Get Real Bread, Maine! This bread is great; not made with Southwest Wind and Sawdust! Only the finest ingredients and craftsmanship goes into each loaf. A better bread can not be found anywhere. This bread is probably served in heaven.

Best bread I have ever eaten. I visit Maine several times each year and I always pack my carryon with the bread when I head home. They are not a full service restaurant as some comments seem to expect. Their forte is bread. Try the bread, unsliced is best!

The best blueberry muffins I have ever had. I order some for every year when I come to Maine. They use fresh and wild blueberries from Maine and the muffins have a different texture than any other muffin I have had with makes them amazing

I can’t even begin to explain what a disappointment borrealis breads was today. Number one, their menu SUCKS. They have about 5 sandwich selections and don’t even have oil and vinegar. I got the chicken salad sandwich and so did my brother and best friend. With two drinks and two sandwiches me and my brothers total was 24 dollars. WTF. Also all three of us felt very sick after eating the sandwich and shit our brains out.

Used to come every year when I was younger for crusty bread and scampi butter to eat with my family on the beach. Went today and got an Italian loaf, nice crusty outside with soft airy inside, with nice sourdough flavor. They were out of scampie butter to my horror. We got the roasted garlic butter, which is really good, nice chunks of roasted garlic in the creamy butter, very good flavor. We brought it to the beach and ripped off chunks of the bread to slide into the butter, sooo good!

Bad coffee and people who run it are rude. I walked out after witnessing the workers act snippy to my girlfriend and several other customers in front of me.

Their breads are decent but their desserts are pretty lousy. Muffins taste like bread. Cookies are just not good. This is NOT a dessert bakery.

Stopped in for lunch on the way back to Kennebunkport. We are big bread people and love our carbs. We had some tasty sandwiches and needless to say the breads on our sandwiches were outstanding. If we lived locally we would have dropped some nice coin on this place. The service at the beginning was a little rough because there was an issue with the register but it improved.

I’m generally a fan of this place, but the blueberry pie was not very good.

Very personable staff. Bread was best feature of lunch. Sandwich was fine, but soup was overspiced.

We come to the area every year for vacation, and this is our favorite place to come for lunch! The bread, sandwiches, and treats are delicious… and the service is always friendly. The only downside is that there are only two tables. Not being from the area — we came to sit down and eat, but both tables were full — so we had to take our food and park somewhere to eat it.

Ditto to what Andrea said-they make some of the best bread I’ve had(and that says a lot coming from someone who lived near the King Arthur Flour company’s bakery/main store for over 4 years)! I particularly love their apple-cranberry bread, but really, I’ve liked just about everything I’ve tried there. It’s right on Route 1, and if you’re going to be stuck on Route 1 traffic anyway(ah, the lovely crawl…), won’t it be so much better if you have tasty bread in the car?

They make delicious bread and it’s always fresh. The bake it up early in the morning and throughout the day. Go Go Borealis breads!
