The food was really good. I had the alligator sausage with greans. The mac and cheese was tasty as well. Put hot sauce on everything. My brother in law had the chicken wings. The food was better than Zatarains across the way.

I boyfriend and I brought our families to NOLA for the holiday weekend. We stopped to eat at the airport and actually ordered from Subway sandwich. The ice machine was broken and Subway staff had sent a couple of people next door to Praline for ice. My daughter wasn’t feeling well and I bought her some 7-up from Subway. I walked to the counter at Praline and asked nicely if I could have a little ice. The woman was so rude and so mean and told me if I paid her 55 cents I could have ice. I mentioned that the other patron’s who came over didn’t have to pay. She couldn’t care less. My boyfriend is a local(born and raised) and was embarrassed by her mean demeanor. I told her that she didn’t have to be so mean. she just nodded. Mean people suck. It was just ice.

Was in hurry to grab quick lunch at the airport and restaurant right opposite seemed like an optimal selection, however, there was a big queue and I did have a choice but to opt for PC. The service was quick, but the food was pricey. $ 14 for an entrée that was served on plastic. I ordered baked chicken with crowded peas. The chicken was very salty on the exterior and I particularly dos not like the peas. If you are not left with a choice at the airport, grab a muffin at this place. These are really big and should fill you up.

I asked the worker,“what’s good here?” She stared at me as if she were offended. I chose black eyed peas and macaroni and cheese, again asking if these were star menu items. She reassured me, «everything is good here.» The macaroni and cheese had the most awful burnt flavor… Maybe from the pan? Ew. I really wasn’t impressed.

Horrible excuse for breakfast! Biscuit was hard on top from the lights, had to add 2 little packets of salt and one of pepper to the eggs and grits to get any flavor at all. The Bacon was super thin limp soggy disgusting little strips that was also flavorless. Worst Breakfast experience I’ve had at any airport ever.

Not that I get to new Orleans airport that often, but I will never go back into this place. I had gumbo there and it had 2 pieces of sausage, 2 pieces of chicken and the rest was rice and terrible soup. It was NOT gumbo, have had better gumbo from a can. Not that I am a expert on gumbo, but if you are, I am sure you would disaprove. If I could rate it zero, I would, if I had time I would have asked to speak to a manager. Time was Thursday 0110pm. Just to say the service people had terrible personality. They must have been the owners the way they acted. Save your money or buy something else.

Very kind staff! Went out of their way, even after a long day, to make sure I was able to get my jambalaya fix before heading home from an awesome first time visiting New Orleans! A great end to a great weekend :)

Ugh… Where do I begin… Well being from NOLA I was so embarrassed by the impression this place gives guests. CONS Baby roach ran across counter. Staff RUDE, unprofessional, unfriendly Food looks like it has been sitting out for hours. Jambalaya does NOT have have Lima beans, corn and any other mixed vegetable. Additionally the sausage reminded me of jerky. Cornbread was dry and tasted like sand.

Not a bad choice for MSY which generally doesn’t have much in the way of hot food. Expensive but good sized portions. The red beans and sausage was not too bad and the smoked sausage was very good. Also came with excellent corn bread. I like the lunch counter style as you can pay and not have rely on a server to bring the check. I think their name works against them for travelers at an airport as people may not realize they serve a pretty good hot food selection.

Only 5 stars so we can see that their customer service is absolutely horrible. You can’t even get a ice water, they will give you a cup of ice then tell you to go across the airport to the water fountain in a rude tone with a smile! Tall skinny African lady with the black hair net is the worst! Seriously hope she is not a manager… Young Spanish gal, tried to help but was not allowed to give me water. Mind you I was choking on a piece of spicy sausage, and my wallet was with my boyfriend who was in the bathroom.

I would strongly recommend the shrimp po’ boy. The seasoning on the shrimp is outstanding. And i thought it was the best value option. They give you about $ 9 worth of shrimp on a $ 10 sandwich.

Pricey for the serving size but great food… I had macaroni and cheese with Salisbury steak and the signature Praline sauce very good

If you’re in a hurry — say at the airport to do something like catch a flight — avoid. Friendly-ish but mighty slow and incompetent. I hope someone enjoyed the poboy I paid for but couldn’t wait for…

On my recent flight I stopped in here since I didn’t have a ton of time before my flight. I ordered the jambalaya and a drink for 12.86. They give you a very large portion and a slab of corn bread to go along with. The price wasn’t too shabby for airport food. The food itself was underwhelming. Everything is precooked and sitting under a heat lamp. The jambalaya was like no other I had. It had sausage, corn, grean beans, lima beans, carrots, and celery in it. Huh? It was like someone started a vegetable soup and said to hell with it through in some rice and sausage. No chicken at all and the sausage was seriously dried up. With all that being said it wasn’t terrible just not that good either. The corn bread was really good. Moist and sweet. The service was friendly but next time I’ll get a 6 inch sammich from Subway next door and then wonder off to the bar until my flight arrives.

As noted in other reviews, this spot is a little hot food counter located next to a Subway in Terminal B. Not sure on the origin of the name or if they have sweets. Sampled the beef poboy, alligator sausage, greens and red beans & rice. Everything was pretty good. And having sampled the fare on other nearby airport spots I can say that this was the best place for this kind of food in the terminal. The sausage was spicy and could have been a pork sausage(it’s a blend we were told). The greens were really flavorful. My girlfriend can’t eat gluten and she was very pleased with all of the options on the menu that worked for her.

Needed to grab a quick bite before my flight. Opted for the red beans and rice + meat, and chose the alligator sausage. The red beans and rice was a tad bland, but the spicy alligator sausage made up for it. About $ 13 for a pretty filling lunch, which is about par for the course at at airport I suppose. Soft drinks only and shares seating space with the subway next to it.

Well… Two chicken wings, mac n cheese, greens and a bottle of water. 21.50. Only because Popeyes is closed and a lady that works at the airport said it was better than Zatarains kitchen. I should’ve gone there and got the salad. The mac and cheese must’ve been leftover from thanksgiving. Wait, leftovers are usually good. Let’s try last week. My fried chicken was very good. I can’t deny that! The greens needed a little flavor. Nothing a little hot sauce can’t fix. And the cornbread was cold. Like from the fridge. That’s all I have to say.

The Praline Connection Restraunt next to Subway, not the kiosk that just sells pralines, is my favorite place ro eat in the NOLA airport, I suggest the Catfish PoBoy with a side of red beans and rice. Solid!

A pleasant find while waiting on your flight in NOLA. I’ve been here a couple times now and have to say they haven’t let me down yet. How many airports do you know of that serve gator sausage, collard greens, green peas, and gumbo? It’s all good here at praline connection. They will even securely wrap up your meal so that you can enjoy it during your flight if you just ask. Place is just a simple hole in a wall but don’t let that fool you. Praline connection has the goods. Most of the meals are buffett style, the gator sausage was very good and cooked to order. Gumbo was excellent, loved that they give you plenty of meat and even leave in the claw. Pricing could be better, but so could most other restaurants in New Orleans. Check em out, nothing extravagant, just good comfort food with all your favorite flavors from the great city of New Orleans.

Really the only decent food option at MSY. I’ve eaten here a couple of times — The alligator sausage is very good — The chicken livers are decent — The okra is a little too soggy — The red beans and rice are a little bland — The bottles of Louisiana hot sauce are a godsend — The service is very friendly I thought I might suffer on my flight the first time after eating here, but no issues.
