Oh Yeah!!! If you like anything western, you MUST stop by Sylvester’s Western Wear. Once you arrive you get a small taste of the wonderful things that are awaiting you inside. We spent more than 2 hours in there looking at clothes, footwear, jewelry, artwork, crafts, furniture and of course Ms. Bitsy(OMG this tiny Maltese defines cuuuuute!) Sylvester’s also has a large selection of hats and a machine that does something to the hats to make them fit perfectly.(Sorry forgot to ask what the name of it was) We loved this store so much we made a return trip the next day and bought an amazing belt that had an awesome buckle, and fantastic shirt. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how friendly and helpful all the girls are, they spend any amount of time you need to find just the right item you are looking for. Katie and Christine were on the spot when we needed assistance trying to find just the perfect belt for my brother. We also had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and her daughter on our second trip Prices are great, parking is more than ample but the stars of this place are the people and how you feel just being in this cool store! Sure wish you could bring this store to Los Angeles, Thanks for such a memorable experience.

Several years ago I bought my first pair of real Cowboys boots at Sylvester’s. Not really knowing about nicer boots it was great to have a wide range to look at and try on. I was given great sizing advice and walked out happy. Recently I went back for my first nice hat but this time I bought something that did not turn out that well. I decided to return it and had no problems exchanging it for something else. The older gentleman is especially helpful.

Its about the only Western wear place on the Eastbank and they have a decent selection of boots. They have quite a few shirts, jackets and jeans but on a recent visit I just couldn’t find any shirts that really appealed to me. The store seems to be about half men’s and maybe a bit over half women’s items. Some of the prices seemed a bit expensive but many of the items are made in the U.S.A.

Absolute worst customer service. They ruined my boots that were my grandfathers they can never be replaced. They would not accept my return after ruining my grandfathers boots and tried to give me a store credit when I live out of state. I highly recommend going to a different place for your purchases and business.

The biggest Western Wear outlet that I am aware of in the Greater New Orleans area. More boots, cowboy hats, HUGE belt buckles than I have seen since our last visit to Nashville. They also have home-goods, decorative items, gifts, accessories, and a very girl-y boutique area in the back.

Sylvester’s Western Wear probably has to be one of the last places in town where you can buy authentic western wear and cowboy boots. There are a couple of places up Gonzales way, if you’re into traveling I-10. Sylvester’s has been around since before the Urban Cowboy days. Nice selection of shirts, boots, hats, belts, whatever you’re into. I tend towards Panhandle Slims for their cut(slim) and longer arm lengths, but they do have shirts for those stereotyped cowboys that can hide their oversized belt buckles. For the ladies, there is a boutique inside the store for more fashionable clothes and jewelry. The store is a survivor.
