Went on a hot Saturday in June. Nice cool relaxing dining area. Staff was friendly. Had a regular burger. Was great. Cooked to perfection. Was a little messy to eat but tasted great. Veggies were fresh. Burger grilled just right. Will stop by next trip.

Great food, awkward set up, but it’s quirky like Kemah! The food it’s great, they have a great selection of beer! Over all super awesome!

Are you kidding me? We passed up tookies for this crap! I’d like a beer please… Ugh we don’t have any… The owner forgot to renew license! Really… Ok coke zero nope diet dr pepper nope. Ok water please. Oh great Astros on outside… Nope Yankees on so I asked if they could change to root sports since NOONEELSEOUTSIDE!!! Nope owner forgot to pay bill! Really… Oh yeh the food… I’ll have the bacon cheeseburger with vegetables on the side. No sir can’t do that here either on your burger or off company policy! Really! Finally got our three burgers overcooked meat like charcoal. Feta fries were ok. Service seems very unhappy with their management. I would have given 0 stars but it wouldn’t let me! Keep driving people this place will be closed soon

Burgers are pretty good, larger than average. bare minimum stripped down service. Order at counter, pick up your food. Fries are good, small portions. Styrofoam plates. No soda fountain, bottle drinks only. Prepare to eat outside and clean your own table. 37.58 for 2 single cheese burgers, 1 double hamburger, 1 blue cheese burger 1 order of fries and 2 bottled soft drinks. I would recommend this place as a take out only place on a hot or wet day.

We really enjoyed this place! We went for the first time & I enjoyed how unique their burgers were. I also liked the variety in the fries. I would definitely go back.

Muffelatta burger is soooo good. I’ve had the Hell fries too and they rock. This IS a true burger joint. Cold ass beer and great food! I was very impressed with the helpful service as well. When it’s your first time there they will help you through their awesomely unique menu! Seriously would have given 6 stars if I could. New favorite place.

Great burger place for the hungry! Nice patio deck and lower deck to eat. They have a clever way of dumping your finished bottles/cans. You just drop it in a funnel like hole… Mini sliders are pretty filling to share with little ones. Oh, the burger with peanut butter is pretty tasty! Great place! Check it out! Their restroom is even clean for a place like this! Impressive!

We went to check this place out after having been to the one downtown. While this location is much more spacious, it doesn’t have much indoor seating so it’s best to check this place out when the weather is nice outside. They do have a pretty decent selection of beers and drinks so it seems like a good place to hang out and chat with friends over some burgers. The burgers were cooked well and tasted good but nothing special or great to write home about. I think next time I come I may try a specialty burger. The burgers are large so pretty good bang for your buck in my opinion. Lastly, the place needs some help with upkeep on things like cleaning off tables and refilling napkin dispensers.

While the burgers honestly weren’t anything special, as in, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here for them, and drinks are bottle only(though they at least have free water via a dispenser), I could see this being a nice hang out spot on the patio during the summer after being on the Kemah Boardwalk. The parking area is pretty small, however, and I imagine a lot of foot traffic coming during the summer is walking from elsewhere nearby. For what it’s worth though, the food was at least a bit more memorable than the downtown location, and the portions were pretty good for the price.

Let me preface by saying I’m rating this 5* on the food itself. If I had to combine the seating arrangement then I’d probably go 4* because of the lack of inside seating. It doesn’t bother me to sit outside when it’s hot but my family doesn’t care to so having only 6 tables inside can be a problem when it’s busy. I’m a Hatch Green Chile burger fanatic. If a restaurant has it on their menu there’s a great chance I’m going to try it. After trying Hubcap’s version I am hooked & they are in my Top 3 favorite burgers in Texas. I don’t know what makes it so special, if it’s the meat or the way the cheese & chili’s mix together to form this gooey delicious sauce. I wanted to introduce my GF to their burgers and willingly sat in horrible Kemah traffic for an hour to get to there. Their«stinky fries» which are covered in vinegar & garlic are delicious. My sister loves their buffalo fries with blue cheese crumbles. I hear their plain cheeseburgers aren’t amazing so if you go here try one of the specialty burgers instead. I’ve tried the Philly Cheese Steak burger and it was delicious as well but if you’re there during green chili season you need to try that one. Also, I went for lunch the day after Glenn Frey died and they were playing Eagles music all day in remembrance which I thought was a nice touch.

This place is just as good as the location in the heights. I had the hatch green chili burger and the Greek fries. Both were very good. A little expensive for the beers($ 5) but I have definitely paid more in the past. Overall, a great burger joint on the south side of Houston

Came for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Walk upstairs and order at the window. Grab a seat and they call your number over the intercom to pick up at the window. So many options to choose from but opted for the jalapeño cheeseburger with bacon and chili cheese fries. The burger itself is pretty big. Had to force myself to finish ¾ of it. The burger patty was seasoned well and I really liked the bun it came on. The chili cheese fries were good and a shareable size. Don’t forget a fork since it can get pretty messy. Plenty of chili and cheese on all the fries down to the bottom instead of just piled on top. Very casual place to grab a bite to eat if you want something other than your typical fast food joint.

Burgers are inundating the clear lake area, and i’m ok with that! When i have 4 solid burger places to choose from, i’m a happy girl/yelper. Hubcap Grill is a funky joint in downtown kemah. It’s roots harken to the original downtown location, and it has the same kitschy, roadhouse décor. Burgers are all she wrote here, folks. No veggie burgers, no turkey burgers, just the real thing — greasy, beefy, deliciousness. We’ve tried a bunch and haven’t been disappointed yet. Philly is great if you can handle all the meat. My personal favorite is the muffuletta burger, which comes with a great olive tapenade. Sticky monkey — which has peanut butter on it — is their most famous. Their chili cheese fries are excellent, too! They sell bottled beer and wine. Most dining available is outside, but they have a few inside tables in case it is raining/cold. Eat your beefy heart out, kemah!

Excellent burgers !!! Was all hyped to be. To be clear that’s about all you can rate this place on which is fine as its a walk up window with outdoor and a small inside dining space, burger shack type place. However was very nice sitting outside on the deck in the quiet part of the Kemah neighborhood. Only cons, need to do something about skeeters, more fans, citronella candles, one of those propane area, something we were rushing to finish as that time of night were being eaten alive :( Also it’s unfortunate since outside seating they probably can’t ban smoking, but should consider it. some beer boozing jerks next to us just could not get the hint blasting cigarette smoke onto small kids is just not nice. Think HubCap will just have to mature into the space and see if their base ends up as the bar crowd or the family crowd, as with that location in Kemah yet so close to the largest grower my family neighborhoods in the area could flip either way.

We were stay at the Holiday in an spotted this place from our rooms window. We decided to give it a try and I am glad we did. I had the monkey burger(with peanut butter & banana) and I was awesome. There artisan beer selection was really good & went well with their burgers.

We came here to escape the madness and cookie cutter food establishments at the Boardwalk. The patio was shady and relaxing even at the hottest part of the day. There is a small air conditioned dining area with about 6 tables if you need to get out of the heat. The Frito Pie burger was really good. It was a bit messy, but not overly so. The chili was nicely seasoned and Fritos added a nice crunchy texture. Cheese and jalapeños added nicely to the overall flavor. The Cheesy Chito burger is exactly what it says. A burger covered in cheese sauce, then topped with crunchy Chitos. I didn’t get to try a bite of this because my friend ate it so fast. He did say it was very good and he would order it again. The Guacamole Swiss burger was a slight let down, but only because the guac wasn’t that good. Greek Fries are awesome, so are the chili cheese fries. We also had the Hell fries with jalapeños and sriracha. They were not as hot as I would have guessed. All burgers here are large, even with just a single patty. If you are looking for a place to get away from the crowds and have a nice reasonably priced meal. This is a great choice. You can walk here from the boardwalk, but it is a long walk(5 blocks from the roller coaster). In the heat, we were completely soaked with sweat when we arrived. They do have a parking lot on the West side, and head in parking along the streets.

This place has ruined me forever. After tasting the sticky monkey burger, I am now hooked on the combination of peanut butter, bananas, cheese, and bacon(and ground beef). It’s an improvement on Elvis’ favorite sandwich, and that says a lot about the cooking and creativity of this establishment. Great big ol’ deck to sit on and enjoy a breeze, and enough beers to find something you’ll like. Add to that a rockin’ juke box, and baby, you’ve got yourself a good time!

I went back today with my wife and it was a mistake. It was like it had become a different place. When I placed the order I asked them to put the tomatoes on the side(my wife likes them and I don’t.). We’ve done this hundreds(probably thousands) of times at every other place we’ve gotten burgers. They refused. I asked them to cut the burger in half. They refused. We ordered fries, *extra crisp* — they weren’t.(I think the request was just ignored.) We ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The meat was ample, but the burgers were pretty much tasteless. They’re stingy with their condiments. We were handed two little cups of catchup for the fries. When we asked for salt and pepper(for the tasteless burger) we were given two super tiny tear open containers that have almost nothing in them and I that found almost impossible to manage — as usual I ended up dumping all the pepper in one spot. We won’t be back. ___ We’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for more than 25 years

Decided to come here after my second half marathon, as I had had so many carbs, I needed some protein in the form of a huge fat juicy burger! Luckily Hubcap Grill delivered! Although, arriving here and realizing I had to walk up stairs to get there almost made me turn around. Then, it looked like there wasn’t any inside seating and I almost turned around. But there is, it’s just tiny and hidden away on the other side. I’m glad I kept on, because this was a damn fine meal to celebrate with! You order at the window, even if you sit inside, and they give you a number to come pick it up(outside) at the pick up window. I got a cheeseburger, with everything but onions and hubby got a hamburger with everything. Plus we ordered Bacon Cheese Fries to share. They sodas are only in bottles, but it looks like they have a jug of water and Styrofoam cups now for water, but I didn’t see that until I ordered my $ 2.25 bottle of soda. Oh well. The whole bill was only $ 21.64 so I ain’t complaining! We went inside and the wait wasn’t too bad; granted this was at 4:30 on a cold, drizzly Sunday. I’m sure it gets busier in the peak season. And the place is so freaking cute… and by cute I mean tiny! You could probably fit 25 people in there. But the patio is nice and big, so I would definitely sit outside if the weather is decent. So they called our number(69, which made me giggle because I have the sense of humor of a 14 year old boy), and we picked up our food and holy cow those burgers looked good! Huge and fresh! And they definitely tasted just as good as they looked! Messy and yummy, with burgery goodness dripping down your arm. The fries were really good too, but even when I’m not carbed out I’m not a big fry fan. Hubby says he thinks these burgers are better than Tookie’s. I think they are pretty darn close, but I better go back a few times to make sure. This place is quaint, and reasonable, and delicious. There’s really nothing I can knock for any reason, but I want to try a specialty burger too before I give out five stars. Although if you can’t make a plain burger well, then it probably won’t taste better with fancy fixins. We will definitely be back, and I hope it’s soon! Great place, great food, and great atmosphere! Can’t wait!
