My mom just had horrible experience at this place!!! The girl working the front desk Kelly disrespected my mom and her fiancé. Being a returning customer where there are many other options in the area, she was kicked out of her room due to their overbooking error! This was a clerical error of the front desk staff person kelly. They were left stranded on a very busy weekend when they were there celebrating a special event. Accommodations are mediocre, Management=deal breaker not worth your business!

You definitely pay for the view of the bay and the close proximity to the board walk and lighthouse shopping. The room was sparse and lacked the charm you would normally associate with a Bed & Breakfast. In fact, there wasn’t much about Seaside Inn that made me think Bed & Breakfast. You never meet the owners/operators, just pick up/drop off your key in the entry way. There is no hot breakfast, just an assortment of muffins, Danish and fruit waiting in your room upon check-in. Decorations are sparse and honestly, this place could benefit from some TLC(water spots on the ceiling, worn and stained carpet on the stairs, etc). Not to mention the paper thin walls. Needless to say, it was not what I was expecting for a $ 220 a night Bed & Breakfast. View from the private patio was very nice and location was super convenient. Made the best of our night, but I doubt we will be back.

I think this place is a really great value. It is roughly half of what a room on the boardwalk costs and has more space. You are about a block in a half from the boardwalk, and directly on the bay. We had room #3 and it was clean, had a great balcony and was very comfortable. The second floor has a common sitting area with a full kitchen and big deck. The check in was painless, I think I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice room right on the water(room #3). Owners accommodated our very early check in without hesitation and even upgraded our room for free. Very nice sitting area on the 2nd floor and very cozy. I’ll have to agree with everyone else about the breakfast. It was good, yet very lacking. My wife and I stay at bed and breakfasts because we enjoy the home cooked breakfast that you can’t get at the Holiday Inn. Well I kind of felt that is where they got the breakfast they put in the baskets. With the large, nice kitchen they have on the property, they should invest in cooking a hot breakfast most mornings. Overall, we would more than likely stay here again. Great location, reasonable price compared to other places in the area and nice people who run the place.

I agree with Michelle P. on many of her points. Overall, this is a nice place but definitely not the nicest. My wife and I stayed in Room 6 and enjoyed the close proximity to the Kemah boardwalk attractions. For all the Longhorns fans out there, the sports bar across the street(Zone 504) gave us a great deal on pizza/drinks. Plus, they turned on the game for us WITH audio. Can’t beat that. There are a few downsides to the Seaside Inn: 1. This most definitely is not a traditional bed and breakfast. It’s almost as if the owners are too cheap to cook an actual meal. The vending machine breakfast foods don’t cut it, especially for the price for one night. 2. There definitely are some maintenance problems. The bathroom sink and jacuzzi have some drain issues(i.e. they are broken). 3. In going along with the owners cheap style, the 3 towels that were provided were old and raggedy. At home, we use towels like that for our dog. For $ 220 per night, I want a nice towel damnit. In the end, I’m not sure if my wife and I will stay at a Kemah Bed and Breakfast Group room again(this includes the Captain’s Quarters and Edgewater Inn). While the location is great, the owners need a reality check on their prices. The overall price is not a good deal for what you get.

This place overall is very nice. The rooms are clean/comfy, it’s right on the water, and is only a short walk away from the boardwalk. However, I would be very hesitant to call it a «bed and breakfast» as it claims to be. Usually when I think B&B I think of a hot breakfast, not vending machine breakfast foods(muffins, granola bars, etc) which is what was there. For this reason I’m not sure the value is all that great, but we had a good time staying there!
