Why Oh Why Had I stayed away thus far…
French Vanilla and Double Chocolate Fudge Enough Said…

The salted butterscotch with roasted almonds and brownie in french vanilla ice cream is amazing!

They have Churro Caramel Crave on their menu and their display. 3^rd time we come in 5 months. Never had it. Today, they confess that they NEVER have it.
And the employees do not even clean up between customers. Place looks filthy.

I usually go here on an impulse. I see the sign as I’m driving by and I have fond memories of how great Cold Stone used to be and how my family would drive all the way to Menlo Mall because that was the only one around. So I make a little detour and go in.
And then I’m disappointed. Maybe it’s just this particular franchise but the service is ok, the quality is ok and the prices are astronomical. Just because they smoosh the ice cream around with the big scoop doesn’t justify it costing $ 3 for a tiny cup with one topping.
Maybe now that I have my thoughts in writing I will be able to resist the urge the next time I’m passing by. I suggest you do the same.

Quality is just pathetic

I haven’t had Cold Stone in a while as the one near my home had shockingly closed down as they were always really busy. (definately more busy than this location). Located inside a shopping center that’s pretty dead at night, i’m surprised they even get customers! The location wasn’t busy at all (saturday night) and there were 4 girls taking orders and mixing the ice cream. My friend ordered a love it (med) sized ice cream and the small asian girl behind the counter gave my friend a like it (small) sized ice cream that didnt even reach the top of the cup (it’s their smallest cup!). We thought it was someone else’s order. It looked as though it were half eaten and since the girl was so slow, it was already partially melted! There was another girl there that gave really huge portions (probably to make up for her co-​workers stinginess, haha) She gave nice portions but was always very slow. My ice cream was dripping all over the place before I even paid. It was so melted that I had to find a seat and eat it before it turned to milkshake. Being a sucker for chocolate desserts, i usually go for the germanchokolatekake or the chocolate devotion. The location is pretty big and has plenty of seating which is nice. But 2-​stars for really slow service and melted ice cream topped with some asian stinginess.

Service quality declining, prices increasing, cleanliness slipping. Avoid.
