Have stayed at the Inn many times and have enjoyed scrumptious breakfasts every time and consistently excellent customer service. Most recently I had the lobster Benedict and YUM! Two enormous, buttery lobster claws on top of a delicious English muffin with silky sauce. Yes, yes, yes!

Wow! We mozied in to this superb joint for a quick bite at the bar and ended up lingering in awe of the fine amenities by the fire for a rather enjoyable two hours listening to sophisticated house music and dining on fresh oysters, wonderful Caesar salad, and the best foie gras I’ve ever had. The wine was perfectly chilled and the four scallops in bacon appetizer ordered as an entrée was so generous I could not finish them. My husband loved the French onion soup and he always gets dessert but splitting 5 appetizers was more than enough. He appreciated the complimentary amuse bouche truffles as he paid a rather steep bill but put down the pen saying he will be back! If you’ve got the money and want a sophisticated dining experience leave the kids at home and refinery go to the KPT Inns One Dock.

My fiancé and I have visited this area a few times but never had a chance to eat here. So when we had friends from out of town visit. It created the perfect opportunity. We sat inside since it’s still a bit chilly out. Atmosphere is comfy with the fireplace. Food was just okay but our server was awesome. We did feel bad for the table next to us. Their server seemed to have the«drops». He dropped a wine glass and it sprayed wine on two people at their table. Soon after, he was passing out dishes and knocked over a water glass which covered the same two guests. Not sure I would eat here again.

If your experience with One Dock Prime was before May 2016, I highly recommend you give it another shot. It’s under new ownership /executive chef direction and they totally revamped the menu. My husband and I dined at ODP on a Saturday evening and had an excellent experience. The ambiance was relaxing, our waitress was prompt, friendly and funny and the food was delicious & well executed. To start we split an order of the tuna tartar(very large portion size) as well as the jumbo prawns(and jumbo they were). My husband had a prime cut NY strip and ordered it «Pittsburgh style», and he was extremely pleased with it. I ordered scallops with a side of bacon risotto and I was left doing a happy dance in my seat(a quirk I have when I’m exited about my food). Absolutely give One Dock Prime a shot. I’m from Philly and likely won’t be back in town for a while, but it appears the new Executive Chef, David, has big plans for the place.

The food and atmosphere was lovely and the music was fantastic. But our waiter need to bathe. Whenever he came to our table I had to hold my breath. Honestly it was bad even my husband noticed the odor.

I don’t know why it took us so long to go to One Dock but I’m thrilled that we decided to check it out. We went in March(they are open year round) so it was slow there and the ambiance and service were both perfect. Good enough wine list and fairly priced. For apps we had the buffalo cauliflower and it was really good, not too spicy. They split the beet salad for us with no issue and it was excellent. My wife had the salmon for her entrée and loved it. I had the filet and it was steak house good. For sides we had tater tots, brussel sprouts and mushrooms and they were all perfect. By far the best part of the evening was the dessert. Cast Iron Smores for Two was quite possibly the best dessert that we have ever had. We ate every bite and it was just delicious. We love a lot of the restaurants in Kennebunkport and while we understand that places can be hard to review in the busy season due to wait times and staffing issues we were lucky to enjoy One Dock with no issues whatsoever and we will absolutely return. It was one of our top five dining experiences here. We would return for the dessert alone!

We have been going to Kennebunkport for several years now as a way to gets some R&R now that the summer is over. We always stay and the Inn because the people are just so friendly and the Inn is charming. On our second night we decided the to One Dock Prime, a place we eat at every year. We have always found the food here to be very tasty, seasoned perfectly and well worth the $$. This year however was different. We met Larry, the chef, while having a cocktail and he told us all the changes the restaurant has gone through since last year. We were so excited to try the new menu. I had the filet mignon and this is my favorite cut of beef and Larry cooked it to perfection, honestly this was amongst the top 3 filets I have ever eaten. Not only was it cooked to perfection the cut of meat surpassed filets I have had at Ruth’s Cris or Peter Lugers. My wife had the rib eye and she too was all smiles eating this perfectly prepared steak. Great job to Larry and his crew. By the way, this year the Inn corrected a mistake I hope they never make again, they brought back the original mussels with blue cheese and bacon. We made sure to have one order of these every day we were there. One last thing, Larry, thanks for the grilled cheese that was truly special.

We ate here for my birthday dinner on 9÷13÷15. We had oysters, shrimp cocktail, and New York strip with broccoli and potato purée. Everything was flavorful and very fresh. The steak was perfectly cooked and was served with bordelaise sauce. For dessert we had the s’mores dip. It was heavenly. One Dock was an excellent choice for an elegant yet casual birthday dinner.

Went with my family last night. Sat out side as it was a lovely evening. It took twenty minutes for someone to take a drink order. The drink order came and was incorrect. We let it slide because we didn’t want to wait. When we finally ordered, they brought the appetizers out pretty quickly. The kids flat iron steak and mashed potato was a hit. I had the wedge which had a good blue cheese to bacon ratio. The tuna tar tar was not so good. Bland and nothing special. We then waited forty minutes for our entrees. The place wasn’t slammed but they probably needed two or three more people because the staff that was present had no clue. The NY Strip was well prepared. We also ordered the tater tots which were also pretty good. The best side by far were the brussel sprouts. Overall, the food was pretty good but the service was insufferable. When we finally received our check, the waiter brought it without a pen. Luckily there was one on the bar. Not going back any time soon. Would wait until they figure out staffing issues.

Very nice atmosphere but was disappointing in the kitchen. We were there recently with a family of 4. The place was filled about 70%. It took an hour just to get any food on the table. Then, the steak my husband ordered was not cooked to the right temperature and was difficult to cut due to a poor grade and a less than ideal steak knife. Our broccoli side was so soggy it looked like something my kid would make. Only saving grace was that my swordfish was cooked to perfection and the bread rolls were hot, crusty on the outside and soft in the inside. The manager on duty was nice enough to apologize and took off the steak and half off the rest of food. She said they had only been a steakhouse for 2.5 months! The kitchen clearly needs work.

You will enjoy the food here but you will be startled by the pricing! Oysters from Damariscotta(just up the coast) are $ 1 more each here than they are on Wall Street! Service was spotty, ambience elusive, and the meal process endless. We had an open table reservation but were relegated to what appeared to be lounge seating. An expensive disappointment – there are more rewarding choices in this town.

I was staying at the Kennebunkport Inn a few weeks ago, and stopped by the One Dock restaurant during my stay. I was BLOWNAWAY by the quality of the food, the ambiance of the restaurant, and the knowledge and service of the staff. I visited during happy hour and was fortunate enough to have a very pleasant conversation with the restaurant manger. I told him my general likes and dislikes and he recommended different dishes. The fried oysters were to die for! We also could not get enough of the brie dip appetizer. In addition, my guest and I also sampled some of the red wines available on the wine list, and were amazed by the reasonable prices of some VERYHIGHQUALITY wines. I cannot rate this restaurant, or my experience at One Dock high enough. It was easily one of my TOPDININGEXPERIENCES ever. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth stopping in! — EXCELLENTFOOD — fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented — KNOWLEDGEABLESTAFF — will make excellent recommendations — BEAUTIFULSETTING — clean and crisp dining area with a lovely view — REASONABLEPRICES — superb quality, good portion sizes A MUST!

AMAZING! Lazy lobster with truffle mac and cheese was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. My boyfriend had the short ribs and they melted in your mouth. We wanted to eat dinner here both nights we stayed in Kennebunkport. This is a must do– prices are totally reasonable for the quality of food.

Stayed at the Kennebunkport Inn and had happy hour at the bar(One Dock). $ 3 draught beers and half price cocktails! Great deal. Also ordered the brie cheese dip off the half priced small plates, it was pretty good! Definitely worth stopping here for happy hour drinks, although I know the food reviews are pretty mixed.

One dock is in the Kennebunkport inn. The inn is pretty the bar area is warm and comfortable. There was live music on the night we visited. The drinks were good. So why only two stars. It’s because we were hungry and the food was terrible and service needs improvement. We started with the Hanoi Rib they looked good and were well presented but they were fatty, grizzly and the sauce was too sweet with a burnt taste. Next we ordered the salad special. It was not bad but nothing I would go back for. The mac and cheese was beyond dry. Our issues with service was the bartender was chatting with what appeared to be friends for a considerable amount of time while we were waiting to put our order in.

My boyfriend and I came here when we were on a trip up for my birthday in the winter. We came here for dinner when they were having a valentines day price fix. I’m pretty sure it was one if the best meals I’ve ever had. For starters we got raw oysters and crab cakes to share. Both were amazing. It was the first time I had raw oysters and now I’m hooked. They were so fresh and flavorful. The crab cakes were also an A+ For entrée we both got the home made pasta with the lobster. It came with an entire picked lobster on top. so so good. Only complaint is a bunch of my noodles were sticking together.

Don’t bother — really Chef Ramsey ate here and loved it?! Must have been an entirely different kitchen staff. As for me — very disappointing. For starter ordered the Tempura Fried Oyster Salad — Oysters(3 pieces) were dry and shriveled — probably prepped and fried @2 pm — and dropped on the fresh greens — which were swimming in a vinaigrette that was so acidic that it must have contained the juice of one full lemon and a dash of olive oil. «Tempura Fried»!? I think not. Entrée just as poorly executed. Lobster pasta with homemade saffron fettuccine. Ugh — the pasta was a disaster. Even a home cook knows that homemade pasta needs to be very thin, partially dried and quickly dropped in boiling water moments before serving. Well these blobs of dough were thick, gooey and clumped together in may places. Yuck. And for that the pleasure of paying $ 36. I don’t mind the price — if it’s well executed — saffron’s expensive, lobster while plentiful is always priced at a premium — BUT — execute! PLEASE! Didn’t stay for dessert. Want a good lobster meal when staying in KPT? Go to Nunan’s in nearby Cape Porpoise — and roll-up your sleeves and enjoy! Want good fried seafood? Try The Ramp — whole belly clams — fresh, served hot!

Convenient location in Dock Square in the heart of wife opted for 2 starters… three ceviches which were reminicent of the crudos served at Esca in NYC and flavourful lobster cakes which could easily serve as an entrée. I thoroughly enjoyed the mussels steamed in an addicting sauce. The winner of the evening was an encrusted halibut surrounded by potato gnocchi further enhanced by a butter sauce. Gordy our waiter was ever present without being intrusive. The lemon cheese tart and cappucino provided a perfect finish… the ambience was soothing & romantic… perfect spot to propose, celebrate an anniversary, etc. Will return.

Stayed in Kennebunkport in August and had an awesome meal here! I am still dreaming about the mussels. mussels with applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese crème, and served with the most perfectly charred bread for soaking up all that goodness. It was outstanding. we sat outside– it has a nice view of the Kennebunkport village-. we also had the special salad– which was nothing fancy. but the mussels! I had the salmon as my main– which was also very good.

Where to begin. If you haven’t been here the service is second to none. I proposed to my fiancée here last year(at the Inn, not the restaurant) and we just returned for dinner. I would highly recommend starting off with a cocktail in the bar. I had a Manhattan and me lady had an old fashioned. The drinks are not small and if you’re a bourbon fan like myself, the Manhattan won’t disappoint. We had dinner in the new dining room. We had the mussels and carpaccio to start. Both were unreal, mussels were served with bacon, onions and cream… we ended up sopping the sauce up with our bread. We split the lobster fettuccine for our main. Wow, outstanding. You can definitely over cook lobster and this was done perfectly. The dish wasn’t even heavy. We finished with some sorbets which were totally freezer burned but at that point in the meal we didn’t care. Cheers!
