Outrageous Bagel Company

I often get bagels here and have not once encountered issues with the food or service. The food has always been great and the service was on point. However, it was a true disappointment today to have experienced the worst service possible. Upon arrival, Saturday at 4pm (30 minutes before closing) all of the chairs and tables were pulled away, and stacked. The food in the displays were not there. And worst of all, ordering a bagel with cream cheese, eggs, and nova felt like I was pulling an arm. The lady at the counter made me feel as if every word I said was a personal attack towards her and gave me the worst vibes ever. At this point I wanted to leave, but I did not. While I was ordering she was pressuring me to order for the person I was with, however they were on a separate order. After I ordered my bagel, I was told that they had no coffee, thankfully someone in the back was able to make some coffee. I felt this enormous pressure from this lady. Even though it was a around 20 minutes to closing, she had put our food in to-​go boxes and Didn’t give us the option to be able to at least sit outside and eat. When I opened my container, the bagel was not how it normally comes, as a sandwich. It was an overall terrible experience to want a simple bagel here.

I wanted to like this place so much! Alas, the service was terrible and I was made to feel bad for asking for what I wanted. Initially I was going to get a cream cheese, egg, and salmon sandwich. But they wouldn’t let me get a flavored cream cheese with it. So I asked for flavored cream cheese on a bagel and wanted to add an egg. Is this an outrageous request? It seemed so. And yes, they did overcharge me. Also, don’t expect any veggies to be added to your sandwich. The food itself was fine, but not at all what I wanted. Boo!

Food quality was fantastic. Oddly enough it was 20 minutes to close and the floor was being mopped, and tables were packed and pushed to the side. My sandwich came out tasting great, but the small cup of coffee in a styrofoam cup and the hurry to push me and my partner out made the experience unpleasant. By closing time they were out the door and waving hello to their friends; this staff really knows how to end early! When the owner is around business is operating smoothly, however service was very off today; this made the experience outrageous, indeed.

Could be better. This was my second time eating here at Outrageous Bagels and I’m on the fence about it. I would have given 3 stars but the coffee here made me reconsider. Amazing coffee drinks! I ordered an iced hazelnut cappuccino with whip cream (they added sprinkles) and yum! The food though isn’t what I expect it to be. I ordered an egg and cheese sesame bagel sandwich. Eggs were slightly burnt with little to no seasoning. Every time I took a bite of the sandwich I had to set it down to wipe my hands from the eggy cheesy liquid that was falling out of it. Not outrageously delicious but not awful. According to my date, who is not credible nor a chef, he could make a better breakfast sandwich (lol). If I crave the coffee again soon I might return. Maybe third times a charm.

I visited Outrageous Bagels for lunch. I had a turkey pastrami on an onion bagel, and it was great. I also took home half a dozen bagels, managing to snag the last salt bagel available. It was good, but not amazing.
Service was imperfect. The person making my sandwich started making it without getting the whole order, so she kept coming back to ask what toppings, etc. Then she made it without the cheese, so she had to open the box back up to add the cheese. I think she was being distracted by another employee. I’d come back, though.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I do not have time to make breakfast before work and so i go here to get a smoothie with protein. To add supplements is FREE!!! can you believe that?! delicious every time. The staff all know me very well by now and always make me feel welcomed. You cannot go wrong here.

The quality of the food was a disappointment and it was a total rip off. We ordered an open faced nova bagel, that has only enough salmon to cover a ¼ of ½ of the bagel. They distract you from the ripoff by adding a bunch of extras like large tomatoes and lettuce leaves, a side of potatoes salad the size of a large spoonful, and some bagel chips. I would have much rather had none of that and the proper amount of nova.
Maybe the business is suffering but it could be because you aren’t giving your customers what they’re paying for! I was very unhappy with the price of the platter and what I actually got. I will never go back. There are so many other better bagel shops that give you better and more food at a better price.
I highly recommend skipping this place!

I have not personally visited the restaurant, but a client brought us a box of these delicious bagels and spreads and we were in heaven! The bagels were enormous, fresh, soft and I writing this review is making me want to go and purchase more. lol

I was in the mood for bagels and heard this place was one of the best so i decided to go with the family this past Sunday. I was delighted by the aroma of coffee as I walked in just what i needed. I looked at the menu and noticed they had a variety of breakfasts. My order was the onion bagel with scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, green peppers, tomatoes with bacon. My boyfriend ordered a classic breakfast that included scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, cooked ham with a guava bagel and cream cheese to top it with a café con leche (cuban coffee with milk). My little one ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese with a side of cold milk. I must tell you we were not disappointed with our orders it was definitely very yummy and made with love. The staff was very friendly and after we placed our order we sat down at our table then called our number once or food was ready. They have inside and outside dinning. There bagels are made fresh daily. Ohhhh how can I forget they make smoothies and I was curious and ordered the chunky monkey that is made with peanut butter and banana with a vanilla yogurt. It was soooooooo delicious that I only got to drink half of it before my son got his hands on it and finished it off. My little one was so satisfied that he asked as we were walking out the restaurant when we were coming back? Lololol. My boyfriend was also satisified and this place will definitely be a repeat for me. The parking is very convenient and is close to the restaurant with many different stores around. The place is also clean and very quick.

Good food, mehhhh service. On our first visit we felt a bit rushed and just ordered the first thing we saw flash on the screen. I liked the digital menu but they change the background so often you can barley read it (and I’m a speed reader!)… The iced cappuccino was delicious, and so were the sandwiches, but ill stick to NYBD.

Absolutely delicious ! Had the vegetarian delight with hummus on a bagel which is two meals in one from how enormous it is. It’s right around the corner from my job and I can’t believe I have not been here sooner. Fresh oj for maybe $ 4. Great fresh place and will be coming regularly.

Very good food! I was a little confused with the menu & the associate did not do a good job explaining their offerings but none the less I was satisfied with the food and they use good quality turkey which I loved!

I’m a sandwich lover and man did I just meet my new favorite place. The staff were friendly, the ingredients super fresh, and there was plenty of variety. Come for breakfast come for lunch. If you’re a sandwich lover you won’t be disappointed

I’m so sad that I do not live near this area, because I love this place!
We were attended by Robert (manager), he was very nice and helpful. My bf and I wanted to have breakfast, it was 1pm by this time, so Robert let us know that we could still order from the breakfast menu but the special prices wouldn’t apply, which was OK.
This place has an abundance of bagels, so you can choose the type of bagel you want on your sandwhich. I ordered the egg, cheese, and bacon sandwhich on an «everything» bagel. My bf ordered the same thing but on a croissant. They were both great, but I liked mine better… lol. The «everything» bagel has so many things on it. Salt, pepper, sunflower seeds, and other seeds which I couldn’t distinguish. Super yummy.
I also ordered the mango and raspberry smoothie. I was concerned that it would be too tangy but Robert told me that he’ll put a little bit of brown sugar in it to make it sweet. I received my smoothie, and yes, it was sweet and super tasty.
My bf also ordered a chocolate croissant. And wow, it was delicious. It was warm, and soft. I really enjoyed it.
I also noticed that the employees and Robert get along well. I like that. Pepi, an employee, was very nice and joking around with Robert. Its a very friendly atmosphere.
I will definetly be back when I’m in the area!!!

Bagels are good, made in house, and fresh! We had a egg, sausage and cheese bagel that was so good. The prices are normal, it wasn’t low price but it was affordable.
There is seating inside and outside. Great service!!!

I had a breakfast sandwich on spinach and cheese bagel. Yummy! Next time I am going to add cream cheese. My bf had a bagel with nova and thought it was really good. The lady who took our order helped me especially, since I am so indecisive. She was patient and helpful. We told them we found them on Unilocal,and the manager gave us a free cookie and pastry since it was our first time (that was a nice treat :) She said «the crazy lady keeps them coming back! So ask for the crazy lady ;)

Exceptional place to indulge your bagel cravings. Don’t be deceived by the mundane cream cheese bagel, this location serves unique and delicious bagels in every conceivable combination. I ordered an excellent pastrami bagel which was accompanied by their complimentary house brew blend of coffee.

Great place for a quick breakfast at a neighborhood bagel shop. The ambience is very simple and plain. I went here twice within two weeks of each other this past month and had a good experience both times. The staff is very friendly and offered great customer service. They offer all different types of bagels and sandwiches.
The first time I went I had an everything nova and plain cream cheese bagel. It was the nicest presentation I had ever seen. It was tasty… But the nova tasted a little off… I still ate it though and I was fine. The second time I went I ordered an everything bagel with chive cream cheese. The bagel was delicious but it tasted like the chives were in the cream cheese too long. This time I found out that the minimum on a credit card was $ 5 so I had to order an iced coffee too. The iced coffee was pretty good.
I would definitely go back here if I was in the area and wanted a homemade bagel versus Einsteins. I’m curious to try the nova bagel and cream cheese again to see if I have the same experience.

I’ve been coming to Outrageous Bagels ever since i started working around this area. The office gets bagels from here at least twice a month. They have many different cold and hot beverages. Their hot chocolate is one amongst the best selections for hot drinks. Their iced café mocha is also very good. They have a huge selection of bagels which can also be made into sandwiches. They also offer a whole variety of baked items and salads.

Great breakfast place with very good customer service! They’re probably best known for their bagel sandwiches and wide variety of bagels. I highly recommend the pumpkin bagel, my favorite. They work quickly and even though there’s always a line, they do a great job of keeping the flow going. Worth the wait by the way!
Pros: Bagel selection, breakfast sandwich however you want it, customer service, speed.
Cons: people get way too close in line (that’s all I could think of)
