My family LOVES this place. I do not. All I can think about when I walk in is the disgusting smell of the cleaner they use. It smells so overpowering. While it is clean, there is stuff stacked up all over the place near the back. I personally think that work should not be done in the public space. More than once, when my kids dragged me in here there was someone working on a cake, right at the front counter. This bothers me immensely as I don’t like the idea of the general public being in such close proximity with special order items. Once, I cringed as I watched a man lean across the counter while a woman sat there rolling out balls of fondant for decoration on what must have been a very expensive cake. I realize people do not generally eat fondant but, no gloves? The cupcakes are very pretty and taste ok, my kids love them. My daughter’s cupcake was so crumbly that I made her dust off before she got in my car. I had a cupcake with a raspberry on top and there was a green powdery something(mold?) inside the raspberry. I threw it away. I will not go here again.

We chose The Kupcake Factory for our wedding«cake» for three reasons…(1) we wanted more than one or two cake flavors(2) it’s grab-n-go, so no need for servers(3) it’s way cheaper than a traditional wedding cake! I contacted Claudia about 2 months beforehand to «reserve» our place, since we were ordering specialty flavors. We couldn’t decide, so we ended up ordering 10 flavors… cookies & cream, chocolate-vanilla swirl, king cake, lemon-raspberry, mint chocolate, Reese’s pieces, Stout Irishman, sweet spice chocolate, tiramisu, & wedding cake. They were a huge hit! The only flavor that wasn’t a guest favorite was the sweet spice chocolate. There were red pepper flakes in the cream cheese frosting instead of it being cayenne chocolate ganache(as pictured on their website), so it was a little off-putting. However, the top flavors were the mint chocolate, king cake, & lemon-raspberry. We had several people go back for seconds. Claudia is amazing to deal with and the delivery service got them dropped off with zero smooshed cupcakes! I highly recommend this company!!!

The cupcakes were good and at $ 2.50 each, this was one of the cheaper cupcake places I’ve been to.

My wife ordered a sugar free gluten free cake from them for my birthday, it tasted great. the owner did warn my wife that she had never tried a sugar free and gluten free cake at the same time before but it turned out great. I love the cupcakes as well, I’m not much of a frosting person so i usually take it off of my cupcakes but the flavor of the cupcake it self is great. We don’t go too often, but haven’t been disappointed yet when we do go.

Whoever decided to build this place is a genius! Had the salted caramel, chocolate and red velvets last night. So good. Fresh and fluffy… I will be getting more tonight for sure. I thought it was sweet she gave me some minis for free… I wrote this four months ago and gave it five stars, but since have noticed they shrunk their cupcake size. Bad business ethic and I won’t be returning.

There’s no question about it. This place has the best cup cakes in LA and that’s just my personal opinion. I’ve had just about all of their cup cakes and everyone of them were good. They’re always moist and full of flavor. You don’t have to hurry and eat them before they begin to harden like other places. The frosting isn’t to overbearing with sugar. Oh, hurry and get them before they run out because they will.

UPDATE: Update on this review. The cupcakes are fantastic, but BOY could the customer service be better. Had a bad experience roughly a year ago(2014) over ordering a birthday cake and haven’t been back. Oh, and the birthday cake was so nasty we couldn’t eat it. We didn’t bother complaining based on how we were treated. I don’t know what to say other than: I LOVETHESECUPCAKES! The service has always been great and the cupcakes are ALWAYS fresh. If you have a particular cupcake in mind that you’d like, make sure you check their cupcake schedule. I personally love their lemon raspberry the most but it’s only offered on Wednesday & Friday. A coworker of mine bought me a red velvet birthday cake from the Kupcake Factory. and it was by far the best red velvet I’ve had! You can’t go wrong here :)

Wow. Talk about GREAT cupcakes. These are made fresh DAILY. The icing is so amazing, I can’t express enough how delicious they are. I met the owners — very nice. A Latino family, which makes me happy to see fellow Latino Entrepreneurs.

These are literally the best cupcakes we’ve ever had! They have about 35 different flavors that alternate throughout the week and everyone we’ve tried(so far) has been amazing.

Went there to buy cupcakes for a friends birthday… they are delicious!!! I had mentioned she was a breast cancer survivor and they put pink icing and made the breast cancer ribbon symbol on each cupcake and wrapped the box with different shades of pink ribbon!!!

Yum, Yum and more Yum!!! I ordered my wedding cake from Kupcake Factory. The owner was amazing and gave me a great price on my cake. I had 2 tiers of cake and 3 tiers of cupcakes. The cake was wonderful! My guests loved having the individual cupcakes. Also, the top tier did not make it through the year, we ate it at Christmas time with some friends, even 2 months later the cake tasted great!

I am disappointed with the new location in the old tcby store. They dont have gelato anymore just empty cases and the atmosphere is instituional/boring. Def take it to go! The old location across the street had cute kid chairs and a cozy atmosphere :(However the cupcakes are devine. They really are the best in town and lots of clever flavors to choose from. you can buy day old ones too for half the price. Kinda pricey for cupcakes but they are«gourmet»

One Word REDVELVET! These people are not only always very nice but they dish out the best«Kup» cakes in the city! They did my daughter’s first birthday cake and did a Jumbo cupcake for her to devour and tear up for her first birthday. The actual cake in their cupcake is extremely moist and delicious. The flavors are true to their names and what they represent and super yummy. Glad they took over the Bee Sweet location on Metairie Road as IMO they are soo much better. They moved just across the street and are now in the same cnter as Starbucks and Sake Café.

These are the best cupcakes around! Totally rich and delicious! This location is the first one that opened(actually it was across the street.) They did so well that they eventually opened 3 more stores. There are so many good ones to choose from. My 4 favorites are: The Reeses Pieces(brownie chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting & Reeses Pieces candy bits mixed in), The White n’ Black(yellow cake with chocolate frosting), The Fat Elvis(banana cake with peanut butter frosting) and The Red Velvet. Yum!
