Kemah Escape

We just got back from staying 2 nights at the Kemah Escape. We were in condo #6 bottom floor. It was my husband and I and my 2 year old. The entire condo was spotless clean. I was very impressed with the filtered water on the fridge! Fresh baked goods were already there when we checked in on Friday. It was supposed to be delivered daily but we never received our 2^nd basket. King bed in master room was comfy with plenty of bedding. Couch in living room pulled out to a queen size. It was great size condo for only a few more dollars than staying at a local hotel. Full sized kitchen with stove and oven if you wanted to cook in. Also, literally walking distance to lots of bars and boardwalk! Each condo has a huge, screened in porch with a ceiling fan. Each unit also has it’s own private hot tub! The only downside to condo #6, is it’s tucked away on the back «patio» not the nice screened in front patio so that was kinda funky. Our friends stayed upstairs in condo #7 and their hot tub is on the front screened in porch. There condo also had beautiful high ceilings! If you had a choice, I would def stay upstairs and make sure to ask if hot tub is on the front patio! Also, they say they have WIFI but the signal was so weak, our phones wouldn’t even pick it up. Full cable TV!

This place is the BOMB! I love the size. The price is about the same, or cheaper than the Holiday Inn nearby. Only you get a full kitchen in case you have a family. You get a nice size table. There is a nice size tub, bed and Jacuzzi. It would be the perfect romantic getaway. I have only two complaints. My internet did not work all weekend and the people upstairs were having nonstop sex and I couldn’t sleep due to the squeaky bed upstairs. I guess the bright side of it is that it is a really nice romantic spot 4 block (walking distance) from the boardwalk!
I loved the cozy front porch that my mom could smoke on and the dog could hang out and relax while we were at the boardwalk. I liked the privacy and space. The bathroom was huge and so was the kitchen sink. They gave you a nice basket of goodies for breakfast (scones, muffins, fruit, coffee, chocolate, pastries).
I will be back for sure!

Overall, a cozy little establishment easily within walking distance to the boardwalk — a modern interior, King Size bed, nice bathroom, full-​kitchen. Our hot tub (we had a downstairs room) had a foul smell which persuaded my girlfriend and I NOT to hang out in. Outside the bedroom window was a security light which illuminated the room. I’d suggest to get an upstairs unit (so you don’t hear people walking above you). All in all, it was nice, but for the price we paid I’d expect a clean hot tub and better blinds in the bedroom.

Sometimes I pretend I’ve hit the jackpot and subsequently purchased multiple homes all over the world. One of them is a cute nautical themed place off the Texas Gulf Coast where I’m close enough to smell the salt water and in walking distance from some beloved attraction; a boardwalk for instance. I’d relax on the hammock on my front patio & later retire to the hot tub on the deck in the back.
Staying at Kemah Escape is living the dream. My husband and I recently went to Kemah for his birthday. He’s the type of guy that’s not easily impressed but he had a great time. We walked to the Kemah Boardwalk from our room which meant we avoided the parking hassle and fees. I cooked one of his favorite meals in the full kitchen. It was like having all of the comforts of home plus the relaxation of getting away.
The staff gives you a code for the lock box outside of the front door that has the key in it, so you don’t even have to «check-​in» when you arrive. We will certainly be back.

We’ve gone here at least three times and really enjoy Kemah Escape. The outside looks a little questionable, but once you get inside you’ll see it really is everything they claim. The rooms are very spacious: large bedroom with a comfy king sized bed, a full kitchen and sitting room, and an outdoor patio with a full sized hot tub. Everything is clean. The kitchen is full sized and even has appliances and items to cook with if you would rather cook a nice meal there. They also include a complimentary bottle of wine each night you stay.
It’s also located in a great spot. It’s just a few blocks away from the Kemah Boardwalk.
The only downside is that it is a little pricey and the «shades» they have to give you privacy aren’t as closed as you’d like.
But overall it’s a great place, very clean, and very relaxing. It’s so nice relaxing in the hot tub in the evening when there’s a slight breeze.
