The food was quite good(fried chicken and stuffed bell pepper). Our server Jo was incredibly nice. Definitely a place I would eat again.

First restaurant we ate at this trip to NOLA. We had the grilled snapper and calamari and it was great. Other people with us got the meatloaf and sandwiches and they looked pretty awesome too. The service was excellent– our waitress very nice and attentive. Everything was great.

Perfect dinner out in NOLA! Our waiter Donald suggested the chargrilled oysters in addition to the dozen raw oysters we ordered and the special was blackened redfish with bbq shrimp and some kind of rich, amazing sauce straight from heaven! We will definitely be back!!!

Had the best grilled chicken salad I ever had last night. Plenty of chicken and the dressing was wonderful. I going to have to remember this hot spot. I had my order to go. The place was neat and the staff friendly. I felt welcome and surprised at the ease of getting in and out. I look forward to coming back.

My hubby and I came here for dinner. It was really good. The hamburger poboy was delicious. My hubby ordered the ribeye and he said it was delicious too. Both the service and price was good. I will definitely return. The coconut martini was delicious too.

Four stars for the Fried Chicken alone! Southern standards are done very well — fried shrimp, fried catfish, cornbread, red beans and rice, etc. Solid wait staff.

The service was good the food was fair –first time we have gone there. Would we visit again? No. Had chicken parmesan and gumbo and two beers. Limited beers on tap I think 5-my husband was good but the chicken in the parm was good, the sauce was bland. Skimpy with garlic bread. This area is the food epicenter of the universe and we can cross this off the bucket list

Really on the fence with this review. could have gone either way…2 or 4. The«bad» .was the seafood gumbo. If you have gumbo written in neon in the NOLA burbs it should be much better. The grilled pork chop was grilled on a dirty grill. under the charcoal spec’s was a tender juicy large chop. The white beans and rice were great. so was the cornbread. judging from the other portions reviews and plates I saw coming out I’ll be back. probably for the fried chicken or Po-boy.

The food is great and the service is great. The only thing is it’s kind of pricey. I had an entrée and two beers and my meal was over $ 30. If the price was about 5 – 7 bucks less I would eat their more.

Mr. Ed’s in Kenner, Louisiana has a nice, yet simple exterior, and a clean, neat, and attractive interior. The wait staff are professional and friendly. My friends shared a Super Seafood Platter($ 21.95), which came with salad, fries, oysters, shrimp, catfish, stuffed crab, and toast. I had the ½ & ½ Catfish & Shrimp Dinner($ 16.95). We were pleased that the portions were generous and the batter not greasy, but we thought the batter was rather bland and could have been better spiced. We scored it a «C+/B-». Now, for those who would prefer a low-seasoned batter, this might be considered exceptional for them. RJT

I was super excited about trying this restaurant, but was highly disappointed. Although their wait staff were very nice the food was awful. I read that they had the best fried chicken in the New Orleans metro area so I had been dying to try. We ordered the gumbo as an appetizer. It was edible. Nothing I’d ever want again. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with fries. The fried chicken was awful. Greasy was an understatement. Also, it didn’t have any flavor. I was shocked at how bad it was. My husband had their shrimp and catfish plate with fries. All I can saw is EW! The catfish wasn’t fresh. It tasted like iodine. As if it were old and frozen. The shrimp tasted the same. On the plus size the fries and iced tea weren’t awful. This place is beyond overrated and way over priced!

Sold four stars. I recommend a few dishes, and I can recommend a few dishes to not get. My favorites are: the talapia with lemon butter sauce, the spaghetti and meatballs, the tuna steak, and the red beans and rice. The white beans and rice are very bland, in my opinion. There is also another dish, I can’t remember the name, but it was a tuna that was served over a bed of garlic and tomato pasta. The tuna was good, the pasta, not so much, at all, in fact. Little by little I’m going down the list and trying more dishes. Service is always good. Great atmosphere, and good music.

I am always in this area and just decided to finally try out this location of Mr. Ed’s for the first time last month. I will say that I prefer this location to the original one near Buck Town. I find everything a lot nicer, newer, and much less cramped. The food is pretty traditional. everything from salads, sandwiches, veal parm, eggplant dishes, and other pasta dishes. The service was really good. the wait staff definitely are in sync with customers. everything comes out timely and they do go over quite a lot of available specials. Overall, the food is tasty. It isn’t fine dining, but it is a nice solid establishment to go to and the food is consistently good because we went back again the week after my first visit. They do have a nice selection of cocktails from the bar too that were quite good. as well.

Overpriced and underwhelmed. I brought the boss out for lunch in Kenner since his flight was delayed and it was pretty close. It wasn’t busy for lunch and seemed nice with the paper covered tables. We ordered pretty quickly and the food came out quickly enough, but there wasn’t enough shrimp on the po-boys. I’m not expecting crabby-jacks but for $ 11 the shrimp should reach the ends of the bread. I might try it again to see what the Italian dishes might have to offer, but I’ll probably forget about it before then.

I’m upgrading this restaurant after a second visit. The food was very good this time around. I think we just made poor menu choices last time. This go ’round we went with the fried chicken and the stuffed catfish. Both items were very good. The service was excellent — same as before! My boyfriend often wants to go here because it’s close to home(we are moving out of Kenner soon!!! woo!) and I’ve been reluctant since the first visit was just ok. After this visit, I’m a fan.

On my very first trip to NOLA I was craving fried chicken and my friend brought me here! The cornbread was delicious, the fried chicken was nice and crunchy and the portions were huge! We were seated right away and the service was great! We were able to ask our server for recommendations and I wasn’t disappointed. Since I’m from Chicago, I’ll never make it out here again, but thanks Mr Ed’s for my first NOLA meal!

I’m a big fan of this place. An intimate atmosphere and excellent service, paired with food that is certainly something to make an audible«mmm» over, makes it a keeper in my book. I particularly like the oyster po-boy here; always fresh and completely stuffed with those mini-bits of heaven… it’s great! If you find yourself in Kenna(bra), I would definitely recommend Mr. Ed’s to anyone looking for some southern Louisiana-style cuisine.

I feel like this place leaves a lot to be desired. The background music is terrible. It’s a little too dark. The garlic bread was completely boring and substandard as were the salads. The fried chicken was barely better than Popeye’s. BUT… My red beans and rice were really good and the sausage served on the side was flat out excellent. So you know, fair warning that you’ll probably have a mixed experience here.

Food is ok. prices are high and nothing stands out enough to return. They did renovate recently and the place is huge with a long bar. Seems to cater to château estates dwellers who dont like to leave kenner.
