Our trip to New Orleans was nothing short of amazing! Great food, charming architecture, and friendly people… Until we ordered from this Subway on our way to our flight home. The workers were all RUDERUDERUDE to everyone in line. No one was smiling(in fact they all looked like they were angry for some reason) and no one seemed to talk or interact with each other. They also slammed things around(sandwiches, salad bowls, etc), so much so that one of the salad lids flew over the other side of the sneeze guard that we had to catch it. If I were upper level management, I would fire every single person who was working there today(3⁄7) between 3pm-4pm and rehire a better team. Shame on you and your poor customer service! I would give you a negative star if that was possible.

I always love subway food but the service ruined this experience for me. The line took forever to get through. Once I got to the front of the line the servers literally said«is that all?» After I would tell them each thing I wanted on the sandwich… Me: I’ll take cheese please… And tomatoes“ Server: is that all? Me: um no… Spinach Server: is that all? Sounds funny … Then while im checking out the lady is telling her coworkers that she was supposed to be off and asking why she was still working!

The service was MUCH worse than any other Subway location I’ve been to. Other than that, this Subway was no better or worse than any other.

This was the worst Subway i had ever been to. The employees were so rude to the customers. If your upset about something, go take a break. Dont stand there an ask for my order and mumble under your breath fowl language. I had to repeat what I wanted 3 times, each time she started another conversation with another employee then asked, «what chu want»? R u kidding me! It was completely unprofessional. Whoever the manager is at this place really needs to train his employees better.

If you have a miserable life do something productive like put a bullet in your head don’t get a job at subway to take it out on everyone trying to order lunch. Will never visit this location again and will be contacting corporate.

Fast food gone wrong. It looks like the team behind the counter are all hating life and the fact they have to work. If this is the only place open you may want to go hungry

Pathetic excuse for customer service. The employees are too busy gossiping and on their phone. As if a sandwich is too complicated a task for them to accomplish. Don’t expect any respect or service… May as well bring your own food to this terminal…

This place is a zero for sure. The employees are very rude to customers and are not happy to help make your sandwich. Subway needs to change these employees. They need to be taught how to treat their customers the right way. Stay away from here!!!

My experience for breakfast was great. Fast through the line, good flat bread breakfast sandwich and hot coffee.

Grumpy workers here!!! Omg. So unpleasant. And they don’t listen. I asked for my sandwich to be wrapped in two halves separately. Easy. No… she cut it in quarters and wrapped it all together. Ugh…

OMG can you say cross contamination!!! I ordered a turkey on wheat. It is 9 so they assumed I wanted eggs. First she grabbed ham and I don’t eat pork. She immediately went to put it in microwave and I had to yell to stop her as I was getting lunch for on the plane. Then, while making the sandwich behind me, her bulky dirty sleeve kept rubbing against my sandwich! 3 people working, one starting, one finishing and one ringing folks up. Loooooong line and 3 other employees talking about their smoke break and not working. Hope that I don’t get food poisoning!

Obviously whoever runs this location only opened it and has never returned and is only concerned with the paycheck it bring in rather than running a successful business. I have traveled through the New Orleans airport monthly for over a year and this is the most overstaffed yet slowed and most incompetent store I have ever encountered. I’ve made a point to get food outside of security since there are extremely few options to get food in the B terminal of the NOLA airport and sadly this is one of them. They post the full selection of breads yet only carry regular Italian and maybe wheat if you are lucky. The breads are always over cooked, flat, with a nice burnt taste to them. They never stock their chip selection well and is it a constant barren wasteland with only a few option laying around. They often run out of the ingredients so I’ve had to order something I don’t want just because i was so hungry and there was no other option in the terminal. Another time after wasting 10 minutes in line I just left after they were out the bread and topping I wanted. Of course the idiot working behind the counter couldn’t tell me that all at once and told me one ingredient at a time as we moved down the line and I repeated myself many times. Now the food here is bad, but the service makes the food look like it is from a 5 star restaurant. Every time there are about 4 employees behind the counter that are slow as time when a kid is waiting for Christmas morning. They are not at all interested in helping customers or getting orders correct. They are too busy being obnoxious joking around with each other behind the counter while the line grows 10 people deep and we have been waiting for 10 minutes just to get the first rude encounter. They couldn’t speak clearly enough to understand the first time to save their life and they act like customers are getting in their way and bothering them for placing their orders. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone behind the counter that looks over 20 so again, there is no supervision at this place. I really wish they would shut this place down and open up some place with good food and good service. Lord knows this terminal is way over due for a good place to eat.

Should concentrate their energy on good customer service, not maintaining bad attitudes. Just do your job, give me my sandwich, give me a smile and we’ll leave it at that.

What horrible service! Obviously I don’t expect the five star treatment when eating at an airport Subway, but this is ridiculous. The place is overstaffed yet still managed to have the slowest service of any Subway I’ve been to. Despite having four people managing the sandwich line(or possible because of it), they managed to completely mess up the order in which the sandwiches were ordered and toasted. My sandwich ended up being toasted twice, which made the bread adhere to the paper. The person in front of me ordered a pizza, and the first worker in line went ahead and made it without asking her what toppings she wanted. When the customer was shown the pizza and asked why she wasn’t given any toppings, all the people behind the counter started railing about how this was all her(the customer’s) fault. While the person behind me was having her sandwich made, one of the workers accidentally put her elbow right inside it. What ensued was a long drawn out discussion among the rest of the workers as to whether or not the sandwich had to be remade. How is that even a question? Finally there were two people managing the single working register, which you might think would make the check out process go faster, except that rather than serving customers they spent the entire time gossiping with each other(mostly about the poor woman earlier who dared ask for toppings on her pizza). Get your food somewhere else. This place does not deserve your time or your money.

Like any Subway except much SLOWER. I know things happen slower in New Orleans but this is sad. They have two prep areas but was using only one. The worst part is I’m concerned about cleanliness. In the unused prep area that still had open food bins was stacks of money and a container of money. I used to work in fast food and know that money in the food prep area is a big health department no no. See photo.

If I could give this Subway 0 stars, I would. My expectations for service at airport venues are minuscule. This experience just blew even those into smithereens. There was a constant stream of customers on this fine morning, but not slammed. Good thing, because all 4 of the women«working» couldn’t give a shit less. They spent the entire time gossiping, joking?(«See this knife in my hand?!» — one employee to another), and discussing what they were wearing later on that day — sundresses apparently. They then made racial jokes amongst one another(1 Caucasian, 3 African American) like it was no big deal. It was as if the customers weren’t even there. When it was my turn to place my order, I had to repeat myself 3 times because Cheryl had the attention span of a gnat when it came to listening to her customers. The gossip definitely took precedence. After my sandwich was toasted, I moved on to the next lady(couldn’t tell you anyone else’s name because Cheryl was the only one who decided to show up to work with a name tag on today) and basically had a similar experience. I explained to her 2x times: «lettuce, onions, mayo». Simple, right? When she still reached in the tomatoes I was yelling«Nooooooo tomatoes!!! Lettuce, onions, mayo!!» She still asked me what I wanted on my sandwich after. She has GOT to be special needs. There’s no other excuse. When I got to the register and another employee, I got the whole teeth sucking, eye rolling treatment as if I was inconveniencing HER by purchasing food. I think it’s about time she found a new profession/industry, but I digress… I told her my order, a steak and cheese. Then repeated after getting a blank stare(hell, it seems everyone needs at least 2 prompts here anyway). «Is that a breakfast sandwich?» Ummmm… No. «I mean, did it have egg on it?» No! She looked back at the woman who just put my toppings on like she didn’t believe me. Toppings Lady just shrugged because she didn’t even remember what sandwich I had from 5 seconds ago!!! After paying for my food, taking a deep breath, and finding a seat to «enjoy» the worst Subway sandwich I’ve ever had, I got to watch them at work from a distance. My experience obviously was not a fluke. It is plain and clear it’s the way they do business. If Subway Corp has any sense they will wipe out this staff and start anew with higher standards.

Slowest place ever!!! The staff is more worried about getting people in a line then doing their work as a Sandwich Artist! And what really sucks even more there’s really not any options in this terminal.

A basic Subway, but it is in the Concourse B at MSY. It is not really much different then what you would expect in any other location. In fact, it reminds me of my local Subway. Similar service and the sandwiches taste the same. They honor the advertised price for those sandwiches. There is always a steady line of customers grabbing a quick sandwich before boarding a plane. Some franchisee made a smart move.

Well, this is clearly my own fault. Airport service is generally crappy on a regular basis, but this was special. I wanted a soda before getting on the plane, so I went to the Subway where there was NOONEINLINE. The two staff were standing with their back to me, one on her cell phone. I cleared my throat(not get someone’s attention, although that did get the one person’s attention). I greeted her and said I’d like a small diet coke. She shared with me(phone still to ear) that she the line was…“down here”…which was two feet from where I was standing. I asked her if that meant she couldn’t take my order from where I was currently standing. She didn’t have a reply, phone still to ear. I went somewhere else for my soda, which seemed to suit her as well.

Not only is this the worst Subway I’ve ever been to but it’s also the worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. The people that work there are inarticulate fools. I arrived in the New Orleans airport at 7:30. The airport was deserted, as was the Subway I walked up to the right end of the counter, directly in front of the woman working there and she promptly informed me that the line started at the left end of the counter. I pointed out that there was no line since I was their only customer. She repeated that the line started to the left. So I moved 7 feet to the left(I paced it off so I could accurately report on this crucial fact). She then proceeded to take my order from the right side of the counter. Of course, she eventually had to move left about 3 feet so that she could procure the necessary ingredients for my sandwich. Eventually I took the bold initiative of moving back to where I started so I could pay for my order. Thankfully, I was not challenged on this move. After I paid for the order I requested a cup of ice water(something I order at every restaurant and have NEVER been refused before) but was told that they could not give me one. I pointed out that they had cups, they had ice, and there was a sink behind them so they certainly had the capability to provide a cup of ice water. A manager type informed me that if he gave me a cup of ice water he would have to give everyone a cup of ice water. I pointed out that there was no one else around. He replied, «That’s what you think.» I could have argued that this was a simple fact and not a conjecture on my part but it was clear that I was not dealing with the sharpest knives in the drawer. As I mentioned above these folks were not the most articulate crowd. You could barely understand what they were saying, which made the entire interaction even more painful. I’ve read that the real unemployment rate is 15% so I assume that there are plenty of highly qualified and willing workers out there. So why doesn’t Subway trade these chuckle-heads in for some new models?
