I stopped by for as late lunch so it was quiet. It was really easy to get to from the highway. Clam chowder and roll were good, but the knockout was the croissant. Best I’ve ever tasted. There is public parking right outside so it’s a plus.

So, this place is fantastic. An adorable interior with a communal table as well as comfy chair seating, tea/coffee, and delicious French pastries — what more could you want? They’re also very accommodating and will take pastry orders for the next day if they are currently out of certain items(which they sadly were when my family walked in today after 12pm). Today I enjoyed a chicken meat pie pasty and a bite of my mother’s seasalt fougasse(only a bite because she claimed the rest of it!). I’m excited to grab one of my own tomorrow, as well as a pain au chocolat.

Worst bakery in Kennebunk. We ordered a gross pizza(Ham, Cheese and Sausage) and beef pie pastry(Beef & Ale). The gluten free pizza wasn’t warm. The tap water cost $ 2.50 and tasted horrible. The place was dreary and the food selection was minimum. I guess the people that rated this place were friends or family. Will never come here again. Don’t buy from this place. Prices are outrageous for the product quality.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The café has a cute seating area in the front to enjoy a perfect summer day. Business must’ve been brisk earlier because they were out of all their bread except for the levain batard and only had a select offering of pastries left as well. Since this was my first time in, I asked for the ingredients of their brownie(so I can guage whether it was worth getting) and ended up getting a description of the batard from the baker himself(which he was happy to do). We got both the levain batard and the brownie. Both were delicious and we regretted not getting more of the brownie. The smell of the bread reminded me of my beloved country loaf from Tartine in SF. The crust was nice and chewy and the interior spongy and soft. The brownie had a thin gentle crust and a rich, moist interior with quality chocolate and the best part, the perfect amount of sweetness(not much). Boulangerie is indeed a proper bakery. If it was located in the Boston area, it would be my go to bakery(yes, over Flour) but alas it will have to be a destination bakery for my visits to Kennebunkport.

Best Bakery ever:-) I could sit here all day drinking coffee and grazing on high quality, freshly baked croissants, morning buns and then lunch on the delicious meat pies! Outstanding coffee too. A real gem.

GAWD. The apple and blueberry stuffed pastries? I’m drooling as I think of them. There isn’t a thing here that I allow to fall into the«mediocre» category. Breads, phyllo pastries, etc., is all just spectacular. The patio is great on a brisk morning with some coffee. If your sweet tooth is nagging you — this is the place to go in Kennebunk, to be sure.

Friendly casual bakery with best buttery croissants, Coffee rolls and Danish the size of elephants ears. Coffee is fresh and bold flavored. A definite return visit

Man this place is just what Kennebunk needs to put it on the culinary map! I categorized this joint also as a «French restaurant». That was a lie, please do note. I just want to draw attention to the fact that this joint serves real French pastries, like you might get in a bakery, like, in France and stuff. Wow, they call themselves«Boulangerie», that’s French for bakery, right? Or maybe French for«bread joint», what do I know? So, you can get croissants these days at Dunkin D’s, right, so what’s the big deal? Well, here the big deal is that their croissants are really wicked awesome good. And they serve palmiers!!! My heart melts, I am Anton Ego flipping back in his brains as he scoops up that first forkful of ratatouille. They have fougasse, their brioche is yeasty, warm, and sweet! Wow, one more reason to move to Kennebunk, safest town in Maine!
