When I bought my house the company who installed the heating and air system wouldn’t sign off on it, so the seller hired Calcote’s to do that — they came and did about $ 1200 worth of work and signed that all was in working order — that was June 2013. In November 2013 when the heater didn’t work I called them and they said it was probably the thermostat that was broken and a visit would be $ 200 to replace it. I waited until the weather got really bad in January 2014(barely six months later) and they came out and for $ 397 said it was set to the wrong level and rewired it. Only it blew out the electrical because a) they wired it wrong, and b) they didn’t follow the instructions that were sitting on the unit itself. They then told me that it would take $ 1200 to fix the problem. So far my real estate agent at Tommy Crane has tried to resolve the issue with them but they refuse to see how this is their problem. So I’m here to tell you — don’t use them. What good was the sign off when I purchased the house if a few months later the system didn’t work and they charge me not only to come out and«fix» it but I had to pay a reputable service to do that and still haven’t seen any reconciliation from this company. Bad news.
