There’s a bit of a wait to be seated, but well worth it. Excellent food and great service.

After moving to Miami from New York a few years ago, one of my initial missions was to find a good Jewish deli [check that: a GREAT Jewish deli.] After all, for the prior 27 years I lived less than a block from the the Mecca of them all, The Carnegie Delicatessen. In fact, I had The Carnegie on speed dial and was friendly with Deli Meister Leo Steiner, until his death. That’s all to say I know Jewish Delicatessens. I’ve sought them out nearly every time I’ve traveled. Besides, legend had it that Miami is «New York South.» The place would be crawling with ‘em. Long story short, and this is already feeling a little long, I found no deli on the Miracle Mile where I was directed to find an authentic Brooklyn stalwart by a New York kinsmen. There were a few in southern Miami with appropriate names, but something missing [The water? Naw. Perhaps attitude, ingredients, and/or recipes.] I made due with those. Three years after my move, a new friend introduced me to Roasters & Toasters, also less than a block from where I live. WTF?! I’d been driving past the place twice each day for years – but never noticed it. And why should I? I never seek-out foods specifically roasted or toasted. What an unlikely name for a New York-style deli! Perhaps, at least, «Roasters & Toasters Deli?» Or «The Delicatessen of Roasters & Toasters?» Nope. It’s just«Roasters & Toasters» and locals know it. The place is crawling with customers from 6 am until after lunch. Who knew? Roasters & Toasters comes as close to the real thing as is possible without knowing Leo’s secrets. «I cure my own corned beef,» Leo once let slip. Sunday morning lox & eggs? Close but not a match. Pastrami on rye or a Reuben? Almost. Bagels? Soooo close. OK, I’m a jaded New Yorker whose expectations have been set unfathomably high. Roasters & Toasters ain’t Noo Yawk, but it is a fine New York STYLE delicatessen, mimicking the atmospheres and flavors of the Carnegie, Stage, Wolfs, Sammy’s, and others. It’s as close as one can get so distant from the City. Bottom line: it’s good, very good and you won’t do better in Miami. Recommendation: stay away from Roasters & Toasters – or I’ll never be seated!

What can I say about this diner I found by coincidence a few months ago. I love it. It’s like bring in a NY diner. Great food, plentiful, the family size cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Service is always great. Parking is a little hectic if you are trying to park in the shipping center but you can park up in the roof as there is plenty of parking. It’s not a high end diner but prices are someone expensive but well worth it as there is no way that you can eat the huge portions in one sitting do you have two meals for the price of one. Check it out.

I love Roasters and Toasters! I’ve been coming here(to the US1 location) for many years now. I remember my first visit, I walked in and it was love at first sight. It is my little piece of NYC right here in Miami. I wouldn’t change a single thing about them. Yes, it’s a hefty bill for breakfast /lunch but the portions are just as hefty. I always take home my leftovers and have enough for another meal later later. It’s been hard to deviate from my usual order(s) because they are just so good!; –Art Special on Rye with extra horseradish sauce –Challah French Toast with Nutella $ 12.75 –Iced Coffee(self serve!) My fiancé and I recently tried the Eggs & Bacon(comes with choice of potato and bagel or toast) $ 12.45. We had it with french fries and cinnamon raisin bagel. Very tasty and very filling! Sometimes I come here just because I am craving the pickles and coleslaw! They’re that good.

This place is amazing as far as food and quality. But the one major gripe I have is the price. It’s overpriced! First of the skillet starts at 8something and if you wanna add sides there about 4 dollars each. I’m not too thrilled with there over priced breakfast.

the first I came to roasters and toasters I was not impressed … I have been craving a salmon bagel for a while and decided to give this place a second shot, and I am glad I did Roasters and toasters has been in the same shopping center for a long time. While I went on a Friday morning and there was no waiting line, from what the server Told me, it gets very packed on the weekends, so make sure to Come early . My fiancé and I both had the nova bagel with everything !! They bring a platter with all toppings to place inside the bagel. Big portion and absolutely amazing !!! A 10 all around ! It is filling, but we decided to go for the French toast at the end. I was undecided between the regular French toast and the Nutella French toast, and the waiter suggested to get he original French toast with Nutella on the side ! Great idea ! It hit the spot !!! Overall, this place take the cake !! Everything was amazing, and I left as a happy camper. Our waitress Debby was amazing, very helpful with the recommendations, ask for her when you go.

Oh my goodness the omelettes are enormous! Unless you haven’t eaten in a week, split your order. We both ordered omelettes and one omelette is about the size of a small infant. Okay, jk but I think there are 6 – 8 eggs in the omelettes. Plus you get a side and you get a bagel or toast. If you choose two ingredients for your omelette its $ 12 or $ 13. If you split this plate, you’re really paying $ 6 per person and its a lot of food. But hey, they are delicious so if your hungry and ambitious, go for it! They also have flavored coffees(although we ordered the standard roast). I always love when restaurants offer several roasts of coffee. Next time we hope to try one of their sweeter breakfast items. They look delicious! Again, very large plates. You can probably split those as well.

Placed a delivery order for my coworkers and myself today and I must say I was very impressed. This was my first time ordering from Roasters’ n Toasters so when I took a look at their menu I felt it was a bit pricey. Well, for the amount of food I no longer think this way. Now that I know better about the portions perhaps I would go halves with someone. Very delicious!!! Delivery was precisely on time, and the woman on the phone who took my order was extremely friendly.(thanks Tina!) I will be ordering with them again.

This place was a pleasant surprise. The wait time was very quick for a Sunday brunch, only took about 15 minutes to be seated. My husband and I both tried the creole eggs benedict, which consisted of crab cakes(instead of English muffin), potatoes, fried shrimp, with the traditional hollandaise sauce. We also ordered the Nutella french toast with a side of bacon to share and we could not finish the dish as the portion was huge. Everything was delicious and I would definitely return! :)

i must say Roasters’ n Toasters was a very much peaks and valleys experience. The wait time wasn’t too bad, 20 minutes and they were packed. Its always nice to be able to move tables so quickly. Upon being sat you get the complimentary Pickles and Slaw, my wife enjoyed them, but I was not much of a fan. For my meal I ordered the Create your own omelet, with oatmeal and a bagel, YAYCARBS! The Omelet was nothing to write home about and it was so huge i wouldn’t even come close to finishing it. The bagel and the oatmeal on the other hand were amazing and i really enjoyed both. My Wife got the Banana stuffed French toast which was crazy good and can be ordered every time with no fear. The service was very nice and friendly. Bussers are always moving around filling waters and clearing plates. The one dilemma came when my wife wanted a bit of the Nox to put in my bagel. The wait staff told us that they did have a side of Nox available and we ordered it. When our bill came it was $ 8, which wouldn’t be bad if for $ 9 we could have gotten the full Nox order with a bagel and the onions and capers. Seemed really pricey and we wouldn’t have ordered it knowing it was $ 8. Overall it was a good place for breakfast, but not great.

R&T seems to have a great following so I stopped in to see what it was all about. Had coffee, split pea soup, & a combo ruben. The coffee is your typical diner coffee, weak and bland. Same goes for the pea soup, no flavor, needed to add a lot of salt and pepper(and I don’t like overly salty foods). The small bowl is 2x the price and size it needs to be for a side. The pickles and cole slaw were very good. The Corned Beef & Pastrami Ruben… Death on a plate, in a GREAT way! This sandwich was huge. I could have made 4 smaller sandwiches from it. It really is too big as you can’t eat it without it falling apart and getting messy, there’s just an overload of meat and not enough bread. Overall an OK place to eat. It’s rundown on the inside, wait service is straight forward and to the point. Prices are high $ 31 out the door for what I had but I think the sandwich at $ 16 was worth it for the quality and size.

Looking for an authentic Jewish deli? This is the spot. Whether you’re in the mood for a bagel with lox, or a pastrami sandwich, they have it all. First, you start your meal off with complimentary pickles and coleslaw. Not just any pickles, but a mix of half sour and regular dill pickles. This is probably one of the main reasons I continue to dine here. This time I opted for matzo ball soup and a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The matzo ball soup didn’t taste as homemade as I would have thought, but it’s still good if you want a comforting soup. The egg bagel was great with veggie cream cheese on top. My dining guest got her bagel with tuna on top. It was all fantastic. Lastly, we ended our meal with a black and white cookie. Can’t go wrong with their pastry section! They even have cinnamon buns the size of your face and the height of like 3 inches. No exaggeration! Overall, come here if you want a good deli style meal. Can’t go wrong.

This is the place to go if you’re looking for a New York Deli-type environment. All of the staples are there! We went once for lunch, and once for breakfast. Both times, we were greeted with a large bowl of whole dill pickles(worth the price of admission alone), and a bowl of cole slaw(heaven). I would go just for the pickles, personally! When we went for lunch, I got the French dip, and my husband got a traditional Reuben sandwich. They were massive! My French dip was perfect. Juicy, and on the rare side. My husband loved his Reuben. Breakfast was a little more complicated. The wait was somewhat long, and the people working the host stand seemed a little confused, but once we sat down, it got better. We got our pickles and cole slaw(did I mention those already? Sorry, I’m obsessed). I ordered an omelette(huge) with home fries and an «everything» bagel. I loved mine. My husband had eggs and ham steak with a poppy seed bagel. He claims his eggs and ham were comparable with any other breakfast place, but we both agreed the bagels were top-notch. Breakfast was a little pricey at $ 30 for two meals and a soda. If you’re looking for a traditional deli-style restaurant in pine rest, look no further. We will definitely go back for lunch when I get a hankering for another French dip… and pickles.

Came to this restaurant on a random afternoon. The place was jam packed with people but the wait for a table took literally 5 seconds to prepare. We were immediately served pickles and coleslaw(yes Kosher pickles! Say whaaaat?). Onto the actual food My friend swore by their matzo ball soup. Luckily we shared one soup cause I wasn’t a fan. I don’t consider myself a soup person so my rating wont put into account the soup just to be fair. I completely forgot what I had ordered, but it seriously gave me a food coma. It was french toast, with turkey and friend macaroni & cheese balls. I loved how it also came with syrup on the side, so you can choose exactly how gluttonous you want to be for the day. I suppose I don’t remember the name because it would forever be renamed as heart attack on a dish. Did it break my diet for the rest of the month? Yes. Do I regret it? No, not with the first bite nor the last!!! I can’t wait to come back so I can try something new!

A very good rendition of a New York style Deli in both food and atmosphere. The pickles are generous, the sandwiches huge and the dining room chaotic, packed and featuring waitstaff rushin’ to and fro laden with platters. Let’s back up. First, the food: it takes like it should. Since the demise of the many great Wolfie Cohen delis here in South Florida, there have been far less options for unpretentious, hearty and old-school items like boiled beef tounge, pastramis on rye, potato latkes, et. all. Roasters ‘n Toasters fits the bill. The combination Pastrami and Cornbeef Reuben is great. The meats are spiced and aged perfectly and have a distinct ‘tang’. They are on real rye, which is toasted. The slaw is creamy, and they use Russian dressing on the sandwich — as they should. I will say, that it’s absurdly large and I couldn’t even come close to eating it in a single sitting. A side effect of this generous portion is that the sandwich is so thick, that eventually I had to give up trying to eat it without a fork. Likewise, the beef tongue is tender and melts in your mouth. The pickles are free and part of the table service, and they will happily provide you with either the large sour pickles or the smaller sweet dill pickles. Also, they’re pretty cool about packing-up your pickles to take with you at the end of the meal. Also enjoyable is their potato latke pancakes, although they have a bit of a ‘doughy’ soft interior rather than being denser and crispier all the way through like we’ve had at some other places(not in South Florida). My wife’s hazelnut stuffed French Toast was also good. It was generous with the hazelnut spread — and the bread itself was good quality. Like all the really good delicatessen’s I’ve visited, the interior is basic and the service no nonsense. In this way, if you were a fan of Rascal House or Wolfie’s — or Katz’s deli in New York — that deli vibe should be immediately familiar. Highly Recommended.
