drinks and make sure I’m doing okay and I’m a happy camper. So my end thoughts are this, if my wife and I are in the neighborhood and simply must have sushi, this will be our go to place. If we can hold off, chances are we’ll go to Sushi in Vancouver instead.

This is my first trip to a Sushi place. My daughter in law and granddaughter decided this was were we were going to have dinner and so off I went on a new experience. I must say — I really enjoyed the place. It is set up nice, bright and enjoyable for visiting. I learned what a «Benito Box» is and I filled it with Shrimp and Tempura vegetables. They were very good. Our table also had Chicken Teriyaki which I tasted and will give it a good taste but milder than I prefer. I also had a sushi roll which I enjoyed. Realize — my review is biased since it was my first visit to a Sushi Place and I had great company.
