Waited in the lobby for someone to take our order. Called over to one of the cooks and politely said hello. He looked directly at us and ignored us. We also watched another guest walk out while we were standing there. I called the manager to let him know. He said he was in the office doing paperwork. I felt he deserved to know what his employees do when he’s not present. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere and will not be returning to this Krystal location again.

Hate leaving one star, but I gave this place two tries. Dinner the other night was nice pulling in the parking lot and seeing an employee with his pants at his knees. My cheeseburger was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The chicks were ok though. The fries were burnt and had way too much salt. Went back for one of my all time favorites for breakfast, the sunriser. They pulled me forward while they cooked eggs. The eggs were tiny piles of scrambled eggs they use in the scramblers, rather than the usual. The buns were pretty hard, and the sausage patties were so overcooked they were almost flavorless. I could barely eat them. I love Krystal, and was excited to see one side we don’t have them on my side of the state. Sadly, I won’t be returning to this one. I should’ve trusted the previous reviews.

Gross — edible, but gross. This is a tad under White Castle quality, and that is saying something. The buns were dry, and the hamburger meat had an odd taste to it – maybe it wasn’t very fresh. The fries were old and limp — nobody likes old and limp! I probably shouldn’t have to ask for fresh hot fries, but they served the older ones anyway. My friend ordered«plain» hamburgers — just meat and bun. Apparently, they screwed that up as well. To top it off, we had to ask for fries with our meals because they couldn’t be bothered to serve them with the burgers. 4 tiny burgers with cheese, medium fries and medium drink for about $ 6.50 or so. I won’t be back, but I can at least tell others of my experience and let them judge this review as appropriate.

The location clearly had their hours listed as being open 24 hours. I drove up to the drive through to order, and sat there for about 3 minutes with no response. Then, drove around to see 1 employee sleeping at a table. As I looked closer there were 2 employees in the kitchen chatting. So I decided to give the drive through another try. However again no response. Next, I dialed the restaurant. I’m not sure why I thought they might actually pick up the phone. What a joke! I give this place one star because I have to in order to leave a review!

Untidy dining area and front counter. Not enough employees working. No one working front counter actually until manager came up. He apologized to the people in front of me who had to wait to be acknowledged, and took their order then mine. Took them about 10 minutes to make my order, which was the 3 mini chiks combo. Not too bad. The person that brought my food to my table was pleasant. She apologized for having to wait. One employee was standing out front smoking a cigarette. Digital menu board was not working, so they had black and white poor copies of a menu to use. I probably would stick with the standard Krystal Burger next time and not the mini chicken sandwiches«Chiks».

As much as I absolutely love Krystal burgers, it really pains me to leave so bad a review for this location. My family and I went to this location about a month ago. It was close to the airport so we decided to stop and pick up a sack for the long ride home. It was just about 11 am when we pulled into the drive thru and they informed us that they were switching over from breakfast to lunch. This was fine with us, as we wanted burgers. We figured this way the burgers would definitely be fresh. When we attempted to order at the speaker, we ran into some problems. The employee’s spoken English was so poor we could not understand her through the speaker. We pulled around and placed our order at the window, where we really couldn’t understand her much better. We got a sack of 12, 3 with cheese. My dad, who was driving, had barely received my change before she yelled«Suh, you gotsta pull up!» and slammed the window shut. The location was not busy and as we wanted to request extra ketchup and mustard be put in our bag, we did not pull up. After about 5 minutes she came back to the window and bellowed«You needsta pull up NOW!». My dad calmly requested extra ketchup and mustard, which she acknowledge, before advancing to where she had so rudely demanded we place the car. We waited almost another 10 minutes before another employee came out, tossed the bag into the car window and ran back inside. We began our drive back to Baton Rouge, tired and hungry from our flight. When I opened the bag we were already on the interstate, and I immediately noticed there were no mustard packets and only a scant few ketchup ones. Whether this was just forgetfulness or the rude cashier’s revenge for not instantly obeying her order to pull up, I do not know. Still hungry, we decided to dig into the burgers anyway. Since they had just switched to breakfast and we had waited over 15 minutes for these burgers, they assuredly had to be fresh… right? Wrong. The majority of them were fairly cold and dry, and the buns did not have that delicious steamed-in onion taste to them so characteristic of a delicious Krystal burger. The 3 with cheese were somewhat warmer, though the buns were in a similar condition. I’m almost positive these burgers were left over from the night before and briefly warmed before being pawned off on us. I can only assume the cheese had been melted on the cheese ones and that’s why they were warmer. As far as what the employees were actually doing for the 15 minutes it took us to get the burgers, I haven’t got a clue. Significantly disappointed with this meal at one of my favorite restaurant chains, I kept my receipt and resolved to contact their corporate office when I got home. This I did, adding in my order number, date and time and giving a similar version of the above account on their online form. They still to this day have not contacted me with so much as an apology for how we were treated and the poor food we received. It’s an apathy toward customers like this that has made it so I haven’t eaten at a taco bell in 5 years, and I’m quite certain I won’t come back to this Krystal location. It’s worth the drive to the one in Slidell where the employees are always friendly and the burgers are always fresh.

Love the burgers, so glad to see them here in Kenner. Just opened, so there’s growing pains – just check your orders before you leave and be patient. You know how it is around here when there’s a new restaurant, it gets packed every day. The food was classic Krystal – tasty little burgers, and the crispy waffle fries. I tried the Buffalo chicken wings – I was thrown off a bit when they didn’t have sauce on them, but they’re dry rub wings. The jury is still out on that one.
