My first visit to Pedro’s resulting in an excitement to return. I had oyster tacos with at least three oysters in each and extremely tasty. The black beans and rice were especially tasty too so much to my disappointment my recent visit was less than exciting. Shrimp tacos, haha, there was maybe one shrimp in each, it was actually cut up into small pieces, and it smelled«fishy» upon arrival. Should of just sent it back. Never had a shrimp dish where the shrimp was cut up into tiny pieces. This was far from special. Huge bummer, and the beans tasted like they were right out of the can and the rice was cold.

Didn’t ever think we would be eating mexican in Kennebunk on the day before New Years… but so glad we did. Good food, great drinks and service.

Not a good place for lunch. There is no lunch menu or lunch specials. Place was nearly empty when we went(albeit off season). Ordered a veggie taco, and had to pay extra for a tiny serving of rice and beans — $ 12.50 for very little food. The veggie taco was very bland, but had an overpowering sour taste, like they added chopped pickles or vinegar but skipped any Mexican spices — very strange. Friend order the flautas, which were better than the taco, but nothing outstanding. Service was fine. We went during January, and place was not well heated. We kept our coats on. Lunch at Davids or at Pedros sister restaurants, Pier 77 or the Ramp is far superior, with warmer atmosphere and at similiar price. Might return in summer when we can sit on deck and order drinks and chips/salsa but would not return for lunch.

Went on a day in December for lunch. Only a few people were at the bar and a couple tables. I say this because the bartender and 1 server were running around as if the place were packed. Our server seemed like she couldn’t wait to get away from us. After dropping waters, and not saying hi, she immediately left the table and ran back into the kitchen. This theme continued throughout the meal. We may have that effect on people but I’d like to think we’re friendly and approachable people. The food was great. We ordered the queso fundido(bad idea for only 2 people) to start. Great house made chips and delicious baked cheese and meat. We both felt some salsa fresca would have been a good accompaniment. That should have been the entire meal for us but no. I had the fish tacos. Outstanding. Grilled mahi mahi, pickled slaw on corn tortillas. I judge a place on what type of tortilla they serve and I’m glad Pedros chose wisely. My wife had the barbacoa burrito. She felt the it was heavy on the«american bbq» flavor as opposed to the traditional Mexican and Caribbean barbacoa shes had in the past. Either way it was delicious(I had a bite or 4). The Pomelo Fresco she had was«amazing», props to the bartender. Overall we had a good experience. I prefer more attentive service where the guest is the focus, not getting back into the kitchen but the food and drinks made up for it.

No matter what part of the country we’re in, my wife & often seek out the local Mexican restaurant as it is one of our favorite kinds of food. What a pleasant surprise for us to stumble into Pedro’s for lunch. The place was packed, but the hostess managed to find us a rustic little table for two. The salsa & chips that we began with were perfect… lightly fried delicate chips with a wonderfully flavored salsa.(I LOVE salsa, and I’ve tried hundreds of them over the years, and Pedro’s is easily one of my top five favorites). It was a great start to an even better meal. Since it was just 12:00(breakfast OR lunch time for us) we were pleased to hear from our lovely waitress about a special being offered that day, sort of a breakfasty-lunch that included a skillet stuffed with seasoned rice & black beans, and topped with salsa, sour cream, two eggs(cooked to our liking) and topped with a slice of fried avocado, and two grilled flour tortillas on the side. It was absolutely delicious, and our only frustration was that it was much more food than either of us could finish! We only had coffee & soft drinks with our meals which were standard fare(perfectly fine), but we did notice a lot of people imbibing on the nice selection of craft beers that were available. They also have a healthy selection of specialty margaritas to choose from if that’s what you’re into. All I have to say is that the service here was great, the salsa is excellent, and the entrée’s that we tried were fantastic! Pedro’s is now going to be on our ‘Must-stop-&-eat’ list whenever we are in the Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport area.

I really liked this place. I know that a lot of people do, too, including anyone we have ever taken there.

Pedro’s is a fun place to go. The décor was very festive and service was very friendly. The patio looked like a great place to sit and chill out on a warm summer night. Now the food, bland, bland, bland. Not sure if they ever heard of spices? I got a beef burrito and my wife got the quesadilla. They looked nice on the plate, but both had no flavor. It’s a great place if you have an ulster or sensitive stomach.

The atmosphere was great! A little surprised no free chips and salsa but food was top notch! We ordered the chicken tinga tacos, my wife ordered hers with no dairy and she still really enjoyed them!

Pedro’s is a must for dinner while staying in Kennebunkport. My husband and I split their pork nachos and they were incredible! The bartender was extremely attentive to all of our needs. Great atmosphere!

Not a good night for Pedro’s. Sangria was tasteless both white and red. Asked for plain queso dip. Not available. The only one had chorizo in it. When it finally came the cheese and chorizo was floating in a red oily mess. Ground beef taco wasn’t tasty either. The salsa and chips were best part of meal. Server was not helpful and wouldn’t even ask about the plain cheese dip. Didn’t notice we did not eat the queso with chorizo. Definite not a real Mexican restaurant. Wouldn’t ever go back.

We are from Texas. The food is really four star, but the service is three. Not enough staff for a Saturday lunch and late lunch. We wanted outside patio seating because we had a dog with us. Told us 20 minutes. Okay. No one was cleaning tables except the hostess who could not do it all inside and outside too. Not sure if the bus boy did not show up or what. Great drinks– the strawberry infused tequila margarita was fabulous. The guacamole was great. The salsa was just okay if you like roasted tomatoe flavor salsa. Being from Texas we like heat and flavor from jalapeño and Serrano. The nachos come in an iron skillet great idea and good cheese melted on bottom. Tacos good — pork beef and fish! Waitress was good. Just needed more staff for other areas.

Took my family of 5 here(two adults, three young kids) with another family of four(two adults and two young kids). It is summer and it was packed. There was live music playing on the deck and it was definitely loud in the whole restaurant until they stopped playing. Fortunately, they take reservations for parties over 6, so we only waited for a few minutes to sit down. I was surprised by the amount of people that stared at us while we walked in with a stroller… not sure why when we saw plenty of families in there. The ambience is definitely more a Mexican cantina and bar feel. Not the feeling of a family type of Mexican restaurant. They do have a small kids menu. The waitress took our order, but it took forever to get chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice spicy after kick to it. The food came and it was definitely delicious. I ordered the large Gringo taco plate, which is basically the small taco plate of two tacos with rice and beans added. The ground beef definitely had a kick to it. After our meal, it took a while for the waitress to come to give us our check. There is an automatic 20% gratuity for parties over 8. Overall, great food and okay service.

Food was good but service stunk. Put a smile on your face honey. Looked like she was mad while serving us, I got the lobster quesadilla which was great but took a while to get here. Also music gives me a headache.

Pedro’s was ok. No one in my party was impressed by the quality of our drinks(we had margaritas and sangria), in fact they were quite watered down. Our food took about a half an hour to arrive, it was right around dinner time and busy. Not a problem, but any longer would be pushing it. I split the nachos with a friend, they were decent but really spicy– which wasn’t indicated by the menu at all. I’m not a huge fan of spice, and when it was unexpected it ruined it for me. Overall, the food is nothing special. Nothing personable about the staff. The bathroom was so poorly lit that I felt like I was going go get mugged, which is pretty impressive because it was a single person bathroom. Jokes aside, it was poorly lit by one ceiling bulb. Not impressed. Outdoor seating looked nice though.

The food was meh. I mean, it was sort of good, but nothing special. The one thing I did like was the outdoor patio. When we went, they had live music which gave it a fun atmosphere. For that factor alone, I’m giving this place three stars instead of two.

The boy and I came up to Kennebunk for my birthday, and instead of getting Seafood as one typically would in Maine, we got Mexican! Woohoo! Honestly, we had a great time and the atmosphere was busy and fun. We ordered the small Nachos, a few tacos, and a pitcher of Sangria. The food and the sangria was absolutely delicious and exactly what we wanted. I really enjoyed myself and recommend to other tourists who may want a break from the seafood :)

I really want to love this place. It is a really fun atmosphere prices are decent and food is pretty good. Maybe it is a bit to Americanized for my families taste. I guess it is Mexican in Maine.

Really, really good Mexican food– in Maine– believe it or not! Great festive atmosphere and fun décor. We started with the guacamole, which was above average.(I compare all to Rosa Mexicano, so I have unattainably high expectations). I had the Mexican Street Tacos for my main course, which were so good and fresh! A perfectly sized portion– not too big, not too small. My husband had the Enchiladas Verde, which he enjoyed. Great change of pace to all the seafood we’ve been eating in KenneB. Highly recommend this place!
