Sonic Drive-In

This is the best sonic in Metairie/​Kenner. I know it’s against the «popular» Unilocalers to give five stars to a chain restaurant, but they deserve it.
As someone who has an unhealthy addiction to the supersonic breakfast burrito, they literally hit the nail on the head every time I get it from here. Whoever the cook is is really the one who deserves the 5 stars. Even though I don’t live in Metairie anymore, me and my so drive over on occasion to get our breakfast/​burger fix.

Nice people and okay coke. Fast service. Lots of outdoor seating. Good driveway, no holes

Terrible customer service. Visited this place for their highly advertised half price shakes after 8PM. I ordered at 8:01, only to be told when she got to the car that we didn’t order after 8PM «Sonic Time.» This place has their clocks at least 5 minutes behind REAL WORLD TIME to screw over valuable customers without a care. The car hop didn’t give a single care about my car full of people being angry.

Sonic food is standard fast food fare. Nothing spectacular about it, nothing especially terrible. In fact, I really like their selection of drinks and ice cream. On occasion, you can still find a «carhop» that delivers your food on skates.
The problem with this Sonic in not the food. It is the lack of it. The last three times I have been to this Sonic, I left without getting my order. I ordered standard items the first two times and after 20 minutes we left.
Then most recent visit, we ordered ice cream, nothing special. After 24 minutes of waiting, we left. I cannot tell you how it would have tasted, I can’t tell you about the carhop service. All I can tell you is that the person taking the ordered seemed to understand what we wanted, they gave us a price that seemed consistent with what we ordered, then, the items must have disappeared into a black hole on the way to our vehicle.
There is nothing more aggravating that disappointing a kid who wanted ice cream, and twice this Sonic has failed to deliver. No apology, no update, no communication advising that they will be a while, Nothing.

Lately this sonic has been pretty good. They’ve been getting our order right, the food has been fresh and the servers have been friendly;) I hope it stays this way

A GOD-​send!!! They have something for every taste. Flavored teas, Super Sonic Burrito, Mozzarella Sticks… like a short order cook in your very backyard.
This particular Sonic is less than 3 years old and is definitely in the right place and came along at the right time. The staff are swift and quite pleasant. I enjoy stopping in here especially during the drink specials. 9−11am .99c drinks and 4−6p ½ priced drinks (i may have the details a little switched around, but that’s the just of the drinks specials) totally WIN WIN situation!

So this is a brand new Sonic… and as I’ve stated before Sonic is my favorite fast food. This one is fancy, all clean and new, with the new style high arched canopy that Sonic is doing now. Plus there were freaky looking ducks to dodge in the parking lot. I think they were begging for fries & tots. Smart ducks.
