Kenmore Liquor and Wine

I went there few months ago just looking for bottle 2 letter drink and went inside saw this indian guy who made you feel so uncomfortable and unwanted and whole time I was there he was talking on phone in his native language so loud. It’s so rude didn’t even offered help. And didn’t bother I left from there without buying, good luck selling stuff.

I was happy to see this location being converted into a liquor store. The happiness changed when I walked inside and felt uncomfortable with all of the dirty looks I received.
I have never felt so unwanted inside of a business before. This place is owned by a family whom originated in the country of India. I don’t get it… If you are going to stare at and give dirty looks to your customers what is the incentive for them to return?
I’ve been back a handful of times due to the convenience of it being close to my home and each time there’s old men sitting behind the counter. I feel like I’m a member of the Klu Klux Klan since I feel like tar and feathering those rude old jerks! I confronted the old man by asking why he is staring at me with such disgust on his face. He claimed to not know what I was saying and then proceeded to talk in gibberish to another one of the seven family members behind the counter.
To update the previous reviewers rant they now have a sign clearly posted that they do not refunds at all.
I prefer to go elsewhere where I feel my business is appreciated.

On Saint Patrick’s Day I was looking for the items needed for a Grasshopper Pie. I visited Kenmore Liquor and Wine for the first time. They only had one item I needed and I purchased it. However, when I went out to the car my husband questioned whether this was a good idea since I didn’t really have a way to get the other item and we generally do not drink. Well he was right and so I went back in the store… perhaps 2 minutes later. I was informed they don’t do returns… in fact the young lady there informed me that she didn’t care about what I had to say or the circumstances she would never return anything for me. I was upset, but mostly because there was no indication at all in the store that they don’t do returns. Not even on my receipt. I suffer from agoraphobia and do fairly well (under treatment), however, as the conversation increased I started suffering from panic attack symptoms. Things did not go well after that since the cashier just thought I was being «weird» and «combative». The cops came and I was asked to leave and not come back. I did a complaint to the State Attorney General concerning the lack of return exchange information and they have not received any response. You see I could forgive a single employee for having poor customer service skills. But apparently the store practices themselves involve at least some element of fraudulent mindset if they won’t even respond to the Attorney General. The purchase was $ 20 and I believe the situation may have been handled better. I have lived in this area for over 8 years and have never had difficulties like this before with any other merchant. In fact, I find the community well disposed to assist people with disabilities and find them usually quite compassionate and helpful when my symptoms show themselves. So in general I cannot say that this business is a «bad» one really as I cannot make them totally responsible for the fact that I have a disability, however, I believe that notification of their return and exchange policy could be better done. And perhaps a caution to others with «non-​physical» disabilities… they may not be aware of and able to offer service in a positive way here.
