Walmart Supercenter

I came into this store to buy a toy or two for a birthday. I picked up said toys, both of which were clearly marked on sale. Both were the last items. The cashier was the laziest person I had EVER encountered. She said that it didn’t have the correct price on it. She made me wait in line with her for more than 10 minutes waiting for someone from toys to respond. I got tired of waiting so I went up to customer service with both toys. These two toys were very big… over two feet long by more than one foot high. Customer service said that one of the toys was put in the wrong section… that it wasn’t on sale. I gave it to them and said that I would be purchasing only the other one. Paid for it. It was too big to put in a bag so I was awkwardly carrying it out of the store WITH THE RECEIPT IN MY HAND, OUT AND VISIBLE FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDED TO CHECK. When I walked past the initial lazy cashier she started yelling something. I didn’t understand her so i kept walking towards the front receipt checker. A commotion begins. They chevker waived me on when manager comes questioning the people around me. The lazy clerk yells … «no … that one!» At this point the manager asks me where the other merchandise is. I say «it’s not my problem…» I said this because it was OBVIOUS that I didn’t have it. It was a huge ride on toy!
Lazy clerk was just being ugly. She knew I didn’t have it, new I wasn’t stealing it. She did that just to screw with me. Had the manager known what «merchandise» lazy clerk was talking about lazy clerk may have been fired. I had one item in my arms and a receipt for it. Stay away from this store for ANYTHING

This Walmart used to be the best Walmart by far and with the past 2 to 3 years it has gone down at a rapid speed it used to have friendly employees with the regional manager Mr. Brian and all the old better tears were there everyone was kind and happy and you could see what a manager treats their employees well trained them well because it shows through their customer service unfortunately most of the newest people working there are all related and have attitudes

Produce is icky and store has understaffed checkouts. Let’s not even get into the WORST customer service you could ever imagine.

I only go here when my nerves can stand walking half a mile from my car to the back of the store just for some eggs and milk. The shopping carts at this location will work your nerves. They are old and need replacing! The wheels make loud noises along with the cart shaking and veering to the left or right while you’re simply trying to go straight. I tried to avoid the cashiers by using the self check out, but if you have adult beverages, you must stand in the other lines. The older the cashiers, the more friendly they seem. That’s just my experience.
So overall, I’ll go here when I don’t feel like paying more at Rouses just blocks away, but the frustration you sometimes encounter makes up for the pennys you save. Bring some patience or take some xanax before going in this place.

Absolutely no help at all i don’t recommend this Walmart to anyone, they gave us the wrong price on a cooler charging us more than it really was! After we informed them about what happened the staff kept us waiting for over 15 minutes. We had to go back and take a picture of the price so that we could get the right price and checked out. Worst staff at Walmart by far.

I love this wal mart. I can find everything I need and more. For some reason I like to go at night because its hardly packed unless its the holidays. I just really love beong able to find what I need and not having to go through stuff that doesn’t belong in the aisle to find it. Oh yeah its a nice size wal mart and parking is cool as well.

This walmart has not moved or renovated so I’m not sure why they have a new listing but whatever…
I’m really hating how this walmart handles checking out overnight now and I hope it doesn’t become a thing at the other area walmarts. Overnight the only registers open are the self serve. Most of the time you can’t find the cashier that supposed to be overseeing those. Did I mention I hate the self checkouts themselves? The scale part is annoying. Don’t even bother trying to buy alcohol or cigarettes during the night here.
This walmart seems to have the crankiest employees even when compared with the Tchoupitoulas one. No warmth, no friendliness, heck not even helpfulness. I brave this walmart in the middle of the night and god forbid you might need to get down an aisle getting stocked. Be prepared for stink eye or terse and abrupt conversations.
The only redeeming qualities of this walmart is they’re the only one in the GNO area that stocks real sugar wild cherry pepsi, they’re 24 hrs and they have pretty good clearance from time to time.
All in all I think I’ll stick with the Chalmette one.
